I sat here one Friday evening at the bar. The bartender gave me a side of Peruvian roasted corn with a side of spicy yellow and spicy green sauce. This was my first time tasting spicy yellow sauce (salsa a la huancaína), and I could not get enough of it! It was so good that I will make it at home to flavor poultry and fish. I ordered the Seafood Arroz Chaufa. The seafood was unbelievably fresh, and the portion was big enough for two people to share, but the rice needed more seasoning. The bartender made the Passionfruit Pisco Sour "strong with just a hint of sweetness", and it came out perfect! The interior looks perfect for date night and a meal with friends or family, and the table place settings are chic (see photo below). A shout out goes to the bartender and chef for giving me a wonderful Peruvian dining experience! I will return to try other things on the menu. read more

The food was excellent, i had their salmon tar tar and grilled octopus (entre) it was delicious. other orders in my group included the picaña, salmon and some other apps that were being raved about! The customer service is great from the girl making reservations over the phone to the ones at the table. Live music is always a plus for me! there was a 1 man show on Saturday night. Why i didn't give more stars: the drinks took very long, i would say 10 minutes for the sangrias and 15 minutes for mojitos/ martinis which is a long time just to get drinks (first thing we ordered) although they took long, the drinks were good. The other reason was due to feeling rushed out of the restaurant a few mins after 10pm although i made reservations at 8 because maps showed me that they close at 11pm on Saturdays. Check was brought to the table without asking if we wanted anything before closing out which i thought was odd. i would encourage them to follow the times listed for closing, totally understand an early night for everyone but they could give guest more time without giving off a rushing feeling, i would never stay past closing time and i believe we were out of there before 10:30. WiFi is available almost everywhere these days but it was not here, just something to keep in mind (we asked for it to connect my daughters iPad) All in all, i would return to try more of their food items, seems like that have a great chef! read more

We came here for lunch. We got the scallops and there was a small scallop in a shell and 90% of it was chopped up onions on top of it. Definitely not worth the price. ceviche was not spiced at all, very bland and we asked for hot sauce and salt and added that in order to eat it. Nobody checked on us or cleaned off our dirty dishes. The roasted chicken was dry and bland. They gave a small amount of dressing that I dipped my chicken in and then there was no dressing for the salad, but nobody ever came for me to ask for more. The place was totally empty and then they put two people next to us that had such strong perfume and lotion on them instead of spacing us out in the restaurant. The service was wonderful and the food was amazing. I was torn on what to order and the server helped me choose. She nailed it. Both apps were so good. I loved the depth of flavors in the salmon tartar. The citrus packed a punch but was complimented perfectly with the delightful yellow sauce and lots of drops of different flavors. I'm not sure what was in the sauce part but it was delicious. The little white crispy pillows were phenomenal. They melted in your tongue. It was so fun to eat. The potato dish was also so tasty. Came for my father's birthday ! Special thank you to Pierre the manager! He was incredible in helping us after my sister forgot to make a reservation. After driving 30 minutes, Pierre worked his magic to help us out!!! We truly appreciate your help and hospitality. The place is not huge but it's filled with good vibes. This was Saturday evening so busy time. The live music definitely added a calm acoustic hug to the evening. The drink were good, food was cooked to my liking and served within reasonable time. First time coming to Brasas Peru bar, and it was a nice and festive dinner before going out in town for Halloween, and the vibe was very comfortable and themed. The llama upon entry was pretty funny, and enjoyed the warm welcome from the hostesses. We got sat at a very nice table, beautiful touch with the utensil rest we haven't seen since Europe, and the server was very friendly and accommodating. We got two spooky margaritas that were bubbling with dry ice, and then I got one chicken dish and she got the sliced steak with pesto pappardelle, which was both delicious. My boyfriend and I came here recently, not sure what to expect. I was thinking it'd be similar to the more casual, family style Peruvian restaurants I've been to, but this place definitely has more of an upscale vibe. Very sleek and dimly lit interior, with an odd selection music videos blasting and playing on a projector in the back (Lenny Kravitz, a lot of 90's Aerosmith). The bar is featured very prominently in the space, and I think they're waiting to get their liquor license. But overall not really my kind of atmosphere. We split the half rotisserie chicken, that came with a few fries and a green salad with avocado and cucumber. The chicken was cooked well, very tender, but I felt like the skin was too salty, and it seemed to have too much sauce on it for my taste. The orange sauce it comes with was very good though. We also got two side dishes to round the meal out, the fried plantain and beans. The plantains (very hard to mess up) were delicious. The beans (kidney) came out in a sort of stew with minced onions and peppers. It wasn't clear on the menu what kind of beans these were, and I would've liked to know because I don't really care for kidney beans. Still this is just a matter of personal preference; they were prepared well. The meal was pretty expensive for what we got, and none of it really blew me away. I don't know how the food is because I have been sitting here for an hour and a half waiting for it. The drinks list lacks decent wine by the glass. There are some relative bargains by the bottle. The room is crowded but the noise level is OK. The food eventually came. It was not worth waiting for. My steak, while reasonably tender, was well enough salted to preserve it for the next generation. (If you find yourself stuck here, order the rotisserie chicken.) The coup de grâce is that they charge you a mandatory 20% for the bad service. read more

This might just be my new favorite restaurant in Huntington village! Incredible food, so fresh and unique. Amazing ambience, great music, and top notch drinks! We stopped in during a food crawl through the village and we were very impressed. At the bar, they started us out with a little bowl of Cuzco toasted corn, which was a delightful snack. If I could give partial stars, I would rate this a 4.75. We went out for a work dinner, so adults only! It was freezing outside and as soon as you stepped in, you could feel the warm and cozy atmosphere immediately! The decorations for the holidays were beautiful! We especially loved the Christmas Llama! The service was friendly but I think intentionally delayed. The server gave us plenty of time to talk and select our orders. Anytime I called over to our server, she arrived immediately, which is why I think it was intentional. The food and drinks were amazing. I ordered a spicy margarita and it came with a tahin rim and a fun smoky light cube (see picture below). I ordered the filet mignon for dinner and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked, great flavor, and perfectly sized portion. My only suggestion or request would be to have more appetizer options. **!!!Watch out!!** when you patronize this place. I was there on new years eve, and was not served my entree or dessert, and got 2 drinks (the second one not finished since we left), for 110 dollars. They said it was due to changing seats??? Meanwhile we were served our salad so they knew we were there, so that was confusing. And then they had the gall to say we didn't even pay, which again is strange because we were served salad and drinks and were given armbands, so this makes no sense. An amazing addition to the competitive Huntington scene. The ambience is warm and inviting and the food was top notch. I absolutely loved this place. As soon As I walked I was greeted by Rommy and she was an absolute angel all throughout the service. She had a big smile at all times and was very pleasant. My friend and I ordered a few rounds of Mojitos which Rommy also made, and omg those were the best mojitos we've had in our lives. She absolutely knows what she's doing. My son had the salchipapa and the fries were amazing with that as well. We made the mistake of going on a beautiful sunny day and it is very dark inside and the vibe is a little odd for lunch with a giant screen in the back playing music videos. Having said that, probably would be a much better choice ambience wise for dinner. The sangria was a little pricey but a nice full glass and was delicious and not too sweet.
