    Skirt Steak and Pesto Pappardelle

First time coming to Brasas Peru bar, and it was a nice and festive dinner before going out in town for Halloween, and the vibe was very comfortable and themed. The llama upon entry was pretty funny, and enjoyed the warm welcome from the hostesses. We got sat at a very nice table, beautiful touch with the utensil rest we haven't seen since Europe, and the server was very friendly and accommodating. We got two spooky margaritas that were bubbling with dry ice, and then I got one chicken dish and she got the sliced steak with pesto pappardelle, which was both delicious. Great addition to Huntington, a different type of flavor, and welcome to the neighborhood!

In what was once another good restaurant, Brasas has made the space their own! Friendly staff and great food in a wonderful atmosphere. Table service was attentive and on the night we were there, a sax player had the floor to entertain patrons while dining. Great new addition to the downtown area.

Talk about a gold mine for your mouth!!! Huntington always has these little hidden gems. Brásas Peru bistro bar is obstenibly one of them. The place is quaint, clean, and cozy. Service with a welcoming smile. Portions were suitable and rich in unbelievable flavors. Take the journey as we did. I promise you it's a memory worth making.

My boyfriend and I came here recently, not sure what to expect. I was thinking it'd be similar to the more casual, family style Peruvian restaurants I've been to, but this place definitely has more of an upscale vibe. Very sleek and dimly lit interior, with an odd selection music videos blasting and playing on a projector in the back (Lenny Kravitz, a lot of 90's Aerosmith). The bar is featured very prominently in the space, and I think they're waiting to get their liquor license. But overall not really my kind of atmosphere. We split the half rotisserie chicken, that came with a few fries and a green salad with avocado and cucumber. The chicken was cooked well, very tender, but I felt like the skin was too salty, and it seemed to have too much sauce on it for my taste. The orange sauce it comes with was very good though. We also got two side dishes to round the meal out, the fried plantain and beans. The plantains (very hard to mess up) were delicious. The beans (kidney) came out in a sort of stew with minced onions and peppers. It wasn't clear on the menu what kind of beans these were, and I would've liked to know because I don't really care for kidney beans. Still this is just a matter of personal preference; they were prepared well. The meal was pretty expensive for what we got, and none of it really blew me away. Maybe we'll come back to try something else, maybe not.

This might just be my new favorite restaurant in Huntington village! Incredible food, so fresh and unique. Amazing ambience, great music, and top notch drinks! We stopped in during a food crawl through the village and we were very impressed. At the bar, they started us out with a little bowl of Cuzco toasted corn, which was a delightful snack. Our server Javier was great. He recommended a couple of appetizers -the Causa & the Papa a la Huanciana, along with a Pisco sour. We loved everything he suggested. We will be regulars here. Definitely recommend!

Everything about this place was amazing. We were on a waiting list for another restaurant for 30 to 40 minutes and then ended up being more than an hour and 20 minutes so we decided to go elsewhere and thank God for that because we stumbled upon this place on 25A and honestly it's one of the best meals I've had. If you like Latin or Asian food you'll love this. Elite Peruvian cuisine.

Located in a strip mall the place may be small in square footage but big on ambiance. We arrived about 6pm and were lucky enough to score a two seat table. It was almost filled to capacity with lots of diners enjoying their meals. With great Latin music playing and laid back vibe, I was looking forward to a great meal. John our server was polite and efficient. We started off with traditional Peruvian golden lager, Cusquena. Crisp and delicious! Two ceviche appetizers and two steak entrees. We're ceviche lovers and throughly enjoyed those dishes. The Honey enjoyed his Lomo Saltado. The traditional Peruvian stir fry dish. Strips of beef sirloin, red peppers, onions and tomatoes. Served with French fries and white rice. My Tacu Tacu Steak with rice and beans was a hit, and miss. The steak was tough and the rice and beans, really "starchy". It's hard to explain they tasted heavy and sticky. The portions are generous so I had leftovers for home. Surprisingly, the dish tasted better the next day. The menu highlights their Happy Hour and Wine Down Wednesdays. We're looking forward to returning for one or both :) of those! For some warm vibes, good service and fresh food this place is worth a visit. Thank me later.....

Their food, service and hospitality has been always been five star. So when something is so good why change, just expand. We visit the Huntington location quite often. We start with Pina Coladas and Cuba Libre (rum and coke), for appetizers the chorizo and tamales. While there is an assortment of meats, fish and chicken, our favorite is the ropa veija, tender shredded beef in a wonderful sauce with the best steamed white rice and of course madoros. Another hit of ours is the breaded steak and my new favorite, the broiled flounder. Our next dish will be the paella. Just need to call ahead. The Flan, Tres Leches cake and Cuban coffee is always a good ending. The service is always top notch. Red and white table cloths. A bar area with a separate dining area. You may even be lucky to catch a unique celebration song and dance by one of the staff. Make sure you have your camera ready. And a special thank you to Raul. The last time we were there, I tried a new dish that was good, but not something that enjoyed. Don't you know it, Raul surprised me and sent me home with a serving of Ropa Vieja. Thank you Raul.
