My 2010 Prius was badly damaged when a tire from another car flew into my vehicle while I was driving on local highway 169. This happened on a Saturday morning just five days before Thanksgiving, and based on the damage, I honestly thought I'd be without a car for the entire holiday. Desperately, I reached out to Paul, my trusted store manager at Firestone Covington, and he suggested I contact Bratch Auto Body in Kent. It was already around 10 AM, and Google Maps showed they were closed on Saturdays. I called anyway, expecting to leave a message - but someone answered and told me to bring the car in right away. From that moment on, everything was outstanding. The store manager inspected my car, gave me a clear estimate, and an expected completion date. I was shocked (in the best way) when he said it would be ready by Tuesday. The price was also very reasonable, much lower than I had expected. Since I needed a rental car, I planned to walk to Avis in the rain, about 20 minutes away. But the young lady at the front desk stopped me and said she would ask her boss to help. A minute later, the store manager personally drove me to the rental location. The kindness truly meant a lot to me, especially because of the unusual events I had to go through that day. On Tuesday at 2 PM, I picked up my car, fully repaired. The manager carefully walked me through what was found and fixed, showing photos from each stage of the repair. The work was done professionally and thoroughly. They even washed, waxed, and detailed the interior. My 15-year-old car came back looking almost brand new. Today is Thanksgiving, and thanks to Bratch Auto, my car is back safely in my garage. I chose Bratch almost randomly, but from the initial contact to get an estimate, to when the car was completed, I knew I had made the right decision in choosing them to get a large portion of my car painted due to scratches caused by a chain link fence falling into it. I can't be happier with the result. My car looks like new, and there isn't any noticeable color variation between the old paint (12 years old) and the work they did. After years of patronizing, plus sending personal and professional referrals--that has come to an unfortunate end. My car was vandalized causing enough damage to warrant reaching out to bratch's. I made the trek from rural snohomish because I am now widowed and my dad is retired out of state. The difference in service was remarkable and in the worst way possible. My insurance handled communication poorly but after further investigation so did my former friends of Bratch. They inflated the costs sooo much that it appears my car was totaled; the new parts they supposedly replaced? Not new so now my car is not "insurable". In unwinding, we learned that an itemized invoice was never produced; something my then insurance should've caught. Did I mention it took nearly 3months for cosmetic repairs. Granted-my car was trashed BUT there was zero communication or urgency. My key fob was also lost in the process. Never again. I had my front bumper re sprayed here to remove rock chips and to fill front bumper license plate holes. They also installed a splitter and carbon fiber lip. The passenger side splitter wasn't fully flush, I came back and brought my car because I am very OCD and want everything to be perfect. They took care of me and fixed my issue. If you're a woman, and you come alone, proceed with caution. Surinder will proceed to make an estimate and then say that you need something else replaced. I still have 4 inches left on my front brake pads and 6 inches on the back. They'll provide you with a pick up date but never live up to the promise. Highly recommend this place. They charged me $500 for some deep scratches on the back of my Acura, compared to this other place I got an estimate for almost $1000. The other place I previously went to said that it would take them a week to get my car back to me as well. I think the guy who helped me out at Bratch's was name Survinder, but he said that I could bring my car that Wednesday morning and it would be done by 5pm and he did. Less time, less money. I ended up here by accident. I literally rolled into their shop scraping the ground under me as I drove! Turns out my suspension was completely busted on one side. I showed up at 2:30 on a Monday and I had my car back by 5pm on Tuesday! I was quoted 550 and then on the phone 630. When I went to pay he only charged me 555. Great price and great turn around time. Go to Bratch because of the good reviews but turn out it was a disappointment. I got my repair quoted with the owner and told them exactly where on the car I wanted it to be repainted, repair etc. When I pick up my car the first time only half of the work was done so I bring it back to have them paint the other part that need to be painted. The job that they do on the second time I got my car back was half ass but at this point I gave up because every time I have to pick up my car I need my friend to drive me and they just play dumb and refused to do a better job. On top of that the wire behind the bumper was not wired probably, I can see unconnected wire hanging underneath my bumper. Pro: not much dust or particle on the paint job Probably better than Maaco Decent price Con: Did not sand or strip the base paint. It leaves bubbles in some area of the paint and you could peel off their new paint by hand. Only do half the job that was quoted on the paper. read more

Not the case here - a friend of mine who works in auto insurance claims sent me to Surinder (Bratch) after a moment of poor judgement where I sent my new car flying right into a concrete barrier. I called around to 5 or 6 other shops and they were the cheapest by about HALF. Surinder is a friendly, to-the-point guy. Don't let the outside appearance fool you, the staff is very friendly, and I had great conversations with the owner. He has owned this place for 17 years and business is good! I came to this shop to get my rear bumper fixed from someone rear ending me. I was wanting to get my front end fixed as well, to get my custom bodywork patched up. He ended up fixing the front end for FREE, and he said it was on the house. (It would have cost around $300). Upon dropping my car off, the owner even personally drove me back to my place. Didn't know much about this place but needed some aftermarket parts painted. They quoted me a price that was less than half of what the other shops wanted to paint parts of a body kit and a spoiler. The paint job turned out excellent with no dust nibs or paint runs. After shopping around and researching many shops--some recommended by BMW Seattle, I settled on Bratch for the price and ease of service. They had the best price, were able to get me in in couple days instead of couple of weeks, and the level of cars they had in their garage assured me they knew what they were doing. I had my bumper repainted due to rock chips and filled-in license plate holes. Dropped off the car Monday and picked up on Wednesday. Results: The paint in the sunlight is a 95% match; I don't think it's ever possible to be 100% due to how the factory paint and cure the original paint. But it's damn good. There were a few rock-chip pockmarks that weren't properly sand down before painting and a bit of paint droop mark. I've brought this up to Surinder and he said he would fix it no problem. However, I was happy enough with the overall job and we ended up working out a deal. I love how they don't nickel and dime you! Will definitely be back for future jobs! The good: the repairs were well done and of good quality. Ultimately, this is what matters The bad: Was told on two occasions that car would be ready, only to then told it was not - a delay of a day and inconvenience to reschedule pickup twice. I had my car there for 3-4 months with literally nothing at all done to my car. These people take advantage of you. I'm a 23 year old single female who knows little about vehicles and what repairs cost. I brought in my (front end damaged) Honda and was quoted $2600 for a job that my brother later told me was only a $1500 dollar fix. There was no word for months from them and I had to call several times to check status on the vehicle. I was always told that this will be done soon but that was a lie. I was actually willing to pay that amount. I am furious due to lack of communication and the incredibly disrespectful attitude they have towards customers. On top of this, the time that it took for everything was ridiculous. I honestly wonder how much longer they would've ignored my vehicle for. My brother got the car working in one day. My Libra nature is making this review a bit hard to write. I brought my SUV here based on Yelp reviews. I got a quick and detailed quote for a driver side plastic bumper repair . There were a lot of cars parked outside. Everyone was courteous. My car was repaired while I was out of town. My daughter paid, drove the car to her house and picked me up at the airport. It was dark by this time so I didn't get a chance to inspect until the next day. My car had been gone through! There was stuff from the front thrown in back and my binoculars were gone. There was two huge scratches on the drivers side bumper! I keep forgetting the "don't leave anything in your car" rule here in Seattle so my bad for that but still. The cars are just left out front? I returned the next day to discuss and after a bit of discussion was nicely told they would take care of the repair and made an appt. for the following week. The work is good, however, the times quoted for repair are questionable. I was told I'd be called with a status and nobody called. Anyway they do good work but as far as customer service goes there could be improvements and a locked up yard would be a good idea read more
