I have a pet peeve when ice cream stores leave their ice cream out of the freezer to soften it to make it easier to scoop. You see, I like ice cream for the texture as much as the taste. While waiting in line for my malt, I noticed an employee using the base of her thumb to keep a scoop of ice cream in a cup. This employee was NOT WEARING GLOVES! Then I noticed not a single, ice cream-scooping employee in this very busy store on a warm Friday night was wearing gloves. My malt was not mixed correctly. I had wanted a nice treat to enjoy on my commute home after a long week, but it was so thick I was afraid of getting a blood blister. I LOVE Braums. I tell my husband when we are driving if we ever see one to stop. We always just get a Cherry Limeade. You can watch them squeeze about 4 entire fresh limes into the drink. I do think the workers hate to make them, as it always seems to get passed off to the lowest man standing. I also got a delicious mixed yogurt cone for only $1!!! I heard that they have really good milk here by the gallon - they have their own farms - so we got some. We were talking to neighbors and they love the milk too (we haven't tried it yet, we have to finish off the last gallon, but I am excited!) We have never had anything other than the limeade (and now the yogurt) - I bet the burgers are good. I love ice cream and I love my experience whenever I go to a Braum's to have my ice cream. This location was great, but service was a bit slow when we visited (they seemed a bit short staffed). Service otherwise was great and we loved the ice cream. Will come again!! read more

Whenever I'm in TX or OK or anywhere near a Braum's (like MO) I most definitely have to stop and enjoy a great burger, crinkle cut fries and ice cream - and don't forget to take some cinnamon rolls home with you. I didn't give 5 stars because some of the workers were looking a little lost when there were customers to assist. Overall, the visit was well worth the calories for this trip. When you walk in you just get that "50's decade burgers & shakes diner feeling" and while Braums is most notably known for its frozen dairy desserts, they can serve up a good meal too. Their chicken sandwiches can be ordered fried or grilled & of course I chose the latter. Despite my dislike of sesame seed buns, theirs is not that bad and it's soft and fresh tasting. This store was extremely dirty! The employee's were not at all pleasant. If I had not left my cell in my vehicle I would have taken pictures. The counters were dirty, the cases were filthy, the machines were nasty looking, the floor looks as though it had not been cleaned in days and the employee's aprons were dirty. I totally get they're dealing with food; cream, milk, grease etc. etc. However a change of aprons during a shift would be more pleasing to look at. The young man which waited on me, did not even speak at first. He just nodded! I take-it that meant; what would I like. The other employee's before him seemed to walk aimlessly behind the counter. Glancing at me but not asking if they could help. I had visited this location a while back and I was not impressed. I just felt I had gone on a bad day. As well I had gone to the location off of Lemmon Avenue on Inwood Road. The attuide there was much to be desired. Braum's is a very unique store. Here's what they offer -- great burgers, great ice-cream, and a small grocery store. Sounds like a very different offering, doesn't it? And it is. Here are a few things you need to know about Braum's. One, hey are based in Oklahoma and are family owned. Their geographic reach is small. For example, there are no Braum's south of Hillsboro, Tx. Two, ALL of their offerings (groceries, hamburgers, milk, ice-cream, etc.) are organic. They've been hormone free for their entire existence and still don't advertise to that fact. Is it the best looking store no but the staff is always friendly. I know this store is one of the older from this franchise but the staff here are what make this location stand out. Service has gotten better they hired an older Caucasian male at the second window and a older female taking orders and they are WAY better than all the others. This location stinks. I was the only customer around and went through the drive thru this morning...I've been thinking about a Braums sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit since last night. I order that and hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were cold and soggy, but I ate them anyway cause they are freaking hashbrowns. I get to work and it's very busy, saving my biscuit for a early mornings work reward. I heat her up in the microwave, mouth watering thinking how delicious this and my cup of coffee are going to go together. I open it and to my delight it is only egg and cheese. No meat. Total bummer. I should have made sure at the window, I guess, exactly what I got. But when you order something, expect something and pay for something. YOU SHOULD GET IT! very frustrated considering the 12+ hours I wanted it. It comes with your choice of meat for crying out loud, you have to think that you would need to make it a strong point to get NO MEAT on a breakfast sandwich. I'm sure the ice cream is fine and the milk in the grocery is always delicious. I use to go to Braum's as a child in Tulsa and haven't been since so you know I was super excited to see one! Decided on the drive through since it was 97 degrees and I truly didn't want to get out the car. Ordered a brownie sundae and the brownie was rock hard. I could not get the spoon through it. Went to the order window and told the young man who said absolutely nothing. I said hello, he said nothing. So I drove around to the window thinking he didn't hear me. He held the garbage can to the window for me to dump it as if I was dumping my human waste and waved we to the next window. How incredibly rude! The guy at the next window asked me to pull up and after 10 minutes, a really nice young lady came out with a fresh one and apologized. It was good but this location sucks. read more

I take the kids here probably once a week. I'm addicted to the cappuccino chunky chocolate frozen yogurt and the prices are very reasonable. It's really hit or miss as to whether the store will be clean or disgusting. Came inside for a change because the drive thru was too long... so glad I did. Standing at the to go counter watching the kitchen I see a worker drop a bun on the floor, pick it up and throw it back in the basket to be used ... at that moment the manger walks up, grabs a bun from the basket to start making a burger. I had to yell out to stop him. Luckily he was responsive and thanked me then through out the basket of buns ... he would have removed the basket and washed it.
