The place was very clean and well-kept, which immediately stood out. There's also a nostalgic feel for me whenever I visit Braum's, which made the stop even more enjoyable. I ordered the crinkle fries and a small sundae with hot fudge, both hit the spot and brought back some great memories. Also had a great price point $10 for all the snacks. Even though it's a chain, everything felt fresh and well-managed, and the staff was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the shop too. The dining area is a bit smaller than what I'm used to (I'm from Richardson where the Braum's are huge) but I was thankful for a clean area to sit in with my toddler. Brownie fudge sundae with extra almonds is my go-to. Small vanilla come for then little one. We loved our ice cream date. Too bad they didn't have an outdoor seating area. Is this the policy of Braum's?? Upon entering was dripping ice cream from boxes that was on a rolling cart. We stood in line for approximately 30 min. I quietly pulled the manager to the side. I spoke with the assistant manager face to face.... I won't mention her name because I don't want anyone fired but she told me that they scoop ice cream from the top. I told her that that's unsanitary. She said that she would put it back in the freezer. I told her but that's nasty. She looked at me and continue to serve the next customer. Braums I'm just asking that you properly train management. You should not refreeze ice cream that's been sitting out for an hour nor should Braums serve ice cream that's is sitting out on a cart dripping to the floor. My friend Jerry asked his kids where they wanted to go for ice cream and they all said "Braum's"! Braum's Ice Cream boasts almost 300 stores throughout Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Missouri and Arkansas. They are all located within a 300 mile radius of the Braum Family Farm. They are open 7 days a week and are "three stores in one" with a Grill, Old Fashioned Ice Cream Fountain and a Fresh Market Grocery. Oh and don't forget a drive-thru. They are well known for their reasonable prices. We got 4 single dip cones and 1 double dipped cone for $9! This location was clean, well maintained and friendly and fast employees. I have never been in an ice cream place that also served grill food. The closest for me would be a Dairy Queen, but this is much more impressive because of their impressive real ice cream and sundaes made from locally sourced ingredients. They have everything banana splits, sundaes, cones, soft frozen yogurt, malts, shakes and frozen sherbet. Their Grill serves hamburgers, chicken, salads and fries. We only got ice cream and sherbet on a cones. My blue colored birthday cake ice cream with pieces of vanilla cake was spot on! Braum's has a lot to offer and ice cream is just the tip of the iceberg. I have to say, Braum's is great with their service at this location. It was storming and raining pretty hard. I ordered a good amount of food and I had to pull to a parking spot for them to bring it out to me. Glad I didn't have to go out in the rain and thankful for the service. It's fast food so of course I can't compare it to a burger house or American diner, but they hit the spot!! Great job! read more

I have only been here this one time though so I don't know if it's s.o.p for employees to be yelling at each other over the customers heads who are sitting at the tables but I didn't dig it. I absolutely love this place. We visited the location New Years Eve it was cold as heck outside. I wasn't really feeling the whole walk up concept. Been coming to this location for a long time. Last couple of visits to get a large frozen yogurt mixer they fill the cup only 3/4 of the way full. When repeating the order to him , he kept saying vanilla and butter pecan and we repeated to them the correct order at least twice and he finally said it right but when we got our ice cream it turned out that he didn't listen to us at all and still gave us one with Vanilla and butter pecan. Never coming back to this location. They weren't even busy and he kept getting the order wrong. When we moved to Rowlett last July 2016 we had to find new places for everything. Braums was recommended for the ice cream but then we found they were a very reasonably priced mil/bread store and my husband loves their jalapeno burgers!! I think their milk shakes are very good and being a cheese burger person I do love their California burger. The staff is always friendly and recommend things I hadn't seen, sometimes we end up here twice a day going somewhere and returning into town. I rather like this place. I get my favorite icecreams here: Chunky Chocolate Cappucino and Rocky Road on a cone with hard chocolate coating. It's really tasty and except for 1-3 different employees who seem to hate their job, the other staff is sweet and courteous. We even have a girl there who knows just what we like so when we come up, she starts preparing what we want and she does AWESOME. A good place, I think. They don't mess up the orders often at all. The only thing I really dislike is if they arent busy at the end, sometimes they'll close shop early so you show up before closing hours but they're already shutting down for the night 30-45 minutes ahead of time. read more

This location on Lakeview Parkway is definitely NOT the best. I hadn't visited this location in a couple of years even though it's the closest to my house, I always go to the one in Garland because the food is always fresh and hot. The food is ALWAYS cold whenever I visit this location! I gave it another try today on my lunch break and it was the same old, same old! My fries were cold and tasted like they had sat under the heat lamp for a while but the burger was ok, the meat was a little burnt but not inedible. How can you mess up an ice cream order? I ordered 5 small sundaes , a banana split and one other sundae (which was forgotten). I understand if I had a big food order but all I had was ice cream. I work in the automotive industry where people complain all day everyday. I understand and have much more patience than most. To add insult to injury when my wife called the phone was put down on a counter and was on everlasting hold. She was still on hold when I got back to the restaurant. Talked to asst manager Lulu where no apology was given and I wasn't offered a refund or to have my sundae made. Her attitude was "what would you like me to do?" I ultimately just asked for the refund. There's only one in Rowlett so I'm sure I'll go back but I ask.....what happened to customer service? I lose money every month because of surveys and complaints but I genuinely want to do good customer service. People just don't care anymore. This location in Rowlett consistently SUCKS!!! But I keep going back, every few months, hoping they will get their act together. I use this location, since it's closest to my house. The drive-thru, consistently screws up orders... get orders WRONG! I'm convinced they can't hear due to noisy Air Conditioning Unit next to the drive-thru. I have been to this location several times solely for the frozen yogurt. Although the yogurt tastes good and is affordable, the customer service has been atrocious every single time. I would have continued to go if there was simply decent customer service, but this place is a joke and I simply cannot give it another chance. When we drove up to pay, she was very rude and got so annoyed that I had the "audacity" to kindly ask for covers for the frozen yogurts. She didn't even put the covers on for us. It was so awkward, as if I took money out of her paycheck by asking for plastic covers. I had 5 orders of frozen yogurt to bring home to my family in 90+ degree weather; the two of us couldn't possible hold all of the orders in our laps without covers and hope it doesn't melt everywhere. This Braums is ALWAYS "out" of my favorite flavor. So what is the point? It does not seem to matter what time of day or what day of week, they claim to be "out".
