Customer service is a huge part of any business, and based on my most recent visit as well as a few previous one I left feeling disappointed. I genuinely enjoy this place and want to keep coming back, so I hope management takes a closer look at the customer experience and holds staff to a higher standard. The bar has a lot of potential, but the service needs to match the quality of the drinks.

I didn't eat a single bite of it. My wife's steak arrived medium-well, and her side of rice was completely dry. The bottle of red wine we ordered from their very small wine list was served warm. When we declined having the steak re-fired or free dessert, we finished our wine and asked for the check. The $62 inedible steak was still on the bill, so I asked to speak with the owner. When I calmly explained the issues, the owner became angry that I didn't want the steak redone and walked away mid-conversation. He eventually came back, removed the $62 steak, and told us he didn't want us back in his restaurant. To top it off, for an establishment charging fine-dining prices where guests dress up, the owner was wearing shorts and sneakers. One chance is all a restaurant gets to make a good impression. Lincoln House missed the mark completely. We will not be returning.

We had to track down the waitresses multiple times. It's like they have NO ability to anticipate the needs of their customers. "They ordered, pizza, maybe I should bring some plates". Nope! "They'll probably want their sauce before the food item is ICE COLD". Nope! Anytime we went into the restaurant the girls were on their phones. There were five tables in the restaurant tonight so there really was no excuse. I think this will be the last time I ever go to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the reputation of the old Congregation Ale House kept me coming back even when time after time, the service was abysmal, however, now that Congregation's former glory is thoroughly tarnished I can honestly say that I will not be coming back and I encourage everyone else to do the same. I was invited out by one of their headline DJs--someone I've known for many years--so I was genuinely excited and looking forward to spending the evening at Bravado. Unfortunately, my visit ended much sooner than expected due to a situation involving a member of the staff. While I was disappointed by the outcome and didn't particularly like how the situation affected my night, I do want to give credit where it's due. The staff members who spoke with me were respectful, professional, and handled what was clearly an uncomfortable situation in a calm manner. My biggest frustration wasn't with the conversation itself, but with the fact that the situation could have been avoided entirely with better communication beforehand. Having your evening cut short shortly after arriving is never a great feeling, especially when you were invited there and looking forward to supporting friends and enjoying the event. That being said, from what I experienced, Bravado has a great atmosphere, strong energy, and clearly puts effort into creating a quality environment for its guests. The venue looked fantastic, the crowd was lively, and there was a lot of positive energy in the room. Even though I didn't agree with how things unfolded and left disappointed, I can separate my personal experience from the venue itself. The staff remained professional, and I have respect for the work the team is doing to build a successful nightlife destination. I would absolutely be open to returning in the future, and I believe that with a little more communication upfront, situations like mine can easily be avoided. Bravo to Bravados! This is truly a hidden gem and a great newer addition to Downtown Covina. We visited Bravados tonight and honestly didn't know what to expect, but we're so glad we gave it a try. From the moment we walked through the velvet black curtains into the classy speakeasy-style atmosphere with dim lighting, it felt like stepping into a completely different experience. The space is cozy, elegant, and has that upscale feel without being over the top. What made it even more impressive is that the restaurant is still fairly new, only about 6 months old, and they're already creating an experience that feels polished and well established. The food was amazing and truly gave the feeling of dining at a high-end, 5-star restaurant. This is the kind of spot Covina needed. A special shoutout to our server, Juan, who was attentive, welcoming, and provided excellent service throughout the evening. The level of service made the experience feel worth every penny. I ordered the Carbonara Classico with shrimp and I'm so glad I did, it was absolutely delicious, rich, and beautifully prepared. Every bite felt thoughtful and elevated while still being comforting. We started with the frites, and they were absolutely fantastic--honestly better than the originals we had in Belgium. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and the ideal way to kick off the meal. The rest of the food was just as impressive, clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. What really set the experience apart was the service. Our hostess, Gwenn, was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful in getting us settled and making recommendations. At the bar, Robert and Sky were hands down spot on. They were attentive without hovering, quick with drinks, and kept the whole place running smoothly while still making time to engage with guests. Saying "we have to close this place before it opens" is completely uncalled for and reflects poorly on your class and character. My husband called 3-4 weeks in advance and spoke with Carlos to make a reservation. Following that call, we attempted several times to confirm the reservation by phone and left multiple messages, none of which were returned. Ultimately, my husband went to the location in person and was informed that our reservation was not on record. Reliable communication is essential in the hospitality industry, and this lack of follow-up caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. People being turned away claim it's because of hats, sunglasses, lack of business casual attire, etc. However, some are also bringing up race. Another 15 minutes passed, and I had still not received my food. I flagged him down again, and he asked, "What did you order?" I reminded him that I had ordered from the other employee. I waited another 10 minutes with no food. At that point, it had been almost an hour since I ordered, so I finally got the attention of the employee who originally took my order. He simply said, "OK, OK." As I write this review, it's 4:02 PM, and I still have not received my food. I understand places get busy, but the lack of communication, follow-up, and even a simple apology made this a very frustrating experience. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. It's clear they take pride in providing excellent service, and it made the entire experience that much better. If you're looking for a place with delicious food, great drinks, and an outstanding team behind the bar, Temple Bar is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended--I can't wait to come back!

Parking was easy enough with plenty of spaces out front, which is always a great start. Walking in, I immediately noticed the ambience was on the darker side. Part of the dining area was closed off for a large party watching a soccer game, so we were seated at a few high-top tables near the bar. Not a big deal, but wow... this place is dark. And the music? Let's just say if you're planning to catch up with friends, be prepared to leave with a slightly raspy voice because you'll be doing a lot of repeating yourself. Now for the fun part... the margarita flight. It was my first visit, and honestly, it felt like it may have also been our waitress's first day. She was very sweet and checked on us often, which I appreciated, but when I asked about the margarita flight, things got interesting. The flight that arrived looked nothing like the photos I'd seen. Instead of the three cute margarita glasses pictured online, ours came as four small colorful shots--yellow, green, red, and orange. Naturally, I asked what flavors they were. Her response? "I have no idea." I even showed her the photo from Yelp, and she said she'd never seen it before. At that point, my friends and I just started making up our own flavors. As for the food, we took advantage of the 2 for $22 lunch special and ordered: * 6 Chicken Taquitos * 3 Steak Tacos * Steak Nachos * 6 Lemon Pepper Wings Honestly, everything was pretty decent! Then again, food always tastes a little better when you're starving after work. The asada tacos were flavorful, the wings hit the spot, and the nachos disappeared pretty quickly from the table. Now for the moment that truly left us scratching our heads... We ordered additional food and packed quite a bit to go. Since my friend's taquitos came with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole, we naturally asked if there were lids so we could take them home without turning the car into a dipping sauce disaster. Her response? "I'm sorry, we don't carry lids." Confused, I asked, "So what happens when people eat here and want to take leftovers home?" And without missing a beat she replied: "People that eat here don't usually take things home." Wait... WHAT?! I've eaten at a lot of restaurants over the years, and I can honestly say I've never received that response before. No lids? For anything? It was one of those moments where my friends and I just looked at each other wondering if we heard correctly. To be fair, I don't know if she was new, nervous, or just having an off day, but that interaction alone pretty much sealed the deal for me. Looking back it's actually pretty funny, but it's definitely not the kind of service experience that would make me want to come back for a second visit. Overall, I'd give this place 3 out of 5 stars. The food was decent, the waitress was sort of kind yet dismissive, but between the extremely loud music, dim lighting, mystery margaritas, and the unforgettable "people don't usually take food home" comment, this ended up being more memorable for the wrong reasons than the right ones. So for her responses & personality alone, bumped it down to 2/5 stars for me. Worth trying once? Sure. Would I come back? NOPE! Happy eats!

I got to try the Dirty Thai Tea and my bf got his own beer. Trying the Dirty Thai Tea, it was extremely sweet. Too sweet to the point I was forcing myself to drink it, but my bf asked the bartender to make it less sweet, which tasted much better! They added oat milk to it. In the end, it just. tasted like a normal thai tea and not so much like an alcoholic drink anymore haha. I was totally fine with it anyways. Beers are solid as well. Plenty of seating area if you're not sitting at the bar. The bar is a bit tight. Luckily you can bring your drink around. Parking can be a bit difficult if the plaza is too busy, but not impossible.

Charging $15.95 for a BLTA and then charging extra for tomato is already ridiculous -- only for them to come back another 10 minutes later to tell me they were out of multiple items anyway. Once the food finally arrived, the server never checked on us again. We had to flag someone down ourselves just to get the check. I didn't catch her name because she barely introduced herself in the first place. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place on a Saturday afternoon. The service was awful, the staff seemed uninterested, and the food definitely wasn't worth the price.
