I never really thought of myself as a "hairstylist snob," but I'm finding that I am. I have very long natural brown hair, and only get a haircut 2-3 times a year, so I want to go to the best of the best. After my amazing hair stylist of 9+ years moved to central Oregon, I was on the hunt for something new. Bravata had decent reviews, so I thought I'd give them a try. Knowing how particular I am, I went with Paloma (the owner), thinking it would be a safe bet. We started a few minutes late, which wasn't that big of a deal. Paloma was a very sweet lady, super friendly, and the head massage during the washing was phenomenal (hence the 2 stars). However, the cut was less than ideal.... I explained exactly what I wanted. Trim the bottom (blunt cut), feather the layers to make them blend. She did the bottom perfectly, only took off about an inch, but then the layers... oh my. She brought my layers up at least 2 inches higher than they previously were. It made my hair look stringy and thin. Next, the framing. I explained how I've never really had any framing that I liked around my face. How I wanted it to look like more piecey framing and always ends up being a straight longgg transition from the highest point to the bottom. She said she understood, but then cut it as the latter! I hate it. After she was done with the cut, she straightened it and cleaned everything up. Then that was it! I was surprised... I've NEVER been to a salon where they don't offer to doll up your hair, give you some voluptuous curls and make you feel like a million bucks. Instead I felt terrible, my hair looked long and stringy and very thin. As I was wrapping up paying, a man walked in that Paloma recognized. She went over and chatted with him, and I never saw her again. She never thanked me for coming in, and I didn't get a chance to thank her either. She had just disappeared. Not the best way to treat a new client if you want them to come back.... Now I'm fairly confident that I could call, tell them I hate it, and they'd be willing to let me come in to fix it for free. But the only way to fix it would be to take more off...which I don't want. It's been a few weeks and the style is starting to grow on me... but in my opinion, you should love it from the get-go. read more

When it comes to my hair, I will only go to Bravata. Every experience I've had there in the past 2 years has been a great one! Sami did my hair a few weeks ago and she gave me the look I wanted exactly! Dana is also amazing! She has done my hair and my eyelashes. There was one time where I went to Dana because I wasn't happy with my hair after I went to a different Salon. I was having a hard time explaining what it was that I wanted because I didn't really know what I wanted. I just needed it to different than what it was. I realize I'm not the easiest of clients but she was so patient with me that she made sure I was comfortable and never once made me feel like I was just wasting her time. She even came in early just because that was the only time that worked for me. I trusted her opinion and in the end, she made my hair look even better than I thought it would. All the stylists there that I have met are the sweetest and most professional around. This salon will bend over backwards to make sure that you are happy with the results! I recommend Bravata to ALL of my friends. They all do a wonderful job and I wouldn't let anyone else even go near my hair. read more

I've been going to Bravata (previously Celsius) for over six years now. The salon was recommended when I moved to WA and I wouldn't trade it for any other. It has great hours, very convenient to make appointment that accommodate my work hours. The location in Mill Creek is great, I can always do some shopping and grab something to eat in case I arrive too early or need to wait out Seattle traffic. Shirley has been my stylist since I moved here and she's a big part of why I come to Bravata every time I want something done to my hair. Hair appointments with her feel like you're just getting together with your best friend for some pampering. I don't usually walk in with an idea of what I want done to my hair, but Shirley gets it right with just a few questions. I normally go for haircuts, but she just started coloring my hair and I've been getting so many compliments. It's not often that one finds a hair salon and hair dresser that you just love right off the bat. I saw that they're expanding their services, so I'm curious to see what that's about. My 14 year old daughter wanted to try an adventurous ombre hair color for the first time. She carefully researched local salons and chose Bravata for their good reviews, and set up a consultation. Isabel was confident that she could do the bleach/pale pink ombre my daughter wanted, so she made the appointment and her big sister took her, since I was out of town for the weekend. The hairstyle was gorgeous (see first photo) but was not what she had first envisioned-- darker and the ends were not as pale as she wanted. She was too shy to say so. When, a couple of days later, she was sad about it not being what she wanted, I called Bravata. Isabel made another appointment for us immediately, and cheerfully redid the whole thing for no charge. It's just right now, and my daughter is thrilled! That's good service-- it was beautifully done, but because it wasn't exactly what she had in mind, Isabel redid it for free. Thank you so much! Wow I was really impressed with the attention to detail. I am in Seattle once again and my friend took me to her place to get my hair done as a treat. When we walked in I was really shocked at how nice this place was. It has really high ceilings and its bright and open. Apparently they are making some changes and adding some really cool features to the salon. There was a lot going on in the salon due to the storm and all the clients running late (including us eeeek!) The owner was helping everyone with their guests including doing her own and dealing with a serious diva.(This girl belonged on one of those real housewives shows.) I just thought it was really cool that the owner was sweeping for the other stylist and helping them set up for their next person. I wish my boss even gave a you know what. My style turned out great and the hair washing was so relaxing. I will be back when I am in town again. read more

I've been seeing Shirley for the past 8 years or so and can't imagine going anywhere else or to anyone else. She definitely knows her way around coarse, unruly hair. Each time I come in, it's like I saw her the day before. She knows exactly what will look best for my face shape and hair type, and I always leave the salon feeling refreshed and fantastic, not only because of my haircut, but also because of the clean, high-class environment and friendly conversation. I've been having Shirley do some fun, funky block color the past year or so, and am always impressed at how it turns out each time I get it retouched. The woman is a hair genius and great company. Isabel is AMAZING I have been recommending her to people that are looking for someone that understand's them and listens to them someone that can help with their hair questions / nightmares! And when someone needs advice on what will look great on them I always give them Isabel's info. It is super nice to hear back from people on how happy they are and that Isabel @ Bravata was the best recommendation some times it is a drive for these people since they live in Monroe but they tell me that it is worth the drive to get the best service and to see her charming smile I will continue to recommend her. I've been going to Bravata (previously Celsius) for about 9 years now, and have never come across a better salon. Everyone is friendly, it's a professional environment, all around 5 stars. I've always seen Shirley, and never once left disappointed. She's energetic, kind, understanding, and she really listens to what you're interested in doing with your lovely locks, as well as keeping in mind the health of your hair (plus she gives the absolute best scalp/temple massages i've ever experienced. I love this salon! The stylists really know their craft, they are very friendly and a very professional team. I've had cut, color, keratin and extensions in the 5 years I've been going here.. and I always leave feeling and looking fantastic! Some of the new services I can't wait to try are the lash extensions and the halo hair extensions. It's always a very exciting atmosphere, and with the couple of changes they've recently made.. it's made it that much better. Both my wife and I have been going to Celsius since it was at the Northgate location. We have watched the company explode with success. Since moving to Mill Creek, the clientele base was more discerning. Recently Paloma took ownership, and many changes came about the new salon, including lashes, and what seems more focus on weddings, while keeping up with the core of the business. My stylist, Shirley, is amazing! I've been going to her for almost 10 years and changed my color/cut numerous times (even going from platinum blonde to brunette). Shirley's a master at mixing the right color combo and technique and I always leave happy, which is why I keep coming back and making the trek up from Seattle. She listens to my ideas and offers suggestions and advice to get just the right result. The salon is chic and the stylists and staff are always friendly and helpful. I have to say this salon is absolutely fabulous. I have never had a hair stylist that I loved more than Kerri. My hair has always been difficult to work with but Kerri is a wonderful hair stylist that know exactly what she is doing. My blonde hair has never looked better since I have been going to her, it never fades or looks brassy. Not only is it about how amazing my hair looks but how professional she is, she is an absolute doll you can't help but love her. I love this place! Its very professional and everyone is so nice. Comparable prices to any other salon but you get waayy better service and the outcome is so much better! Paloma is a color master! I first visited Bravta last fall with bright blue hair with hopes to go more of a pink/red tone. Insane right!? Amazingly enough Paloma did a fantastic job on my hair and transformed it into a beautiful dark to light pink ombre. I visit her regularly for color updates and root touch ups and she even threw in a great deal the one time I was only like 98% pleased. Love this Salon! Great atmosphere and the staff is supper friendly and always welcoming. I usually have morning appointments where I am tired and they serve me coffee. Also while my hair was processing my stylist went across the street and got me a smoothie because I was hungry. I always get a ton of compliments on my perfect blonde hair. I have been going here for four years seeing Paloma and other stylists. All are excellent and I have never been disappointed in the slightest. Wonderful products used and they are top notch stylists. Haircuts hold their shape a very long time and my hair grows fast. Color is excellent every time. You won't be disappointed. I just had a great experience at Bravata! I have been searching forever for a salon that is good with men's cuts. I like a super clean barbershop fade. I like the top scissor cut. My cuts are always pretty fashion forward and trendy. It's been really hard to find a place that is good with both and has a high quality luxury feel. They nailed it though! $15 off your first cut too. I'm very pleased and will definitely be back. read more
