The store has restructured their store to accommodate social distancing protocols: One guest at a time in the store at a time. That means whether you are placing an order then stepping out to wait for order or when picking up your phone ahead order. Their is an entrance door and a separate door to exit, please wait until the person inside exits the store. All this information is placed on their door to the entrance but guests were trying to cut the line when I went to pick up my order, to get their order before reading the instructions and notice of new protocols. One line for placing or picking up. Best to order first so you won't have to wait outside until your order is finished.*** The sandwiches here are amazing, always have been. The portions are big and filling. The employees are all friendly and welcoming. Their potato salad is the best! The store from the outside doesn't look like much but it's a solid go to for your sandwich needs. They offer breakfast and pastries too, as well as salads and soups. I tried the chicken lemon rice soup here after a friend recommended it to me while I was sick. It was DELICIOUS! Creamy & full of chicken. I have the chicken lemon rice soup often (even when I'm not sick). The soups very by the day. So far I've tried the lentil, potato broccoli and of course chicken lemon rice - I love them all. They even give you a nice serving of bread with your soup. They also serve sandwiches but I have yet to try them. I usually call in my order. Service is quick and friendly. If you are looking for a fat meaty tasty super big and delicious hot pastrami sandwich anywhere in San Diego...you cannot leave out this place. You have to try it because it may be that this is the one you say, "Had I known about this place before...OMG!" I also am in heaven and am known to just stop by to pick up a big Strawberry-Banana smoothie. You know...like some people stop at the bar for a drink...well, I go for the smoothie here. YUMMY! The locals I saw here the first time I came were neighbors. What do ya know? I didn't even realize what a following the place has. But I sure understand why.
