Green salad - extra feta, sliced olives
    Shannon D.

Bravo is THE BEST! Not only is their menu incredible, their pizza amazing, and their own bottled sodas delicious, but they are quick, make food to your specifications (like my salad with extra feta and sliced olives, but they even have trivia questions to ponder when you pick your food up! Fair prices and great value. Try the bacon pizza, too!

    Large cheese pizza
    Vanessa E.

Staff was polite, Pizza was relatively average, but one of the only pizza places on the side of Boxborough towards Harvard. I ordered a large cheese pizza. I did see a customer inside with a sub that looked really good. My review is now updated with the addition of a small vegetarian pizza. The pizza was very good, the wait was a little long but the patriots were on. Decent, but I like the Littleton sub shoppes' vegetarian pizza better.

Friendly staff and excellent subs and pizza - a longtime customer. It is not an eat-in place, just takeout or delivery.

If you're looking for upscale boutique sandwiches, curated charcuterie boards, and a cozy atmosphere with owners who truly care, this is the place to go. My family and I discovered them a couple of years ago, tucked under the West Acton Village building, and they've quickly become our favorite sandwich shop and gourmet cheese market. My son, who is in college always makes a point to get their sandwiches when he is back home. Their sandwiches are upscale, boutique creations. Our family favorite is the Ploughman's Lunch: rosemary ham, mango chutney, pickled red onion, cheddar, and lemony arugula on a Portuguese roll. It's the perfect balance of savory, tangy, and fresh. Our second go-to is the Pig and Fig, which is just as delicious. They also have gluten free bread available. In addition to the sandwiches, their cozy shop sells cheeses (if you love blue cheese you have got to try Rogue River!!), charcuterie, natural wines, craft beer, and carefully curated accompaniments like jams and chutneys. I've gifted their chic napkins and artisanal jams many times, and they always make the perfect host or hostess gift. They even carry unique finds like Bret's goat cheese and chili pepper potato chips, which I can't find anywhere else! On Fridays, they even have free wine tastings, which are such a fun way to discover new bottles. The owners Dawn and Tamara (aka Eve and Murray) are incredibly friendly and passionate about what they do. You can tell they put thought into every cheese, wine, and gift item they bring into the shop!

Was looking for a snack so decided to split a sandwich. Inside was cute little market with lots of items to build a charcuterie board. No seating indoors but some tables and chairs outside. My friend and I got the South-West Acton. It took about 10-15 minutes to be made. I loved everything about this sandwich! It was delicious! The bread was crispy. The turkey was delicious along with the cheese and mayo. So yummy! I do think this sandwich was a little small for $16. But overall so good and the other sandwiches sounded good too.

The people working there were really nice and let us eat there until 8. It is cute inside, with limited seating. They also have picnic tables outside. Their chicken sandwiches are good, but I always get a bowl with either chicken thighs or steak. They have excellent sauces and the food here is really good, albeit a bit on the saltier side. The clam chowder is nice and hearty. I also really like their drinks, including the strawberry rhubarb one and the lemonade.

For my main, I ordered the Khao Gai Yang, a dish with chicken, rice, veggies, and a sauce on the side. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. My only complaint is that the sauce was quite fishy, which isn't to my personal taste. I would come back but try something else next time.

We got the veggie risotto and the summer grain bowl. We did not get to try any drinks. I wish the risotto was better and it was actually risotto. It was more like cheesy rice with a few starchy vegetables in it. The summer grain bowl was heavy on the arugula and quinoa, and somewhat stingy on the additives (grapes, strawberries and almonds). The staff had a hard time figuring how to take my payment, though were very nice and apologetic about it. No napkins or eating utensils were included in our take out bag. Perhaps if we came in the late afternoon, we would have had a better experience. I really wanted to like them. We would be open to another opportunity to try it.

I was in Boxborough for a comic con, and didn't want to go to the hotel pub yet again for dinner,…read moreso I googled some nearby restaurants, and Out of the Woods looked very intriguing: decent beer list and interesting food menu. So I popped in my van and drove one exit on 495 and shortly arrived at Out of the Woods. It was a Saturday night, and I was by myself, so I had hoped to find room to sit at the bar, but surprise! no bar existed. But the host was very accommodating and said he could seat me at a high-top for 2. Did I mention it was a Saturday night and the dining room was pretty packed? The host could have given me 'no rez?' attitude, and saved the 2-top for a couple. Did I mention I was dressed down from slinging comic books all day? Still no attitude. The service was great, very quick to fill water and clear plates, the waitress was knowledgeable, quick, and easygoing. Very much fine dining service. I ordered a beer, a nice wit from Seven Saws, they had an excellent selection of beers, not just 12 variations of an IPA. It arrived quickly and nicely chilled. I like my beers really cold, because I am a barbarian. The whole menu looked fantastic, but two things leaped out at me: the venison, and the duck-fat biscuits with honey butter and fig jam. My dilemma? Venison was a small plate and I was really hungry, I was looking for an entree. The lamb and the duck treatment looked really good but I can get lamb or duck pretty easily, venison does not show up on many menus. So I figured I would cobble together an entree with biscuits, venison, and maybe a salad if I was still hungry. Starch, protein, veggie, check all the boxes. Biscuits were amazing, melt in your mouth flakiness.....mmm....duck fat biscuits....and then the venison...cooked absolutely perfectly with a cherry reduction and fried parsnip curls. All the tastes complimented each other, and the venison could not have been better. And I was still hungry, so I ordered the Asparagus & Snap Pea Salad. This was a little disappointing, but emphasis on the 'little', the tastes and textures were the same through-out, it was very fresh, and carefully prepared, but it just didn't work for me. Literally every bite tasted the same. That bite was tasty but it was a bit of a chore to work thru it. But that was the only thing I 'could' complain about and it is more a matter of my taste than any failing on the part of the restaurant. I look forward to going again when I am in the area.
