My three friends and I had dinner at Bravo Restaurant on a Monday, 2/19/24, at 5:30p. We started off with a basket of garlic bread that was nice and warm. My friend wanted the garlic rolls plain without butter and we got a basket of that also. We also asked for a side of butter for extra richness. Throughout our dinner we were always given a fresh basket that was appreciated. We ordered the Calamari, Shrimp, and Scallop Appetizer that came with shrimp cocktail sauce and tartar sauce. The appetizers were nicely fried and paired well with the dipping sauces. We also ordered the Chopped Salad and Caesar Salad to share amongst us. We enjoyed the blue cheese, salami, and chicken and red wine vinaigrette with the chopped salad. The Caesar salad adorned with Parmesan cheese also was a tasty bite. We all ordered our entrees. I selected the Jambalaya that came with chicken, shrimp, and sausage. My Jambalaya had a spiciness that was incorporated into the risotto that I enjoyed. I was surprised by the substantial amount of protein included in the risotto. It was a lot that I took the rest home for later. One of my friends enjoyed her Eggplant and Chicken Parmesan with Marinara sauce and pasta. My other friend loved her Eggplant Parmesan and spaghetti and Marina sauce. My other friend enjoyed her Shrimp Alfredo and pasta with a lot of sauce. Lastly, we ordered dessert. One friend ordered the Tiramisu and said it was light with a coffee and liqueur flavor that she enjoyed. The rest of us opted for the Spumoni sundae. The whipped cream added to the flavors of the Spumoni ice cream. All in all it was a great way to end our meal. Thus, we had great service and a delightful dinner. We will return to Bravo for another great Italian meal in the future. read more

Had a large group of 18 on a Saturday night. The wait was less than 30 minutes. We had to sit in two different tables due to the number of guests we had. Unfortunately they couldn't separate the checks they said so good thing for Venmo. The service was quick and everyone got their correct order. The garlic knots were a bit overwhelming for me (too garlicky). My spaghetti and meatballs with Italian sausage had green bell peppers. That was different. Tasted good though and the servings are huge. Had to take home leftovers. Last part was a trip to the rest room. It was dirty and the toilets were black porcelain. Looked so scary! So glad I waited until after my meal to use the restroom. Needs a major renovation and please get white porcelain toilets. read more

I've loved Bravo's garlic balls since the early 2000's. They are perfectly garlicky and warm. I love them so so so much, even though they make me stink afterwards. They are now like garlic buns but the taste is still amazing. I will always come back to Bravo for the garlic ball buns. BUT the food you order and pay for generally isn't very good. I haven't found a dish there that I really enjoy. They are mostly just meh. I do really like the Bravo club they have at lunch time though. This visit, I should have ordered the club. But I wanted to try something different, so I got the linguini with clams lunch special. I didn't expect it to have so much liquid in it? Usually it's an oil sauce and no so soupy. The taste was kind of bland. One of the 4 clam shells didn't have a clam. I had a bite that was sandy. The pasta was overcooked. But I guess it was edible after I sprinkled tons of Parm and salt in. I did have my garlic buns to save my meal!! I had a bite of my husband's chicken Parmesan. Much better tasting. Maybe I'll get that next time. Or I'll just stick to my club. Service was great though! Nothing has really changed here except the prices and menu items. The service is always spot on, and the servers are quick to get your drinks, yummy garlic bread knots, and your order. Let me make one suggestion, the table next to me asked me about this and did the same thing...ask for a side of ranch dressing to dip the bread in and powder on some Parmesan cheese on that bread. You'll thank me later at this deliciousness. The bread is complimentary and won't stop coming until you ask them to stop, but be careful not to fill up on it before your meal gets there. The place is so nostalgic to me, and nothing has changed since coming here in the late 90s early 2000s. The seating is comfortable and you don't feel like a sardine in a can eating here. As for the food, it comes out really fast here...fantastic for the hungry folks. We were looking for pizza and or the rotisserie chicken for my kids to eat, but post pandemic, they didn't make the cut for the new menu. I ordered the chicken cannelloni, which is chicken, spinach, Italian sausage and ricotta in a pasta crepe on top of marinara with melted moz on top. It tastes just as great, but I remember when this dish was $13 and now it's at $20! My husband got the Italian sausage sandwich that comes with your choice of fries, Mac salad, or the days pasta. This sandwich was $10.49 before but is now $14.99. It's got sautéed onions and bell peppers, mozzarella, and marinara in it. The bread is really good and holds up to all the moisture of what's in it. All in all good food and fantastic service, but we won't be eating here as much as before because the prices have just gotten a little much for me which is why I gave it only 3 stars...the inflation of prices up and portions smaller...but I tell you those garlic knots are what honestly keep bringing us back lol read more

I haven't been back to Bravo in at least 5 years - but the food still tastes the same! Service was better than most, and they refilled our bread three times! The garlic rolls here are too good, probably the best complimentary bread on the island. For my main, I got the sausage and eggplant fusili pasta and it was super flavorful. Depending on the dish you get, the portion will vary...my plate was a huge mound of food!!! However, my bf got the alfredo and his plate wasn't as big. I loved my dish and had leftovers, but the only thing I would note was that the pasta was overcooked. Nevertheless, would recommend and will be back. read more

Ate here because the place I was intending to eat at was closed and reccomended this place instead. It was such a pleasant turn of events. The staff are all so friendly and attentive without being in your face. The ambience is lovely, its very spacious (especially for Oahu) but still feels cozy like a retro diner. Smells like fresh pasta when you walk in because the pasta is in fact fresh and made in house. We ordered the spinach ravioli and it was divine. Had to order dessert too -- we got icecream and it was so cute and delicious. Definitely coming back here with my friends, I feel like theres something on the menu for everyone and its quiet enough that you can hold a comfortable conversation but not so quiet that you feel listened to by your fellow diners. 5/5! read more

It's been about a year. My brother loves coming here since they open on weekdays @ 11:00 am. TGIF was the best with no crowd or heavy noise. Forget about the weekend, there's a line outside the door. Side garden salads was vinaigrette with carbonzo beans which was better than croutons...saltiness of black olives, different texture, different flavors, love it! Garlic rolls always buttery with awesome garlic flavor (renown for). Brother: Chicken Parmesan on top of bed of pasta with tomato bolognese sauce with mozzarella cheese? He dugged in before I could take a picture! Me: Seafood, light tomato sauce over pasta which was excellent and flavorful. Seafood was not over cooked...perfectly done. I systematically ate shrimp, mini squids, scallops, and clams separately to savor the flavors. We did add more shaved Parmesan cheese as requested than the powered form in a little bottle on the table. All in all, the server was top notched service. Has anyone else noticed how much this restaurant has declined? We didn't want to believe it the past few times we came until today. We had to swat at gnats the entire time we were there. It was very unappealing. It made the food taste even more unappetizing. Homemade meatballs were just blah and my son's mac and cheese was nothing extraordinary. We did inform our waitress of the gnats and she did offer to move us but we were just ready to leave there anyway. When the manager was informed, she apologized and that yeah that have been having a problem. My concern is what kind of bug issue could be happening in the kitchen if it's like that in the dining room. read more

This is my 5th visit here. love the chicken Parmigiana - shrimp fettuccini Alfredo Loved when they use to serve you loads and loads of garlic knots. Now it's garlic buns. Little crispy, yet soft and buttery with just a hint of garlic. I love the loads of garlic that they use to have on the garlic knots now garlic buns less garlic sadddddly I want the flavor that I remember savoring. Please ask your patrons if extra garlic or regular. You'll get extra garlic more than regular. The spinach salad was a first for me. Won't be the last. It was flavorful - with its vinegaret bacon bits, fresh mushrooms , boiled eggs all tossed into fresh spinach. Mmmmm yes please. Having an early dinner means food comes out fast. Just started to eat my salad maybe 1 min into it and boom shes standing there with my alfredo, so just heads up on he quickness. Bravo's is great for family gatherings. We went at lunch on a weekend and were seated immediately for a party of 7. The garlic knots are delicious. I had to stop myself from eating too many. The fettuccine alfredo with chicken was very rich and good. Big portion sizes and worth it. Tiramisu was good as well. A very homey style restaurant and will definitely go back if we are ever feeling like pasta again. I wouldn't go here if you're craving true Italian but sometimes you just want some regular old pasta and it's better than that one chain with breadsticks for sure. Recommend! read more

This place is located directly underneath Anna Millers. It's an Italian restaurant so it was a nice change in food. We were immediately attended to when we sat down and had no wait time for our drinks and the starter garlic bread was soooo good! I ordered the minestrone soup and my husband ordered the Chinese chicken salad. The mini strobe didn't have any tomatoes in it which I would have liked but otherwise it was pretty good! Today I decided to try Bravo at pearlridge as the rail opening means it's a bit easier for me to explore out west. The location is focused on pasta, but unlike others that make it a super fine dining experience (with prices that match) this location has a diner aesthetic to it that is oddly complementary and matches a location that has kept its dinner prices around $20 rather than pushing into the $30s like other italian places The bread rolls were free with sit down and are brushed with a butter and herb mix. The rolls are fluffy but have an audible crunch in the bite that is lovely. My calamari steak came out absurdly fast. I was still only nibbling at my first bread roll. Service is a definite 5 star on speed alone, but they also refilled my water quickly too. The lemon caper sauce is very strongly lemon and perfect for dipping. This makes the plain inside of the rolls a feature as it means the sauce soaks in very well. Working on the bread and the butter sauce gave a little time to let my plate cool so I could cut the steak easier. I can't call the calamari anything special, but at the same token, I also can't say it would be beat out by any other place that does it. The clamari is soft and not too chewy, and the breading outside is crisp. If you've ever had a calamari steak and liked it, you'll like it here too. It's comforting rather than trying to stand out, which fits the vibe of the place super well. The pasta, which is advertised as home made, is also similarly homey feeling. Not something you necessarily write home about, but definitely the kind of thing you drag a friend to get because you're sure it can't go wrong. Bravo certainly has a repeat customer in me for its more affordable italian, its great location as the closest restaurant to the rail station, just across the street, and its amazing speed and vibe. I'd give it 6 starts if yelped allowed. *as a note, I ordered the clamari steak in lemon caper sauce, thinking it came with pasta, and it as a pleasant surprise for those with food accommodation issues, offers you a choice of sides, pasta included. The pasta generally comes with the marinara, but you are allowed to swap sauces. Which again is an amazing perk of eating here. read more

Garlic knots are still good but I ordered the fettuccini with chicken and mushrooms in garlic cream sauce and the fettuccini pasta was completely overcooked. Tastes like glue. Of course this is not fine dining, but Bravos deserves 5 stars for their service, food, and comforting ambience. Our server Laura provided probably the best service I've experienced. Never had to look for her and our drinks were filled before we even knew they were empty. Extra bread was brought out fast, and offered everything we needed without even asking. All their servers looked like they were on top of it in general. The food was awesome! The sauce on all the pastas tasted fresh and homemade. I ordered the fettuccine with sliced chicken and mushrooms. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the dish had so much flavor! They also provide freshly grated Parmesan cheese, still moist but slightly dry - the best! The mushrooms were fresh and still firm, cooked perfectly. Not to mention out food came out lightning fast. I'm not a fan of the garlic balls (I just done care for overly garlic food in general) but everyone else love it. They are not really balls anymore but little buns. And the croutons that they use is very crunchy not too hard it's light and I like it! Seafood harvest was my boyfriends order. He always orders that and he always loves it. He ate have and saved the rest for the next day and he said it tasted even better everytime he does it! I got the seafood fettuccine so the difference between the harvest and the fettuccine is first off, the pasta noodles. The harvest uses linguine, the second is the harvest has scallops in it. Overall the sauce is pretty much the same. The seafood fettuccine was delicious! Garlicky, the perfect light creamy tomato sauce. Just enough seafood. Death by chocolate was a chocolate cake with chocolate icecream. Usually I wouldn't want a chocolate overload. But boy it hit the spot for me! I had a major sweet tooth and it definitely was just perfect! Bravos did not disappoint for our take out! Will do a review when we dine in! read more

Aw man ok so Bravos isn't known to be fine dining food, but it hits the spot if you just flew in and need a quick bite! Is the service good here? The girl we had was awesome and checked on us a lot! The food? The garlic knot bread with extra garlic is always the best part about coming here. We always get a few baskets! Chicken Alfredo pasta, soggy pasta but hey the chicken and broccoli was good with the sauce. My mom finished her Caesar, my dad ate his spaghetti meat sauce, tortellini was half eaten. Also, I ordered an apple juice and it was the largest apple juice ever. No wonder they wrote no refills on the menu lol, no diabetes is more like it. Thank you! There are a number of specials (half servings with salad) that they offer during lunch or you can choose from the menu. I ordered the half order of lasagna with Caesar salad. When to Bravo for lunch and it was very busy, but service is very fast and staff are very helpful and friendly. They have a wide variety of food choices from sandwiches to pizza besides all the pasta type dishes. I had the Scallops and Shrimp with linguine in a pesto sauce which was very good and the portion was pretty large which I couldn't finish the whole thing. And the fresh fruit ice was very tasty and refreshing the reddish color was a strawberry flavor and the white was like a lime flavor so it went well with a sweet and tart blend. The sandwich was ok a little on the oily side and the cheese cake was good they also offered 3 different types of flavors but my wife took it plain. Restroom were clean and they have a separate room for parties or groups. Parking is pretty large which is shared by other groups businesses. read more

It is my first time trying out Bravo Restaurant. It is located in Aiea next to Anna Millers so I haven't been there much. My relatives invited my family to try this place out for dinner. The restaurant was spacious and there were a lot of seatings available for walk-in. They brought out a basket of complementary garlic knots which were buttery, garlicky, and delicious. These were also unlimited so they brought out another basket once we finished. My relatives ordered appetizers for us to share and informed us that their pasta entrees were large enough for two people to share. They ordered the Deep Fried Mozzarella, Crispy Calamari, and Shrimp Arabiatta. We got the Pesto Linguine with Shrimp and Scallops. Deep fried mozzarella: There were four pieces under a blanket of marinara sauce. The mozzarella were good but the size made it very heavy to finish. It was crispy at the beginning, but later on became soggy since it was soaking in marinara sauce. The marinara sauce was sweet and good. Crispy calamari: The calamari was alright. There wasn't much flavor or seasonings to the calamari itself. The dipping sauce helped add the flavors. There were marinara and tartar sauce on the side. Shrimp Arabiatta: This was a penne pasta in a spicy tomato sauce. The tomato sauce had a spicy kick but not too hot that we can't handle. It was not made and the tomato sauce was pretty good. I prefer cream sauce pasta over tomato but this was good. Pesto linguine with shrimp and scallops: This pasta dish together was good but the pesto flavor was quite subtle. The cream sauce over power the flavor and the color of the pesto. This dish also included mushroom and parmesan cheese along with shrimp and scallops. Overall, a very filling dinner. One pasta dish is indeed good for two people to share unless you are really hungry. We also brought home the pasta as leftovers and a basket of garlic knots too. The garlic knots goes great with the pasta sauces. The service was friendly and very quick. I would recommend this place for a quick and affordable dinner. read more

I honestly thought it was a joke when my friends recommended Bravos for dinner one Friday night. I've never even heard of this place.... But I didn't grow up in Pearl city/aiea. My friends tried to explain to me that bravos is a family favorite for them. It's a place to go that's not Asian but like kinda nice, but not too nice lol. I almost never eat Italian food, so I was intrigued. I actually thought the pasta was pretty good in comparison to like buca. But that's not saying much. I think it might be up there with assagios, but it's in a more casual setting. They offered some garlic bread knots which were delicious. It's hard not to fill up on garlic bread. I ordered the chicken picatta. It had a nice lemony light cream sauce with capers. I kind of wish there were more capers. The chicken was kind of a let down. My friends got an eggplant one and a pesto seafood one. Those looked good. I had a bit of the sausage and meatball one. The tomato sauce was very vibrant and fresh tasting. All the pasta dishes looked (and smelled) like they had a lot of fresh garlic. I would say that if you don't like garlic, this is probably not the place for you. We even got dessert here. The Italian sorbet ices were good. They have strawberry and lemon flavors. They were very refreshing. I wanted to try the tiramisu, but I guess the kitchen messed up and didn't defrost any for dinner service. Service was good otherwise. Plenty of parking, but the restaurant filled up quick.
