We have been here before and loved the food and the service, but have to say this will be our last time here! The people are nice but the way you stand in line to order is a bit confusing and causes lots of chaos in front of the register. They were not very crowded but it took forever to get our food. Four people that arrived after us were served before us and we had to remind the people at the counter that we were still waiting. Asked for hash browns on the side and not on the sandwich and they came on the sandwich. Not going to send it back as we have already waited forever for our food. Ordered Avocado toast l, should be easy but I am still the last person at our table waiting for food. Sorry but will never recommend. Update: they remade the breakfast sandwich, came back wrong again. They refunded the amount of the one sandwich and gave us a gift card for future visit. My recently recovering addict life-partner and I were on a little get-a-way to celebrate the evolution of our life so naturally we visitied California. Never did I ever expect to be so blown away by such a nice little resturant. From the wonderful waitress who greeted us with a warm smile to the owner himself who was very friendly, hands-on and attentive. I had the Bently Crispy Chicken sandwhich and still cant get over how fresh everything tasted(THE SLAW!), I have pretty high standards and this sandwhich surpassed them. We love the food at Braxtons. Dining in there's usually a wait but it's not that bad. My only complaint is ordering food to go from here. Multiple times 3x total they have forgotten my order of dog food. 3x I have called to let them know... 3x they say I will get a refund... 3x I never got a refund. Do not order from here. My boyfriend and I were in the area and decided to eat here for brunch. Right now they are serving customers for outdoor patio seating and takeout. You pick your seat and then order at the counter. Staff is friendly and checks in on you. My boyfriend got the uncaged omelette with his choice of toppings and light cheese. As for me, I got the breakfast burrito with choice of meat...except I don't eat meat lol. So no meat in the burrito for me. The servings are hefty and both of our meals were served with a lemony arugula salad. The burrito was filled with black beans, eggs, potatoes, and cheese. Very filling. But on my way out, as I stood line line for the bathroom and peeked in to the kitchen, all I could see was food servers with NO gloves going from plates, to bread, to bare hands into the salad and on and on.....Did I miss something? I have to start by saying this pains me to write this review. Their Instagram page looks amazing and I have been dying to go here for some time now. So today we made the drive to Camarillo and had lunch there. First impression was ok it dosnt look so great but I know the food looks amazing on social media. We sat outside under the tent. I could tell by the look on my husband's face he was wondering...Why did we come here. The menu's felt dirty, the table felt dirty. The chairs where the most uncomfortable ever. The waitress was nice and our food came really fast. My sandwich came on a plate with a pile greens, I didn't know if they where to put on the sandwich or what. Then I realized I think it was a salad, but there was no dressing and I wasn't offered any so I'm not sure. I think my sandwich would have been better had the chibatta been toasted or grilled, it was just doughy. My husband's sandwich just disintegrated after 3 bites. Fries where good. The katsup bottle was a disgrace. I had to go to the bathroom when we got there but in all honesty I was not looking forward to seeing what shape it was in. It wasn't horrid but it wasn't good either.....So sorry but this place needs a bit of TLC. I think there was a young gentleman inside that was maybe the owner, he was very nice. I had been wanting to try this place for some time. We finally made it in. I must say the food was uh-mazing. My husband had the huevos rancheros and I had the breakfast wrap. I don't understand how they have such high reviews. Who's posting these?? Are they fake? The food was absolutely mediocre and flavorless. Not to mention, cold and disrespectfully overpriced. You're to walk up to the register and order, then hopefully seat yourself if you can find seating. The waitress walking around never once acknowledged us or checked in on us and was 10x more preoccupied and angry about people leaving the door open. It was so obvious and uncomfortable how upset she was. The options on the menu are very limited, and the drinks cost up to $5-9. Lastly, the interior and exterior are very dirty . Highly discourage anyone from visiting this restaurant. Disappointing is an understatement. read more

I'm all for dog friendly locations so when I was looking for a breakfast spot for us when we woke up, I was excited to try this place out. Unfortunately, my dog wasn't with me and my boyfriend didn't want to bring his dog. Fortunately, there were a lot of cute dogs to drool over at Braxton's. Braxton's is a fairly new location. It's smaller than what I had anticipated but it definitely has a cozy atmosphere. It's a counter service restaurant but they will bring your meal to your table. I got the mini waffles with the mimosa (passion fruit and pomegranate) and my boyfriend got a power bowl (if that's what its called). Both we're tasty and the portion was decent but I don't have a huge appetite. I did see people ordering the lunch menu and I thought the portion was large. We were excited to try and make this place our new brunch fave but not after eating there. We had the avocado toast which was drenched in a processed thick balsamic vinegar and that's all I could taste. The bread was bland and egg overcooked so maybe that's why they add so much balsamic. We also tried the egg white wrap with chicken sausage but again no flavor. The items were just bland. I gotta give this place 5 stars. Extremely clean and well kept. From the owners/workers super nice and honest about the opinion about the food. If it's spicy they tell you it's spicy. Go once, see what the fuss is about and then move on. It's decently good but a bit spendy for what you get and nothing to right home about. We had the chicken and waffles for breakfast and it could be that we spend time in Georgia so a hard act to follow but the chicken just tasted like re-used oil and was burnt. The lemon pancakes were worth it and recommended but you only get a 3 stack and for the price it feels expensive. We also had watermelon juice. Good, fresh for sure, but it's $5 a glass - maybe worth it, but so the OJ is also $5 and after taking a group of 8 that $40 didn't feel worth it. The whole deal with this place is you can bring your dog. And so everyone does. Dogs are everywhere. It's a clever marketing play and it seems to be working but we have way better options when driving through Camarillo in particular The WayPoint Cafe for breakfast near the airport and Bianco Rosso for lunch or dinner on Arneil. Me and my girlfriends made a trip out to the outlets and decided to stop by Braxton's for Brunch and man were we stoked to find this little gem! It's counter service so you order at the front and find a table. For a counter service restaurant which usually you get your utensils/condiments etc one of the staff was so nice enough to bring us our utensils and extra syrup for my tres leches pancakes! Customer service on point! Fresh squeezed OJ was a winner and reminded me of when my grandma would make it at her house with her orange tree out back! Open every day of the year, which was perfect for New Year's Day breakfast! Customer service was very friendly and welcoming. Great options on the menu for breakfast or lunch. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the morning wrap. The burrito was good, but not my favorite breakfast burrito (we have had a lot of breakfast burritos so we are more picky with them!) It had black beans in it, which was good, but made it less of a breakfast flavored burrito and felt like it was more of a lunch item. The morning wrap was amazing and much healthier. It had chicken sausage, egg whites, tomatoes, spinach, feta cheese, and the tortilla was sun-dried tomato and basil. Both entrees came with a small side of arugula salad. I would definitely get the morning wrap again and add avocado to it. The food came out super hot and was freshly made! There is a yelp check-in deal for a free coffee, which we took advantage of. We came to eat here because it received good reviews. I ordered the chicken fried steak special. I didn't eat more than one bite of the fried steak, it was the worst CFS I've ever tasted. My husband ordered a chicken bowl to which he said was the driest chicken he's ever eaten. Our daughter ordered the tres leches pancakes and was happy. I had a bite and they were very good. We've been here a handful of times for breakfast and lunch, and have tried at least half of the menu between my husband and I, and the food is always delicious. The staff is so friendly, they actually stop to chit chat if they're not slammed. We love how dog-welcoming they are, they even have big water bowls outside and a small dog menu, which even our super picky, spoiled sheepdog devours. I ordered the Scorpion Breakfast Bowl and it was absolutely flavorless. I was shocked how bland it was with a name like "Scorpion". The potatoes were undercooked. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast burrito and his tortilla was so wet that he had to finish it using a fork and knife. It is absolutely overpriced for the quality and size of the food. $40 for the above food with two non alcoholic drinks. My experience from a service standpoint was appalling. We were sat in a parking lot with no shade and within 5 minutes the female server had asked us 3 times to order. The first time we ordered drinks, the second time we ordered dog water because we hadn't read through the menu. The third time we just picked the first thing we could think of feeling rushed. At the end of the meal, we sat there for almost 15 minutes waiting for someone to come back to our table. The server changed, without any notice, during our less than an hour experience. I had my dog with me and had asked for a dog water early on; which never came. When we asked for our check the second server who was a male held a phone sized-tablet up to me to add my tip while staring to see what I would put. I chose 18% and the option was labeled "Great service 18%" which literally made my heart sink. Normally I tip 20% standard and this was a poor experience for which I tipped lower. If it was "great" I would have tipped 25% but this was far from great and it made me sick to see that the servers would assume they are performing at a high standard.
