Our washing machine broke . Drum was frozen, bearing for it shot. Motor dead too. Wife is distressed. (I myself an enjoined from doing laundry by my long-suffering bride.) So, I go shopping. I have seen the ads for Bray & Scarff, and was checking them against the Big Box stores. A tad higher, but they said they'll match pricing. I call, get a very nice sales lady, Tiffany, just to get pricing, but she was so efficient, friendly, and quickly matched the Lowes pricing, that I started an order estimate (which she emailed me so I could see a clear bottom line cost). She had matched Lowes and Home Depot. Delivery and take away was the same, but then she told me their delivery people were in-house, not contractors. And she could get the ones I picked out delivered the next day as they had them in stock. So before I knew it, the order is placed and paid for. I had saved some time, and had to head out any way, so I stopped in and chatted with her. Excellent shpowroom. No fancy set-ups, but clean, well organized displays of appliances. Anyway, By later in the early evening, they had a delivery time of 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. This morning (delivery day is today, 6/16/2026), checking emails, at 11:04am, I got an email, said they'd be here in 7 minutes! The delivery men were here early! How often does THAT happen? Only 15 minutes, but still. Delivery was handled by 3 men, and working as a team, had it in and running in a half hour, no dents, scratches, perfectly balanced and placed, and they even test ran them. Excellent service start to finish. Yelp needs a way to give a PLUS to a review. These folks are well above a 5 Star company. read more

A Legacy Brand Losing Its Touch For nearly a quarter century, we have been loyal customers--every major appliance in our home bears this company's name. Once a symbol of reliability and craftsmanship, its service arm has, regrettably, become a study in decline. Each year seems to bring a new low in professionalism. Service appointments are routinely canceled at the last minute, leaving customers stranded in the scheduling void. The technician assigned to our area, in particular, has redefined discourtesy--arriving unprepared, dismissive, and often unhygienic. Shoe coverings, once a simple mark of respect for the household, are flatly refused. When asked for explanations or details about repairs, responses come laced with impatience or outright rudeness. It is disheartening to witness a brand once associated with trust erode so steadily at the hands of its own representatives. After decades of loyalty, we are left to wonder whether the company remembers what service once meant--or if it now believes its long-time customers will simply tolerate neglect disguised as business as usual. read more

My family and I love the kitchen they designed for use. Beautiful and very useful. We have only had a few issues we needed to put inn service calls on. One was a cabinet door, that issue was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. Ditto for a loose tile However, the latest issue is a dishwasher that needs repair. I purchased the 5year extend warranty, this is the first time we've needed service. They sold this to me explaining how I'd get quick reliable service. However today Thu 1/20 I call to get a service appointment and the EARLIEST they have available is Mon 1/31, over 10 days away! VERY DISAPPOINTING AND FRUSTRATING! So much for quick service. They've dropped from 5 stars to 3. I was only going to buy all my appliances from Bray & Scarff, no I'll probably go with best price and shop around. Maybe Best Buy. read more

Went here to purchase Bosch Kitchen Appliances - salesman very well, rude. Almost like they didn't want to let us look around. When we said we wanted Bosch he told us maybe 4 months - more likely 18 months. As we are leaving he shouts out, across the room loudly "it is like that everywhere - you won't get those products for a year and a half" One week later (ordered on friday last week -everything installed and working this friday) Home depot just delivered my suite of Bosch appliances - stove, refer, micro and dishwasher. I purchased a GE front loader washer and dryer over a month ago and the install is still not complete. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmareI recommend that my beautifully melanated brothers and sisters spend their money elsewhere. Update: Although I purchased my GE washer and dryer on February 12th, the install was finally completed on Thursday, April 2nd when the pedestals were installed. One of the pedestals is scratched; however, i didn't report it because I'm glad to be done with this process and have no further dealings with this store. I've never experienced such apathy toward customer service. A lot of responsibility was placed on me to communicate with the store when parts for the pedestals were delivered. After three deliveries, I finally received all of the parts for the install. Ironic that it took the salesman less than an hour to collect more than $3k for these appliances; yet, the install took more than a month and a few failed attempts to complete. The bottom line is GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!! read more

Ordered a Bosch dishwasher in Feb 2021 and was told there could be a 4-6 month delay by our salesman Jeffrey. He took the entire price of the dishwasher upfront as a deposit as well. Fine, the expectation was upfront. Fast forward 6 months. No contact from the salesperson until we contacted him. Was told there were delays but should be coming soon. Told we could always cancel though, as if they didn't want our business and made me question when we would get delivery. After 9 months, still no word so contacted him again. Told it was taking up to 10 months, they had no idea when they would be receiving a shipment, and they had 15 other people in the same situation (like that mattered to me!). It is now going on 11 months and no delivery in sight but again "You can always cancel". It seems to me that they would get some notification from the Bosch factory, especially since the Bosch website shows dishwasher delays are 4-6 months. Customer service information is like pulling teeth and contradicts the Bosch website. Hope I get delivery in a year but not counting on it. read more

All in all, a mediocre experience. There was some confusion during the purchasing of the wolf professional cooktop. The sales person was trying to charge me for a permit for Montgomery county, but I live in Calvert county. It took some strong convincing on my part to keep her from charging me. Makes me wonder how many other customers were charged unnecessarily. On to the delivery. They told me to call them two days before the counters were installed. I did that. A week and a half later, the site survey team showed up and checked the cut on the counters. All seemed good. Another week passed and after several calls, I can finally schedule a delivery. At this point I'm informed they want $750.00 because their site survey team said the counter opening needed additional cutting. I went ballistic! Flashback, during the purchase, they wouldn't give me a template for the cutout, told me to tell the countertop installers to looking it up on the website. I told them, no way in hell was I paying them $750. And certainly not upfront. The counter installers used the wolf diagram from the wolf website. After talking to the manager, Butch, and some checking, they determined they'd made a mistake, and the counter didn't need additional cutting. This seemed liked they were trying to add additional charges to my installation. So at this point I find out they have not even ordered the stovetop I paid for over a month before. Three weeks later the stove is finally installed. Since the wolf stove tops are not discounted much by dealers (according to the Wolf Demo site in Columbia, MD), there was no advantage to using Bray & Scarff. They just happened to be the closest to me. Too much angst working with them. I would go elsewhere. read more

We purchased a GE Cafe' Refrigerator from the Bowie store a little over two years ago and the compressor went out. When I called them they told me that because it was a GE they don't repair them, we had to call GE to repair it. A brand new refrigerator shouldn't have a compressor go bad. Once you purchase an appliance from Bray and Scarff don't know you and are no help, you have to deal directly with GE. We were hesitant about buying an appliance from them, but it was during the pandemic and there weren't a lot of choices at the time. After our experience, we will never buy another product from them and will definitely never buy another GE. read more

Great experience from start to finish. Steve McAllister guided me through the purchase and I did not even need to come into the store. He sent someone to measure the spaces for my dishwashers and combo microwave/oven then sent me terrific options based on the specs. He was highly responsive, helpful, and friendly and even sent a hand-written thank you note after installation. He also prepared all of the rebate forms for me so that all I had to do was follow a few simple steps, print/mail. The installation was also very smooth. Mike Mike (yes, that's his name -- no typo!) and DJ came when scheduled and hit a few obstacles during the install but they were able to fit all of the appliances with great care. They even swept up and vacuumed behind the old appliances for me. Overall, so glad for this experience and I would highly recommend this store and its support staff. read more

We have bought a number of appliances from this store. The store itself is very nice, and it's never busy. You are sure to get a very attentive salesperson with nothing but time for you as you shop. Unfortunately, that one on one experience does not guarantee you that you'll get the appliance that you ordered. Yep, that's right! You buy one thing, and they ship you another! At least, that's what happened to us. Actually, the salesperson put the wrong number for the appliance that we thought we were going to get. What I should have done, right then and there, is demand the appliance that I thought I purchased in the store. Instead, I was very nice, and I accepted a discount for an oven I did not order. I also purchased a five year guarantee for anything that goes wrong with the unit. That service contract was expensive, but I thought it worth the price. I was wrong. It wasn't worth the price, and here's why. This dealership promises you that you can get anything that goes wrong with your appliance fixed, and if they can't fix it, you'll get a new unit. What they don't tell you is how they hide behind supply and demand issues as to why it typically takes them TWO MONTHS to get your appliance fixed! But wait - it gets even worse, because more often than not, they'll call you the day you expect service - the day that you reserved time in your schedule - to tell you that the part didn't arrive after all, or that they have the wrong part. There's more. Typically when they do come out to fix whatever they diagnosed to be wrong with your appliance, they find that it also needs another part before it will work! That means you will get to wait another two months for the part to arrive, and then you'll receive another phone call the day that you expect service to tell you that they aren't coming after all, and you have to reschedule again (and again, and again, and again). Seriously, I couldn't make this up if I was a bad screenwriter. Consider yourself forewarned. Do not, under any circumstances, purchase any appliances from this particular Bray and Scarff. We never will again. They are beyond pathetic. read more

My existing dishwasher died on New Year's Day. They just don't make 'em like they used to. In fact, this was the third dishwasher since we bought the house in 2003. The one that was in the house when we bought it died a few years after we moved in. I bought one from Home Depot (never, again!). That lasted about 6 years. The next one came from a place I found on Angie's List. I wasn't thrilled with that place and the control panel went out in the summer of '16 (a $264 repair) and finally died on New Year's Day. Bray and Scarff are nearby and they do a lot of marketing so I thought, why not. There was one sales person in the showroom (it was a Sunday and it was New Year's Day) and it was the store manager helping a person who had gotten there before me. I patiently waited since I needed a dishwasher. Long story short. The guy was knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. I went with just a few requirements (quietness being one of them) and he pointed out a KitchenAid that met that requirement and was reasonably priced. Delivery was 9 days later. I would have liked faster but I wasn't really bent out of shape about it. The delivery came at the early end of the time window I was given. The delivery and installation guy was thorough, quick and competent. So far, everything is working fine.It's quiet, easy to use and does what it's supposed to do. After washing dishes by hand for a week, I appreciate a dishwasher. Here's the bottom line: my experience with the sales process and the delivery process has been good. I bought the service contract because my experience with dishwashers, regardless of brand, is that they break down earlier rather than later. The dishwasher works fine although I've only had it for a week or so and just a few washes. I would go back to Bray and Scarff in a heartbeat for my other appliance needs. read more

The staff was wonderful when purchasing and upon delivery. Their communication was great from day of order until delivery! Butch was the salesperson and was wonderful answering all my many questions and educating me. The delivery team was very polite! They called to give a heads up that they were on the way. They came in masked and were very professional. They did not move anywhere in the house without asking for permission. They were very careful and just so pleasant! They made installation look like a breeze! They gave us tips on how to handle the ice, the water and showed us the location of the air and water filters. Lesson learned....never write a review prior delivery. I wrote a 5 star review a few days ago based on the promises made by Terry at Bray and Scarff, but last night at 7 pm (night before our scheduled delivery) everything changed. We were notified that our delivery had been rescheduled, without our consent, because two items were not delivered to their warehouse. During the sale, they told us that they were one of the only companies that could access Whirlpool products quickly, however, they knew about order for two weeks and still could not deliver on time. They did not even ask if we wanted the other two in stock items delivered as scheduled. This was a disaster since we had removed all of our appliances in preparation for our delivery. Two of them had already been sold and the other two were pending pick up the day after delivery. We are extremely disappointed in the customer service at Bray and Scarff. Luckily, we found another store that could deliver on time. We will never visit Bray and Scarff again. read more

This is my second review on the same subject. Based on my first review, Bray and Scarff asked me to contact them and gave me a specific email address. I contacted them as requested. NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER. Two full weeks after contacting them at the email they gave me. No call, no email, no movement from the extended warranty company. So, after not ordering a replacement door, then ordering the incorrect replacement door, today the tech at the extended warranty company forgot to bring the door with him. Really. We are now two months into this with no result. I hurry home to meet him and at the time he was supposed to be here, I get a call telling me he forgot the door. Worst customer service ever. Butch is a liar and his customer service is detestable. I purchased a $3000 oven. Paid in full. Then I had to hire their subcontractor electrician for $1875 to upgrade my system... This is understandable. Went into the store 6 times and a month later finally that part was done. After 6 weeks I finally have a delivery date.... 6 weeks for a standard item. Then Butch calls the night before. He says pay another $150 if you want us to deliver.... For what??? He can't really answer... First it was for measurements done 6 weeks before, then it was for building a cabinet to hold my oven. I refused. I asked to speak with the boss... No, Butch says he is on vacation. He asks if I have the invoice in front of me. I say no. He says that the charges are on my original invoice and I didn't pay.... I said 'Butch, I actually have the invoice in front of me and you are a liar'. By the way, I have a cabinet for the oven. It is the same oven as I have, only new. He says I still have to pay. I told them this is bait and switch tactic and I will take him to court. They deliver the unit. They call me at work and say the unit doesn't work... I will need to pay $150 to get their electrician to hook it up. I laugh. My electrician comes 15 minutes later and says, if they want it to work they have to plug it in and turn it on. Well it is not in my cabinet, it sits plugged in, in the middle of my kitchen. Another visit to Butch, 6 ignored telephone calls. Who knows how this will end. I told them.... I had $15,000 in stove and counter tops on order from them. Why try to milk me for another $150? I canceled that order. Purchased higher quality counters for 1/3 the price at United Granite. I have built huge, million dollar projects in my years. And I never dealt with a liar like Butch or a high priced company with horrible service. read more

We just had our new KitchenAid Dishwasher installed. The installer - Richard - was professional, polite, and made efficient use of his time. He answered all questions we had and tested to assure the machine worked and there were no leaks. Our initial contact with Bray & Scarff was via online chat with Butch. That chat lead to a follow-up telephone call and purchase. Butch was very helpful and gave us a great deal. We dealt with Steve via telephone and email for delivery arrangements and he too was great to work with as well If the new dishwasher performs as well as Richard, Butch, and Steve, I think well be very satisfied for a long time. This is our first transaction with Bray & Scarff but it most likely will not be the last and we'll have no problem making referrals. read more

Before walking into this store, do yourself a favor, go shop at FERGUSON'S. Avoid this location/company by all means... I promise you will regret it.!!!! I have NEVER encountered such inept, incompetent, unprofessional, rude, offensively aggressive, disrespectful, and lack of expert experience from any employee as I have at this company in my life. After spending upwards of $9k for a refrigerator. I was dismayed, so dissatisfied, so disappointed, and baffled, all at the same time, with the service level I was extended. This company sales beautiful above grade, very expensive, state of the art appliances, but the level of service is so BELOW the grade, it needed to be noted. Firstly, avoid BUTCH, by all means.. He is rude, deceptive, dishonest, very disrespectful, overly controlling, loud, inconsiderate and ignorant. He lacks the understanding of "customer are important" I have never encountered such a terrible employee at such a renowned company.. BUTCH needs to be FIRED asap. His presence does this company a deserve. His word is not worth the air he speaks, and he is a liar. And, I will pride myself everyday with making sure no one that I know encounters him. It all started, when I called this store to request delivery for my Sub-Zero refrigerator. The refrigerator was located at one of Bray and Scraff other locations. Butch, eagerly processed $219.00 on my credit card for the delivery fee, after knowing alI of the details. I mentioned that I would come to the store to give him my address to where I wanted the refrigerator to be delivered at a later date. Prior to the delivery date, Butch tried contacting me to get the address where the refrigerator would be delivered, however, I was not available. Needless to mention, Butch did process my payment knowing these facts. On another date, shortly after Butch had tried to contact me, I went into the store and spoke with a Terry. I explained to Terry that I needed to schedule a delivery for a refrigerator that Bruce had already processed, and that I needed to issues an address. While Terry was very helpful, he made me feel as if my integrity was in question my entire visit. He questioned me intensely, gathering information as if I were some type of bad person. Wait a minute, I thought I was here to schedule delivery, not defend my character.. After Terry suggested and confirmed a June 26, delivery date , I was elated and pleased. As I made a confirmation call on the 19th, just to confirm the 26th delivery, at that time I was told that my delivery had been cancelled. I received no correspondence of this update from no one. When I began to question Butch about this decision, he opted to speak fast, without facts, then hang up on me. Within the content of our conversation, BUTCH did mention that another salesperson from another location had cancelled the delivery time...and that he was not going to get paid for helping me, so I guess that explains why he hung up.. Butch stole my money now he has no clue of my delivery. There is no place in the servicing industry for such manipulation. I've paid every dime of the $9K that Bray and Scarff requested as the price for the refrigerator, I paid another $219.00 for the delivery fee. All I want is what I paid for. Help!!! One of the best experiences I've had purchasing something as major as a refrigerator. We were really in a tough spot because we just moved into a house and the fridge died and couldn't be repaired so we just had to go ahead and replace it. Our food was quickly warming up and we had to hurry up and do something. No where we went had anything available for delivery any time soon or in our budget, so our stress levels were really rising. The team at Bray & Scarff listened to us and made it work. They helped us find the perfect fridge that we could afford and got it to us quickly. Terry and Mike helped us out, and we were so grateful for their help, and are so happy with our fridge. We will be going back for all of our appliance needs, and probably our kitchen renovations too. Decided at the last moment Friday afternoon to buy a refrigerator but needed it on Tuesday. The employee helping us was knowledgeable and very helpful, even though he knew our purchase would be modest as our house is small so no fancy frig for us. Provided a printout comparing our top choices and didn't rush us even though it was almost time for the store to close. They agreed to deliver on Tuesday so I got my refrigerator right on time. The deliVery team was outstanding, even helping to clean up the floor before we moved in the new one. They also cleaned up behind my stove which has to be moved to install the water line for the ice maker. I would give five stars except for a misunderstanding about the water line needing to be installed. The sales person had not mentioned this and we needed the line replaced. Bought the warranty which seemed affordable and can be reimbursed if not used. read more

Butch at Bray and Scarff was great. Showed me all my possible choices and options on our Whirlpool washer and dryer. Delivery men Ben and Noel were on time and just fantastic. We have old very small house. Parking delivery truck was hard because of our small driveway. Ben cautioned me washer and dryer are deep and they might not be able to get them in our small doorway but we worked together and they gave me time to move things around and take off screen door. Our ceiling in laundry room is under seven feet and again he cautioned me it might not be possible to stack washer and dryer. We bought it specifically to stack to save room in our house but they took their time and in the end they worked hard to stack them and it fit. Great job Butch, Ben and Noel. read more

This is Bray and Scarff's repair line. I called to get an estimate for a specific repair on our washing machine and they couldn't provide it because the schedulers don't have the technical expertise. When I asked if a technician could provide a quote in the next few days, the answer was a curt "no". They were willing to send someone to our house in five-days time ($99 minimum) to diagnose the problem and provide a quote. I had another service (highly recommended on yelp) come to my house yesterday and they diagnosed the problem for $50 but don't do the repairs necessary. (Because it involves the drum they recommended we replace the washing machine.) It was refreshing they had someone to our house on the very same day I called and it was only $50. B&S also told me they wouldn't trust someone else's diagnosis, which is fair, but I would still hope they could give an estimate for the repair I requested. I give this poor rating because of the long wait for a technician, the price, and their unwillingness to be helpful by providing a quote on a certain repair. For the record, we bought our appliances at B&S and would rate their retail much better. read more

I can be an impulse buyer at times but not when it came to making a selection on upgrading our kitchen appliances. Terry L. at the Bowie, MD location is 100% all about his word! I wasn't aware but last year when my fiancé and I dropped in, Terry committed to giving my fiancé a call (after showing us several 4-piece pkgs) to see if we were still in the market fire some new appliances. We were waiting for the right time to take advantage of a huge sale. Had we not been prompted by Terry's phone call during President's Day wknd, we may not have "taken the plunge"! I have to admit we'd already done our homework over the last year since we first encountered Terry. I promise you when I say that due to our research, I could recall just about every important aspect of every review on most manufacturers almost verbatim! Lol. When making price comparisons, rebates, cost of installation and delivery fees, capacity, tax free Energy Star promotions, and absolute must-haves can be so darn confusing but Bray & Scarff's offerings seemed to surpass their competitors in many ways. So we went with Bray & Scarff's stainless steel GE Profile for our home. Boy is it some kinda perrrty! For someone who doesn't necessarily love to cook, I don't mind hanging around our new kitchen. The French door configuration refrigerator with freezer at the bottom takes some getting used to, but we love the fact that it's enormous. Storage space is a worry of the past! Love the internal LED lights and the subtle but fancy colored light options on the deli drawer. The "sensing" option on the water dispenser is absolutely phenomenal. Who has time to stand their whole time they're filling a cup/glass/water bottle? Perhaps we haven't discovered a way to do so yet, but wish we could control the volume of the chimes the water/ice dispenser. Having the second ice maker in the bottom freezer too! We elected to get the 5-burner convection gas stove (it's a beast might I add). Never had convection in the past but we have had no problems getting used to a speedier cook time. Halellujah! We've already used the griddle insert to make pancackes and the grill to grill chicken and fish. We're all set to entertain now! We'd be remissed if we didn't mention our new convection microwave and new less than 50 decibel dishwasher. Even when we're standing in the kitchen, we sometimes have to peak at it to make sure it's still running. It's quiet as a mouse, and we're still stoked about the upper/lower wash options and the water bottle sprayers...Whoo hoo! No more struggling to get those little pesky things satisfactorily cleaned. Not sure how we made it all these years without the improved technology, larger capacity, aesthetic beauty, and overall operability of our new kitchen appliances. Thanks Terry for following-up a whole year later just like he promised to do! Your assertiveness, knowledge of the various product lines, professionalism. (and your wonderful humor) has made a difference. Our new kitchen is more of a place where we can fellowship; and it's all due in part to our top-rated kitchen appliances. Had a scheduled install of a undercabinet microwave on 7/10/2020. The installers who Bray and Scarf contracts their installs with did not call to confirm the time window until the day before scheduled install. The time window given was from 4pm to 8 pm which conflicted with an already scheduled doctor's appointment I had the same day at 3:30 pm. I was forced to now have to wait until 7/17/2020 for a new install date. I still have no idea what my time window is since I have to wait until the day before yet again to receive a time window. I find this terribly inconvenient but horrible customer service. I've purchased many appliances from Bray and Scarf and have experience the same issues with their installation/delivery policy. This will definitely be the last appliance I buy from this company. It's truly a shame considering that their salespeople are very good and very informative of their products they sell. I just spend over $7K for appliances with Bray and Scarff. The items were to be delivered this past Friday. However, I was called the day prior to be informed that my wall unit was not in stock and would be in around the 27th but the other items would be delivered as scheduled. The delivery made late that Friday was a comedy of errors. The installers stripped the screw on the handle of the dishwasher - so the handle could not be put on, therefore I can not open it. The cook top, they took out my old one only to find out the measurements taken by their personnel was incorrect. My old system had to be reinstalled. Therefore, only one of the items purchased was installed and I could not use it - because you cannot open it without the handle. They were suppose to call me Saturday to let me know when they were returning. Saturday, no call and I find out that my cook top is not working because they did not turn the gas back on. I called and the gentleman tried to walk me through turning on the gas - no luck. Then I am informed that the earliest that they can come back out would be Tuesday. Now, I am without my cook top as well as the dishwasher. It is now Tuesday, still no handle for the dishwasher, it has to be ordered - to be here Thursday. They installed the cook top and I have gas. However, they had to take out the spice drawer and take it back to their shop to trim it to fix the new system. May get back in a week. As far as my wall unit goes - the sales person left me a voice mail stating it is on back order and it is estimated that it will be about 3 weeks due to a quality issue. During this ordeal when I tried to contact my sales person, he was not available and the other sales person would not assist. So, I am not sure if I will purchase from B&S again. read more

I could not find my review so here we go again!! Purchased a GE front loader washer. Long story from 2 loads of wash it sounds like a jet taking off. 2 repair man here, one from bray& scaff &1 from GE told us it was a functioning washer. My first washer bought 1970 was not near as loud as this. I was in my family room and my daughter called. She ask what her dad was drilling, I said that is the washer in the laundry room (the side of the house, behind the kitchen)! Returning the washer, I guess doing us a favor because we have it 1 day over the 2 weeks return. We looked at paper work and no where is there a return policy! Why did no one tell us when we got this washer that it could be returned?? Oh, yes we have to pay a restocking fee, what a joke!!! We have been calling from the day after we got the washer about the problem! read more

Of course the usual...great sales but....late delivery...3:30 PM to 7:30 PM window...guess when B&S arrived? Then the appliance was dented so the entire purchase and afternoon/evening of waiting was wasted. read more

Beware of this store! I was looking to replace an aging dual-fuel range. Went to the Bowie Bray & Scarff to look at a few GE models. We worked with Thomas for 2 hours and found what we were looking for. By the way, Thomas was great! Now this was no regular cheap stove. It was a $2,800 range to replace a $7,000 range. We settled on the warranty contract, had to pay for delivery, permits, a site-check and removal of the old appliance. Over $3,600 in all. They failed to schedule the delivery on the day we discussed and then the issues started. They finally scheduled delivery for the next day. All good right? No. I was called late that night and told that I needed an electrical box upgrade for $175. No Problem. Then I was told the fee for removing the old appliance that was stated in the contract (and on-line) of $14.95, was now $150. No way! The next day the manager, Butch, called and confirmed the new removal rate of $150 because my old range was a "Pro Style" range and was heavier that a "normal" range. Is it 10x heavier??? He then offered to do it for $100, but that too was ridiculous! No where on the website or the contract did it say that removal was based on weight or anything of that matter. So, Butch, said $100 or I can call my crew and not delivery. So be it, no new range for me. The next day I returned to the store to get my credit card refunded, Butch was there. As Thomas (Again, he was a great salesman and person) attempted to help us he experienced computer issues. He asked Butch to help, but Butch ignored me like the plaque! He was too busy with another customer to fix a minor computer issue. So, Bray & Scarff let a $3,600 sale go because they changed the rules after a contract was signed. Very poor customer service and Butch was clearly a poor manager! I will not do business with them again. read more

I went in the Bowie location to check on the sale they were offering. The salesman,Terry Lane, was very personable. I got a good deal & with the rebates I was totally pleased. Delivery went without a hitch. I'm a satisfied customer. Thanks Bray & Scarff read more

So I have to say I am having one of my WORST buying experiences EVER with this company. Everything started out great. The ordering process for all four of my appliances was seamless. The sales person know how to ensure all the products were in the same line and matched handles etc. So - next comes delivery day. I wait excitedly for the delivery. First item to come up the stairs, the new stand alone gas range --- Wait - I did not order a stand alone gas range. I ordered a slide in. I call the sales person. The sales person calls delivery and confirms the incorrect range was placed on the truck. ARG.. Ok - Next in comes the Microwave and dishwasher - all is good with both of these. Then, the delivery people say they need to take my front door off to get the refrigerator in. I was busy and not paying attention to be honest but it is not uncommon to have to take the door off sometimes. Then as they are trying to bring the refrigerator up the stairs, I realize the refrigerator is way to big. I wanted a counter depth fridge and what had made its way through my front door was certainly not that. So another call to the sale person only to eventually find out they don't make the exact model I preferred in counter depth. The one they could get in counter depth was not attractive and was close to 1000$ more because of course -- the sale is no longer going on. canceled the fridge and ordered a new one from another store. So now I am only waiting on the delivery of the correct range. I asked for it to be delivered on the same day as the new refrigerator so I only had to make one trip to the house. I was told no problem. 6:30 PM the night before the range was supposed to be delivered and I have heard nothing. I call the store. My sales person is busy and will call me back. When I finally speak to the sales person it was around 7:50 pm. The sales person indicated he tried to call me twice after his lunch to let me know there was a problem with the deliver but the call never seemed to go through. OK - things happen with cell phone I get it -- but even if the lunch ended at 2:00 PM to not have tried to call again in 4.5 hours in unacceptable. The sales person then tells me the delivery group has no record of what was actually delivered and what was not during the first delivery attempt. I indicate that that is a very interesting statement as I have the delivery slip in front of me which clearly stated what was and was not delivered. I have to take a picture of my receipt and send it to the store. By now I have asked to talked to the manager and ask for an explanation as to why my range was not scheduled for delivery when delivery previously admitted to the sales person the wrong range was put on the truck. So here I sit at 9:00 PM the night before my range was supposed to be delivered and guess what - I will not be getting a range delivered tomorrow. When I asked the manager to have his supervisor call me the next day he questioned what difference that would make. I informed him if nothing else, it might make me a bit happier which I was not at the moment. Begrudgingly he told me he would have his supervisor call. I do not plan on dealing with the company again. read more
