This place was recommended by my girlfriend. I have tried several times to use this business. The work is adequate and acceptable. However, the woman that runs the front counter is the rudest person I've ever met in the service offering business. I have yet to see her smile and she has just been rude. The business has removed its operation hours for daily opening. I was told last week the hours went from 10:30am to 11:00am. I was just at the store front door at 11:00am and someone placed a sign on the door (while I was looking at the door) they would not open until 3:00pm. I'm done with this place. On day 10 I came in and they were miraculously "done." It was my mistake for not trying them on at the store. When I got home I tried them on and she didn't even alter them and charged me $125!!! Terrible workmanship. I brought 10 pair of shorts to be taken in on the sides. She pinned each pair and told me it would be 2 weeks. I asked for a cash discount as each pair was $25, she said no but that she would press and put a crease in them (as they do not normally press the clothes). I got a text saying they wouldn't be ready until a day later, which was fine. My husband went to pick them up and they weren't pressed as promised. She was angry and rude to him and others in the shop. Worse yet - when I tried them on they were all different levels of poorly fitting (all were the same shorts). My previous cleaners/tailor closed, and my new cleaners in LN (which is great) uses this tailor so I may be looking for new cleaners as well. So disappointed. read more

I moved here from Newport Beach a year ago and it was really hard for me to find a tailor that I could trust and count on... I am a busy, corporate, professional, and I am constantly buying clothes that I need to have hemmed and taken in. I can always count on Brasília to be on time and do excellent work... And I have to say I'm super picky. I had a really good Taylor in North Orange County and I just can't spend the time to drive to them. I am super impressed with their efficiency and also the fact that the owner literally texts me every time my clothes are already. Honestly, that is such great customer obsessed service... I dropped a couple of pairs of pants off on Monday for a simple and quick hemming, and was told they would be ready on Saturday. I remember being surprised it would take so many days, but I needed them by Sunday, so Saturday should be ok. So I stop by at 2:15pm on Saturday and am told they still aren't ready to be picked up. When the women attending me sees my consternation, she goes on to say that the time they are supposed to be ready is after 4pm on Saturday as if it is my fault when that is not what she told me when I dropped them off, nor does it say anything about that on the ticket: it just has Saturday circled. I ended up having to wait around while they took care of it, and when it was done, any apology or discount for my trouble? Not a word. I recommend taking your alterations elsewhere. read more

My sister and I have been religiously coming here to get our designer jeans altered and we are both extremely pleased with the outcome. They also use stitching that will 99.9% of the time match the stitching to your designer jeans. They are quick in their turnaround and are fast when they do your measuring. For your jeans, it will cost around $7-$8 per pair for alterations. But trust me, it is well worth it because they always do a good job and take of your jeans. read more

The business owner, Araceli, is the most unprofessional, poorly mannered, unreliable and deceitful person I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. It took SIX weeks and FOUR separate trips to this establishment to finally have her declare that my two pants were ready for pick up. Each time I would go in on her repeatedly promised dates, she would say that she forgot about the items and never even offer even the slightest apology. When my pants were finally ready, she once again neither offered even a simple apology for the ridiculously long delay nor perhaps even a nominal concession. Instead, she had the audacity to want to charge me $85 for just two alterations! You would think that any reasonably-minded business owner would do something to acknowledge their own wrongdoing and foster good customer service in the wake of such an ordeal. She did nothing but add more insult to the entire situation by demonstrating that she does not value her customer's time and overall experience. This woman does not deserve to stay in business whatsoever. She has no compassion or sense of accountability for her business antics. In my fifty-six years of existence, I have never met anyone who lacks such basic business etiquette and yet is so pompous, arrogant and money hungry at the same time. Frequent customer/no longer coming here A good alteration/tailor is a business where they can tailor your clothes efficiently in a time manner, open their doors during the stated business hours, good customer service when they are at fault, and appreciating ones patronage. I've been here many times and today was our family's last time. Our pick up ticket said to pick up on a Tuesday, I came on a Thursday (2 days later) and then the lady/manager walked around looking for our items then realized that she hadn't completed them. She asked me if I could return that same day and I said no, she said that they would be ready on the following day. I was cordial and thankful and came back at 10:30 on the time they advertise they will open. No one opened the doors until 10:45, then the clothes weren't even ready. She appeared to be stitching up the last of the job, barely hung the dress shirt on the hanger without buttoning the buttons and slapped on another pants in the middle that she tailored and sent me on my way without acknowledging thank you for waiting, apologizing for any delay and for the sloppy presentation. There are too many tailoring/alteration places to choose from and they totally lost our family's business so rude. read more

Per the reviews and my experience, I anticipate my clothes to be ready anywhere from 7 to 14 days of the drop off date. I don't wait a week prior to an event to request an alteration. Otherwise, you may just not have your item ready. No matter how simple the requested alteration maybe, it's obvious they are very busy and due to the high volume, you may experience delays. Also, when my items are ready for pick up, I get a text message to avoid the unnecessary dry run. The important thing for me is the workmanship. So I will continue to come to this location...and Araceli always smiles. My suggestion to improve customer satisfaction is change the availability time from one week to two weeks, offer premium rates for urgent requests and modify the time you open instead of 10:30 am open at 11:00 am. I'm back with another review albeit, a negative one. I vowed never to return to this place due to their inability to deliver the service the promised. In the numerous times I've patronized them, I have NEVER received my altered garments on the promised date. The lady (owner I presume because she's always there) always have an excuse as to why my garment(s) isn't finished. Mind you, I always wait a couple of days after the promised date, just because I know what to expect. Well, it wore thin on me and. Got tired of the excuses and empty promises. I asked my wife not to patronize this place because of their unreliability to deliver their service as promised. I guess she forgot. Well today she asked me to pick up a bag that needed a zipper replaced. She dropped it off 10 days ago. It was supposed to be picked up July 2, 2022. Today is July 7, and my anxiety level increased knowing that I'm sure it won't be ready. Low and behold, it wasn't ready because according to the lady, UPS hasn't delivered the zipper. Why didn't she call us on July 2 to let us know the zipper hasn't been delivered so the bag isn't finished? Long story short, she never runs out of excuses to tell the patron as to why their garment isn't finished. She can't be running a business like this. I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau to lodge a complaint I have found another seamstress/alteration place that delivers on time and is very professional. Been coming here for 2 years now. I swear I'm in here every other week. I try things on and she pins everything up without me evening saying a word. I've had her completely reconstruct items for me because I liked the item, but it just didn't fit my small frame. She's turned dresses and rompers that were too long or too big into my size, she's taken jeans that were 3 sizes too big down, she's shortened jeans that had a zipper at the bottom by moving the zipper up and hemming, she's opened up items that were too tight, heck, she even fixed a strap on my leather Coach purse. They do get backed up especially during high school dance seasons. Unless you specify that you need an item on a designated date, it's likely that it won't be ready on the date they give you. This is usually because they get a lot of "urgent" items that end up taking up their time. Give yourself 2-3 weeks if you need something hemmed. I've had her turn around things in a couple days when I've told her that I need it by this date. As a rule of thumb, I recommend calling ahead of time to check to see if your item will be ready. She'll usually tell you if she can have it done by EOD or if she needs another day or so. She's super sweet though and does a great job. If I don't like the way something came out, she'll take the time to figure out what went wrong and fix it on the spot or within a day or 2. read more

I wish I could give a zero rating. Four years later, nothing has changed. There is nothing "express" about this business. I brought in my pants 10 days ago (thinking this should give them enough time). I was "promised" a date for when it will be done. Not surprising it wasn't even ready in that date. In fact, they've never been on time with any of my garments. I've missed important travel dates just so I can wait for them to finish. The problem with them rushing to complete the task is that their quality of work goes down. They fail to do quality control because it was such a rushed job. Too bad they're not a member of the Better Business Bureau, so no complaint can be lodged. They were incredible! My wedding dress came in at the beginning of February and my wedding was at the end of March so we did not have much time. Araceli was so flexible and even would stay after hours for me to come in because I was not able to get to her on weeknights before 6 pm. She was so meticulous about every detail on my dress and did everything I asked. My dress had a lot of lace detailing and she made sure that it kept its pattern even when altering the lace/mesh portions. She reinforced all my buttons on the back of the dress that went from my shoulders to my hips. She hemmed my dress, added 3 bustle hooks to have my dress bustle the exact princess style I wanted, and even sewed on my gold/diamond belt that I bought off of Etsy. Her work was so good and she was so great that both of my parents got their wedding outfits altered by her. Can not recommend her work enough. read more

I took my girlfriend here to get a shirt and vest altered for her. The owner asked for our phone number so she could call us if there was any change to our scheduled pick up time. Everything seemed fine and dandy until we showed up the day AFTER our pick up time. We were told that it wasn't ready yet and we should come back in 2 days. You would think we would have received a call telling us that it wouldn't be ready in time. We wasted time and gas to pick it up and it wasn't even ready! We went back A WEEK later and it was finally ready. The owner tried to charge us FULL price so I asked if we could have the price adjusted for the lack of communication and lack of execution in timing. She only took off $6. What a rip off. Never going back here again. TL;DR - gave a phone number to reach us, didn't call us to let us know that it wouldn't be ready in time, only knocked off $6 when we finally did get the clothes back. So when I get there again and as I am getting my clothes fitted, she starts to help other customers that comes in during my fitting, which was annoying. Finally she tells me she will have it ready on a Saturday, a tad over a week later. I went today, Tuesday to pick up my clothes and it still isn't ready. I would give this shop a minus 10 if I could. In the past three months, I've taken three separate orders to Brazilia Express Tailors in Mission Viejo. My orders have been small, like sewing military name tape on BDU blouses, and adjusting vests. On each order, the owner committed to completing each order from 10 days to 2 weeks. This is hardly "Express" service. I am fine with this since I didn't ask for express service. Every order wasn't ready when I was told they would be. As a result, I made unnecessary trips and had to go back a again (for each order) to pick up my clothes. The owner is unapologetic and claims the shop is busy each time. I can't believe she is late on every order for all her customers, but she has been unreliable with every order of mine. If you seek dependability in a tailor, and expect your clothes to be ready when they say they will, forget this shop. read more

I needed 5 patches sewn on to my Boy Scout shirt... I called ahead for a quote and to confirm that they could do the work while I wait. The price quoted was 20% less than the Scout Shop and I would not have to wait for days plus make a return trip. Jackpot! Everything went as expected until I got back to my car and inspected the work. What shock... not only were the new patches beautifully machine sewed on but, without telling me or charging me, they had machine sewed over 2 patches that were (very badly) hand sewn. Of course, the least I could do was to go back and pay for their extra work, and take a few minutes to share my experience with you here on Yelp! If you're looking for a tailor that takes pride in doing quality work at a very reasonable price look no further. Brazilia is the tailor you're looking for. Caveat emptor... this store is really busy. They sometimes get back logged (especially around school dances) so you need to be patient on delivery, or be very clear on your delivery deadline. If you need something on a deadline communicate your requirements clearly and follow up by phone to verify the work is complete before you drive to the store. I bought a new dress for my company holiday party and it was long sleeved, the photos or styling had made them look 3/4 length. The rest of the dress is awesome and fit great, so instead of returning it I brought it to Brazilia after reading the reviews for all the tailors in my area. \I was able to leave it with them for 5 days, and when I picked it up the day of the party is was done, and pressed and ready to wear, I was so happy. They did a wonderful job on the sleeves and it really perfected the dress for me. I feel like for the work they did, $8 was a great deal! I'm giving Brazilia 4 stars instead of 5 based on the time it takes them to get the job done. I dropped my pants off on a Tuesday and they were scheduled to be ready 10 (TEN) days later. This was the first time I'd been here, so I merely stored my claim tag in my car and counted down the days to get my brand new jeans back. When the 10 days were finally up, I pretty much raced to the shop to pick up my pants. However, it was only 11:30 and the tailor not so nicely pointed out that the claim tag said not to come back until 4pm. They literally had not even touched my pants in 10 days because I saw them still on the "to do" rack when I tried to pick them up the first time. Ludicrous. If it only takes a 4 hour window to hem them, why make people wait 10 days? As it was, when I came back at 4:30, they had to go in the back, grab them, and wrap them because they were just being finished. The job was well done and the price was great, only $8 for a job well done on some expensive jeans. When I gave here my slip, she was like "this is for this week? can you wait?" I said I was suppose to pick them up yesterday, I'm leaving in 2 hours to go out of town- so again, that's why I'm sitting here waiting.
