Alex is a GEM! My KitchenAid oven went out weeks ago and my fiancé and I have been tinkering with it based on the error code it's been spitting out. Today I'd had it and finally just gave Alex a call. He was able to meet me the same day and within 15 minutes of walking in he'd gotten the oven apart, isolated and resolved the issue, then chatted with me for the last 20 minutes while putting the oven back together. This is my second time to use Alex. The first time was through an Old Republic home warranty claim for my LG Dryer. He diagnosed the issue and once the part came in arranged to have it installed. My dryer is working perfectly. The second call was to replace a broken hinge on an oven door at a different property. *** BAD Business Practices *** Don't know how to talk to the customers. Very disrespectful and ill-tempered guy !!! Didn't call or update me on my ticket and getting mad at me that why I left a voice mail. What else I am supposed to do when the business never called and updated me. We were super Lucky to meet Alex! Great communication, on time, very honest, affordable and no bull *hit gimmicks. He quickly Diagnosed why our dishwasher wasn't draining and showed us what it was. He fixed the problem and even took the time to answer questions on our other appliances. Our refrigerator was only 1 1/2 old when it stopped making ice. Another repair service claimed that the model of my ice maker was notorious for breaking down and was not repairable. So, for almost 2 years, we bought bagged Ice. I was introduced to Lucky's via my home warranty. The backstory is I moved into a new home that had a dishwasher that is over 10 years old. Two months into my move the dishwasher stopped draining. The first company my warranty sent was a mess. Since this review is not about them I won't go into much details. After 4 visits and over $400 spent (my expenses and home warranty's expenses) with the first company with no success, I requested another company from my warranty company. A new claim was filed and Lucky's was assigned. Within a few hours of my the new claim, I got a call from Alex, the technician, to schedule an appointment for the same day if possible. Long story short, 1. Excellent communication: the communication process was great and the company was flexible with my schedule. He was able to come at a time I needed him without me having to take time off from work. 2. Quick Resolution: Alex was able to solve the issue in virtually no time. Keep in mind that the former company had come out four different times and were unable to fix the issue. 3. Well Prepared for Contingencies: He had all the right equipment and a shop vac just in case he had to suction all the water that was refusing to drain. This was greatly appreciated as the previous company had me scrambling all around the house for old towels and fabric to suck up all the water. 4. Above and beyond Service: Alex not only solved the issue and make necessary adjustments but took the time to explain the cause of the issue and how I can prevent further occurrence. In addition, he shared tips on how to maintain the dishwasher using vinegar and ensure any previous residue that may not be visible caused by the previous residents is fully eliminated. 5. Cleanliness & Detail oriented: I appreciate the fact that Alex asked if he should take his shoes off before coming without assuming even though the floors weren't carpeted. In my experience many technicians do not do this. In addition, he noticed there was a missing screw for my panel on my dishwasher and replaced with a spare he had. In comparison with the previous company, I found screws they forgot to reattach after the very first appointment. 6. Grace Period: Even though the issue had been clearly resolved, Alex said that he will leave the claim open for another 4 days to be safe whereas the other company I dealt closed the claim without even waiting to confirm the issue had been resolved. In all, I had a very pleasant experience with this company and Lucky's will be my first choice for future repairs. read more
