I reached out to Yuri at Reliant Appliance Repair about a broken dishwasher. I had studied the issue extensively, but couldn't fix it myself. Yuri let me know that he could come out and diagnose for $65 and, if it needed fixing, that fee would go towards the repair. Before committing to the fee, I described in depth the issue I was having; as well as, what I'd tried thus far to fix. Yuri informed me of what he expected the fix to be and let me know the fee would be approximately $350 for the fix. I spoke very candidly about that fee vs. just getting a new dishwasher and Yuri shared that, because my model dishwasher was already 10+ years old, and the fee to fix was $350, he recommended just purchasing a new dishwasher. Suffice to say, he was professional, polite, helpful and extremely patient with all of my questions, which he answered for free. Had a fridge go out for the first time in 6/7 years. Time flies i tell you. But this fridge survived 3 moves and 2 garages and saw a compressor issue. Got quotes from several people however this guys responded the quickest and had a better service rate. Others were changing 50% of a new fridge, I end up paying 40% of a new fridge cost however this was better in my eyes for a garage that will live in the garage for the rest of its life. But the guy Yuri came out, and quickly concluded what the issue was. Was surprised the fridge was in such great shape and was helping me decide to either buy a new one or fix it. We decided it was best we fix and he was able to fix within an hour. Freezer took around 6 hours to freeze a bottle of water but now that water bottle is harder than concrete after 10 hours. My fridge was a little slow at getting cold so I reached out and Yuri explained my coldest on fridge side comes from freezer so give it another 12 hours and I will be fine. It's now 4 days later and fridge is operating as of it came off shelf. Very happy with the experience. Fridge repair does cost however to spend thousands on a garage fridge was something I didn't want to do. Or but a scratch n dent one that could die 3 weeks later. Alexis came out as promised to look at my clothes washer which was not draining the water in the front gasket after a load, despite my cleaning the front of the gasket of my front end loader after each wash--but water started not draining and building up a few weeks ago. He explained that lint had built up "behind" the gasket and easily vacuumed it and the water after cleaning it. I appreciated him explaining the issue and agreed to the $65 visit fee, that would apply to his repair work, I am giving Reliant a 4 star and not a 5 star for two reasons despite my description of the quality work: 1)this simple job took less than 15 minutes to diagnose and fix. I thought their minimum fee of $149+ tax was a little high for such work. 2) he was convinced my cold and hot water hook-ups for 17 years was wrong on the machine. We went back and forth that after thousands of loads I am sure I would have notice that I could not get stains out on certain temperatures or settings if the connections were wrong. The hookup to the source looked correct. I still think Reliant Is a good company that I'll probably call again as they fixed my issue, were professional, explained my problem and showed up as promised. read more

I just had an excellent experience with Reliant Appliance repair. My 10 year old microwave stopped working last night, and I decided to try to fix it vs buying a new one. I put a bid out on Yelp, and it went to 5 different companies. The owner of Reliant responded at 630 am, and immediately knew what the issue was and quoted me a price, which was very reasonable. The only other responses I got were only quoting me a trip fee, with one stating that "it will probably be around $400", which is not even close to what I paid reliant. Several components that were replaced but didn't fix the issue were removed and I was not charged for them. When was the last time you met a service technician that said what he was going to do, how much it would cost, when he would do the work AND HE ACTUALLY DID WHAT HE SAID? ----- i thought so - me too, until I found this guy. Yuri is a real professional - I called him to check out my parents appliances that had water damage from the freeze in Feb 2021 - my mother had a "high end" range purchased for a princely price from a "high end dealer" who also was responsible for the initial installation. The thing never worked right, even after the 'high end dealer" sent additional technicians to work on the range - they even tried technicians from other companies and finally decided to simply live with the limited performance. Then, by hook or by crook I found Yuri's company and it was like a breath of fresh air. Yuri checked their appliances and repaired their range that seemed to stymie the "high end dealer's" staff - and all for a make-a-living price. This man had the issue diagnosed in literally one minute. He showed me what was wrong and asked for a little more time to give a thorough inspection of the rest of the dryer. He found another related problem. He was able to quote me the repair cost and I was more than happy to give him the okay to fix it. Not only did he fix it, he vacuumed out the entire dryer and cleaned everything. I could not have had a more positive and professional experience. I am not a relative, just a very satisfied customer.
