Compared to all the other spots we had while in NOLA, I feel like this was only alright. If you're visiting and only have limited time to try places, I wouldn't recommend. If you're here for a while then sure see for yourself. We ordered the egg, bacon, and cheese biscuit. I was disappointed in the breakfast biscuit. The potatoes though?! They were fireeeee! If I ever go back I'm only going for potatoes lol. Maybe I'll try something else on the menu.

Stopped in here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Casual spot, you order at the counter, they have counter and table seating. Food was good, I had the pancakes and my husband had the meat lovers omelet. I thought the omelette could be a bit better, it didn't quite have enough cheese for my taste. Potatoes on the side were good, very crispy. The pancakes were tasty as well. Prices weren't bad for downtown NOLA. Nothing extraordinary, but a good breakfast, would come back.

I was expecting an average breakfast cafe and just walked in because it was freezing! I can't say I wasn't pleasantly surprised. The menu looked pretty basic and simple so I was just expecting a basic simple breakfast. But when I got my French toast it was like a five star restaurant! I've never had such a tasty breakfast. All the way down to the simplest side of potatoes. All items on my plate were packed in flavor! So so good. And the ladies working the counter! Some of the sweetest service so early in the morning. Really gave me a great start to my day. Definitely a way to kickstart your morning!

Fast friendly service. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage, generous portions, reasonable price.

Came to this place while in the area and chose it based on its rating. It's Easy to find location with large menu and seat yourself seating. The staff could be friendlier to customers and each other, and the place definitely needs a deep cleaning, everything is spread out and packaged individually like the condiments and everything you need to eat which is rather annoying when your food arrives and you have to get up and move around tons of other customers to get what you need. The food came quickly and was reasonably priced but lacked heat. I Was also disappointed that the fried potatoes were not homemade. I ordered a chia latte hot and it wasn't hot at all. Overall the reason for the low rating was all about the service and lack of quality and cleanliness. You are served on paper plates with paper cups and plastic wear that isn't covered or sealed. There is a lack of overall quality in the service and food delivery/service and while there are good bones and room for improvement, it remains underwhelming for the time being.

Great little diner hidden by big buildings and hotels. Walk up to the counter to order, take your number and find your seat. Watching the juicer make orange juice is pure entertainment and always juicing. Service is steady- no rush and no hurry and everything works out fine, so bring your patience. Appears to be a scratch kitchen but don't hold me to that if I'm wrong. Everyone is friendly. The prices are on point with the portions and if you leave and you're not full, then that's on you!

Our food was delicious. Delivered quick after a little wait to be seated. No waiting area so we had to stand outside in the rain. This was walkable from our hotel. Once we were seated, we enjoyed all aspects of our environment and experience.

Line long, moved slowly on a Sunday morning. Employee told me she wasn't making any coffee or teas at the moment but I noticed others after me were made. No waffles either so pretty bummed. Food was worth the wait when it came out. Probably the best breakfast we had while here and visiting year after year. Husband had hot sausage omelet. I had cheese biscuit and breakfast potatoes which were very good. Good vibe and music.

Such great food and service!! Ms. Dey was so accommodating when we told her we were in a rush to get to a conference. The food is insanely delicious. Crispy breakfast potatoes, and perfectly seasoned Cajun Biscuit!! Definitely will be back next time im in Nola:)))

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! We will be back.

My wife had heard about the Pimm's Cup so we ordered a sample flight of their 3 flavors (Original, Strawberry, & Englishman's). All 3 were excellent. My personal fav was the Englishman's but my wife preferred the Original. We started off with the Crawfish Flatbread as an appetizer. The topping was really tasty but the bread was a bit undercooked. I ordered a 1/2 Italian Muffuletta and my wife had a red beans and rice. I will say that unless you are starving and have a huge appetite, I don't know how someone could eat a whole Muffuletta. They are huge. My 1/2 was more than the 2 of us could put away. Looking at other plates as they were brought out assured me that you shouldn't leave this place hungry. Everything looked huge and very yummy.

Entering through the tunnel you get the sense that you're stepping into a place you shouldn't really be and Sylvain seems to accentuate that with this secretive environment that feels almost like a cocktail lounge. The service was fantastic with the hostess seating us for our reservation right away and the waiter being incredibly patient and helpful during our dinner. We had someone in our party love the playlist here so much they asked the bartender for it as well. The menu is bold and complex but they were happy to strip it back to basics if needed. It was extremely cold in the restaurant though, so make sure to dress warm, especially in the colder months. We ordered their cast iron cornbread, chicken sandwich (no pickles or hot sauce), and their special of the night which was a pork-veal mix sausage on a milk bread bun and topped with sauerkraut. The cornbread was dry but the flavor was good. The butter they gave with it had cajun spices infused and gave it a nice zip although it was a bit too salty. Their fried chicken sandwich was delicious, light and crispy with salty shoestring fries that hit the mark. Lastly, their house special of the sausage was great. The sausage itself was well seasoned and the bun was soft and sweet. It was a bit salty with the added sauerkraut but the mix of flavors was still delicious. We also ordered a drink, just erotic not kinky, which was delicious. It's a bourbon with blackberry and lemon juice that was strong and refreshing at the same time. Sylvain is a culinary delight surrounded by an area that demands it. The food could be a tick better but it is still very, very good with fantastic service to bolster it. Whether you want a casual dinner or to drink cocktails in the French Quarter, this is a spot that is worth a look and your money, especially if you're with a big party.

The Apothecary was the cure. We grabbed seats mid bar and before we even finished settling in, there were waters waiting on the bar. That simple move already separated this place from the chaos outside. It's hospitality in its cleanest form: welcome in, take a breath, we got you. Inside is low light and old time apothecary mood, menus like a spellbook, but it's not gimmicky. The bartenders move like they've done the reps. Calm. Precise. No frantic showboating, no syrupy cover ups, no sloppy pours even with the parade energy banging on the door. We ordered two and they were both dead on. Alchemist Elixir: pea flower gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon. It shows up pale violet with an orchid on the rim and yes it's pretty, but it's also disciplined. Floral without tasting like perfume. Bright without being sour. A drink that makes you slow down. Plus a magic chemists surprise. Corpse Reviver #2: local gin, Lillet Blanc, Grand Marnier, absinthe, fresh lemon. Cold, crisp, citrus first, then the herbal edge and just enough absinthe to remind you what city you're in. Served in a textured coupe with a cherry skewer, details handled like they actually matter. Outside, the streets were selling amnesia in plastic souvenir cups. Inside, The Apothecary was serving adults. Let Bourbon Street keep the grenades. Give me the anecdote .
