I would come anytime I'm back in Santa Clara for sure. The meat is super tender and the curry compliments the food extremely well. I was left licking my fingers! Don't even get me started on the garlic naan. This was so good. I wish I could have an entire lifetime stock of this. I would recommend everyone to go here if you're in the area. We also tried the rose kulfi which was an extraordinary experience. Usually kulfi is served very anticlimactic how free the presentation blew my mind away. It made our entire experience tie together so perfectly and we all had our camera out for that!! Overall so happy with my experience at Jashn!!

We started with the Guava Chaat, which was amazing. It was served cold but was incredibly flavorful and refreshing. The Andhra Chili Chicken was another standout--a delicious take on Indo-Chinese chili chicken with bold Indian flavors. We also had the Paneer Tikka, which was incredibly soft, well-marinated, and packed with flavor. My favorite appetizer was the Vada Bao. The bao was perfectly fluffy and filled with delicious Indian-inspired flavors. We also had the lamb chops served on a hot stone, which were excellent and cooked beautifully. For the mains, the dal was good, and I especially enjoyed the saag paneer. We also tried the white butter chicken. I was expecting something more like the classic Chawla-style white chicken, but this version was richer and heavier than anticipated. It was still good, just different from what I expected. The service was attentive, the ambiance was lovely, and the food was creative and flavorful. Overall, a very enjoyable meal, and I'd definitely return to try more of the menu.

Absolutely delicious. I believe that wrap was OK but the preference would differ for other people. They had a baby chair which was good. And the place was clean. Once you go there, you get parking at the back of the building and there ample parking when we went. When you enter the restaurant, you can view the menu at the front desk, and order the food. And once the food is ready, they will bring it to your table. The staff was friendly too. A nice spot to get some Indian food.

After being seated, we waited 15-20 minutes and no one came to take our order. When we politely asked if someone could take our order, the person who responded spoke to us in a very rude and disrespectful tone. We were shocked and disappointed, especially because we are regular customers and have supported this restaurant many times. What made the experience even worse was that he told us, "Leave the restaurant, I'm the owner." I could not believe that the owner would treat customers this way. As a business owner, you should treat customers with respect and professionalism, not hostility. The customer service was completely unacceptable, and the attitude we received was extremely disappointing. We left feeling unwelcome and disrespected. Unfortunately, if I could give 0 stars, I would.

It's clean inside and plenty of natural lighting. Since we were one of two parties inside, the service was quick. I ordered the chicken tikka wrap, as I was feeling something handheld. The chicken tikka was perfectly seasoned, with a good kick of spiciness. I will say, the oil did seep through the naan wrap, so it was definitely a bit messy to eat. But the flavor was so good that it was worth it. AND, the wrap was only $14. In this economy? The prices were really reasonable. One of the best Indian restaurants I've had in the Bay, and I will be back!

Everything was just wonderful, and the food alone gets a solid five stars from me. Complex flavors, just the right amount of heat. Papadum, tandoori salmon, lamb saag, and gajar halwa were outstanding. The staff, unfortunately, looked inexperienced and standoffish. We came in at an off-peak time. The place was nearly empty, so it was not like they had their hands full. As we were going through the meal, not a single dirty plate was taken away from our table. When we finished dessert, all the used dishes from the appetizer and main course were still on the table. That was so odd. It was rather hard to get the attention of the servers. At one point, a server who had brought our dishes before was standing in the back of the room and looking straight at me. I tried to summon him first by making eye contact, then by a meek hand wave, but he redirected his look a little away from me and just continued standing there. We were brought the wrong dessert and realized that only after we started eating, but decided it would be too much hassle to get it replaced. We live very close by and will likely come back for takeout, but not for dine-in.

First off, definitely not for the spice-averse lol. Everything had a solid level of heat, but in a really flavorful way rather than just being spicy for the sake of it. The food was also plated beautifully, which made the whole experience feel a bit more elevated even though it still worked perfectly as a casual lunch spot. Service was great too - our waitress had solid recommendations and helped guide us toward a good mix of dishes (especially when it came to estimating portion sizes vs number of people in our party). No wait, smooth experience, and just a really nice, relaxed lunch vibe. The Water Chestnut and Green Pea Kulcha was my fave! Standout dishes were the mustard (shorshe) Ilish and the jackfruit with shrimp. I also liked the shukto and aam chutney. Luchi and aloo sabji (not part of the thali) was also flavorful and light. I also tasted some of their veg chowmein and loved the smoky wok he taste. After reading several positive reviews and learning that they serve Kolkata-style cuisine, we were genuinely excited to give it a try. When we arrived, the restaurant was almost full. The host greeted us warmly and asked us to wait while they cleaned a table. Within about five minutes, we were seated, which was a great start. To begin, we ordered jaljeera, fish fry, and chicken chop (cutlet). Unfortunately, the jaljeera was disappointing. It tasted like water with a little chaat masala mixed in--the bold, tangy, refreshing flavors that make a good jaljeera were completely missing. The fish fry and chicken chop, however, were excellent and easily the highlights of the meal. Both were perfectly crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside, and tasted fresh. We also ordered a double egg chicken roll. As someone who absolutely loves Kolkata-style Frankies and rolls, I was probably most excited to try this dish. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the evening. It lacked the authentic flavor we were expecting, and we honestly couldn't finish it. We ended up leaving most of it on the plate, which is something we rarely do. For our main course, we ordered mutton kosha with luchi. The gravy was flavorful, but the mutton pieces were overcooked and quite chewy, which took away from the dish. Service was another disappointment. Throughout the meal, it was difficult to get our server's attention. We had to get up from our table multiple times just to ask for assistance, which made the dining experience frustrating. Overall, I really wanted to love this place because authentic Kolkata-style food is so hard to find. While the fish fry and chicken chop were genuinely excellent, the rest of the meal and the service didn't live up to our expectations. Unfortunately, this isn't a place we'll be returning to.
