The best Kerala food I found in the Bay Area. We are waiting for their new branch to open up! Kerala Beef Meals is my favorite.

They have a wall filled with Indian artwork which made a great backdrop for pictures. **FOOD: We tried a lot of varieties, across the board the food was decent but not one dish was extraordinary which evoked a wow factor. I asked our server to suggest only the best of the their menu and this is what we got. Andhra chilli chicken-4/5- it was like an indo Chinese dish with corn starch and some Andhra chillies. Authenticity aside, the dish was delicious and lip smacking with a wonderful zip of heat. Flame grilled chicken- 4.5/5- their version of tandoori chicken. It was made well, had a good char and the flavors ran deep into the meat. The chicken was extremely tender as well. Avocado tikki-3.5/5- slightly salty. Come to think of it, the other vegetarian dish we got - water chestnut kofta was a bit salty as well. Crispy outside and very soft inside. Decent but not noteworthy. Kala mutton-3/5- the mutton was tough in parts and the gravy lacked a punch which meat normally needs. Pressure cooker chicken-3.5/5- this was Andhra style chicken gravy and it came directly to our table in a small cooker. The consistency was a bit watery and though the flavors were present it was on the milder side. Donne biryani-4/5- wonderful rich flavor, the rice absorbed the flavors wonderfully as well. Too much meat and very little rice and there was fat accumulated at the bottom. Rose Kulfi experience- Experience-5/5 Rose kulfi-3.5/5 Family enjoyed the experience of watching the liquid nitrogen convert the sweet Rabdi into icecream. We got to crush a frozen red rose into the rabdi as well before it got converted to icecream. Weak point was the cloying sweetness of the rabdi and the consistency of the icecream- parts of it were still liquid and some parts were over frozen.

Absolutely delicious. I believe that wrap was OK but the preference would differ for other people. They had a baby chair which was good. And the place was clean. Once you go there, you get parking at the back of the building and there ample parking when we went. When you enter the restaurant, you can view the menu at the front desk, and order the food. And once the food is ready, they will bring it to your table. The staff was friendly too. A nice spot to get some Indian food.

After being seated, we waited 15-20 minutes and no one came to take our order. When we politely asked if someone could take our order, the person who responded spoke to us in a very rude and disrespectful tone. We were shocked and disappointed, especially because we are regular customers and have supported this restaurant many times. What made the experience even worse was that he told us, "Leave the restaurant, I'm the owner." I could not believe that the owner would treat customers this way. As a business owner, you should treat customers with respect and professionalism, not hostility. The customer service was completely unacceptable, and the attitude we received was extremely disappointing. We left feeling unwelcome and disrespected. Unfortunately, if I could give 0 stars, I would.

The muntha masala chaat- innovative, delicious, great flavors all round. Beautiful presentation. Great brightness from the chutney combined with the sweet, earthy ,creamy flavors from the pea mash. Daal Makhani- deep rich flavor, nice hit of smoky flavor with every bite Lamb- fall off the bone lamb, very rich and tasty. But very spiced though, a little lacking compared to other dishes Almond Crusted Malai Kofta-rich tomato flavor in the curry. Wonderful texture, great bite. Second time we had this our mild request was not honored and they were medium-hot. Paneer tikka masala (mild)--good, though paneer harder texture than usual Garlic naan: the garlic butter smell was great, and taste was good Not as good: Navratam korma (medium) no mushroom--medium spicy helped this dish, as it wasn't as tasty as the others. Standout dishes were the mustard (shorshe) Ilish and the jackfruit with shrimp. I also liked the shukto and aam chutney. Luchi and aloo sabji (not part of the thali) was also flavorful and light. I also tasted some of their veg chowmein and loved the smoky wok he taste. Service was attentive and my glass of water was kept filled at all times Ambiance was calming with the silent television and instrumental music with lovely bits of decorations such as the Bankura style terracota horses near the entrance. The greeted us and made sure we were all comfortable and never rushed us in terms of ordering or needing us to leave. In fact, the staff allowed us to stay until they closed so we could relax and enjoy the company of our friends who we don't get to see often. Arch, the main server was the one who took care of us that evening. He made sure all orders were taken correctly, food was brought out timely, and we had everything we needed. We have some friends who can't handle spicy food or who are not accustomed to India food. Arch made sure their accommodations were met as well as making sure they understood the types of food they were ordering. Some of our friends are not crazy about Indian food but said they really liked this place and would come back again on their own. My husband being Bengali, the food brings back nostalgia of home. Appetizers, main courses, and various drinks were ordered. All we delicious and well prepared. After dinner, the staff played birthday music and brought out a surprise dessert for my husband which was a nice surprise! We enjoyed this place very much and were very appreciative of the extra time allowed to stay with our friends. Food was amazing, staff was very accommodating, and the vibe was very welcoming. I would highly recommend this place if you have a special occasion or just want a night out with some friends.
