The service was good but all the backed treats we got were not. I would not recommend going to this place.

Somehow, every time I've come here, the experience has been excellent. I honestly cannot remember a single bad meal. This isn't a place I visit every week or even every month. It's more of a special occasion destination every few months. Part of the reason is that every visit turns into an event. We always go for the full experience, and by the time we leave, we're completely stuffed, happy, and already talking about when we'll come back. The quality of the food is outstanding. Everything arrives hot, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Whether it's one of the signature cuts of beef, lamb, chicken, pork, or something from the Market Table, I've yet to find an item that disappointed me. Usually, by the end of the meal, I've lost track of how many different things I've tried because I'm too busy enjoying all of it. One thing that always makes me laugh is the famous red and green card system. In theory, you flip the card to green when you want more food and red when you need a break. In reality, after a few visits, the staff seems to remember what you like. I've had servers and gauchos walk by with cuts they know I enjoy and offer them before I even have a chance to flip the card. That's not a complaint. It's actually one of the reasons the experience feels so personal. The service deserves just as much praise as the food. From the moment you walk through the door, you're welcomed warmly. Throughout the meal, someone is always checking to make sure you're enjoying yourself, asking if you need anything, and making sure the experience lives up to expectations. It never feels forced or scripted. The staff genuinely seems to care that you're having a great time. We usually arrive around 5:00 or 5:30, before the dinner rush really gets going. That timing has always worked well for us and allows for a relaxed, enjoyable meal without feeling crowded or rushed. Fogo de Chão isn't inexpensive, but that's because you're getting an experience, not just a meal. Between the quality of the food, the attention from the staff, and the overall atmosphere, I've always felt like I got my money's worth. At this point, if someone asks me where to go in Providence for a memorable dinner, Fogo de Chão is always near the top of my list. Fantastic food, exceptional service, and a level of consistency that is surprisingly rare these days. Five stars without hesitation.

The venue itself felt polished and high-end from the moment we walked in. The meats were definitely the highlight of the evening -- top-tier cuts, well-seasoned, tender, and served fresh off the skewers with incredible flavor. Every selection we tried was juicy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. You can tell quality is a priority here. The salad bar had a nice variety overall, but since our reservation was at 8 PM for a party of four and the restaurant closed at 9 PM, some items were no longer fully stocked by the time we arrived. Service was also a little slower toward the end of the evening, which seemed understandable given the late reservation and closing time approaching. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant, but I'd strongly suggest booking an earlier reservation to fully enjoy the entire experience, especially the salad bar and full pace of service. Even with that, the food quality, upscale atmosphere, and outstanding meat selections still made for a very enjoyable dining experience.

The dining room is very attractive and nicely decorated, and the servers were polite, friendly, and attentive. Our drink orders were taken quickly, and the caipirinhas were both delicious. We made our first trip to the buffet and bar and there were so many choices! Hearts of palm, stuffed grape leaves, everything you could want for a salad bar, cheeses, hot sides, traditional Brazilian meat dishes, cheese rolls, fish, clam chowder and much, much more. While we were enjoying these items back at our table, we also turned our cards to green and strted experiencing the freshly sliced meats. Such a variety of beef cuts, lamb, chicken, sausage, and more. It was all super high quality, very tender, well seasoned, and I honestly don't know which were my favorites. Meat service was frequent - we were never without food and really never had to wait. They just kept coming and coming, and we kept trying more succulent meats. We finished our meal with the most delicious grilled pineapple and also the cheese with honey. Yum! Although there is a lovely dessert menu, we were too full to partake, and the pineapple and cheese hit the spot. The price for the unlimited buffet and meats is just under $50 per person, which at first seems a bit pricey, but when you look at all of the options and the quality of both the buffet and the meats, it is really a great deal! this is the third Brazilian restaurant I've been to, having been to one in Providence and one in Ogunquit, and Churrascaria Tropeiro's Grill is by far the best out of the three. I will definitely be back!

After requesting to be moved, we were placed at what seemed like a service table where staff gathered frequently. Throughout the meal, employees talked loudly about not wanting to work there and how they would rather be working in Providence. It created a very uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere. To make matters worse, we were eventually seated near two large parties of about 15 people each, making it nearly impossible to have a conversation. The music volume was also unbearable -- way too loud for a dining setting. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for the experience. The meats were rare to the point of being unappetizing, and the buffet hot items were mediocre at best. Overall, our service was good, chaotic seating, loud environment, and underwhelming food. Definitely not a place I would return to or recommend.

There was a lady putting together puzzles on one of the back tables. There was a simple typical diner menu up on the wall. The man who owned the place came up to us and said they'd stopped serving breakfast but they had a buffet available for $9.99/plate and walked us over to the place and showed us what the options were. It was a terrific arrangement of things. There are daily specials. Sunday's specials were chicken lasagna [delicious and cheesy] and a pork and bean entree with rice and another one that I can't remember (they will give you a menu to take home). There were also standard rice and beans and a few other meat dishes all of which were different and tasty. You could also make yourself a salad but I suspect the place would not be very satisfying for vegetarians. There is a cooler full of local and esoteric sodas including pineapple and regular and diet guarana sodas. We filled up a few platefuls of food while we were there and ate and talked to the friendly owner about why he did or did not stock certain brands of soda and what he suggested for dessert. We were full so we went with a few containers of take home rice pudding which were sweet and cinnamon-y and amazing. I'm not even entirely sure what I ate at this place, but I really enjoyed the variety of foods, the neat decor and the friendly atmosphere. It's across from a storefront library and otherwise not the sort of place you might think you'd find food this good.

Not a big menu at all... pretty basic breakfast options. But definitely a good value (got 2 pancakes, eggs, ham w/ cheese, bacon, homefries and coffee for around $6!). Again, limited variety for lunch, but they change up their specials everyday.

The wonderful atmosphere, good vibes, great delicious food, and awesome service all came together in perfect harmony. Your meal comes with a large house salad and bread which I greatly appreciated. We started off with the Mozambique Shrimp appetizer which is a savory, garlicky, and mildly spicy sauce. It is traditionally made by simmering butter, olive oil, copious amounts of garlic, onion, white wine, and Sazón seasoning often with saffron or annatto, finished with hot sauce or peri-peri sauce. ABSOLUTELY MIND BLOWING! For my meal, I ordered the Bitoque which is a classic, hearty Portuguese dish featuring a medium fried steak topped with a runny fried egg, served with chips, and vegetable rice, all tied together with a flavorful butter, wine, and garlic sauce. I was told it's a popular Portuguese comfort food. For dessert, I ordered my favorite Tiramisu! Light, spongy, not too sweet and the perfect combo of Expresso coffee-soaked lady fingers, creamy mascarpone, cocoa powder dusting, and whipped cream!
