First of all I have to say our waiter was amazing! This was my first time here. My daughters have been there a few times. If it had not been for the waiter I would not think of going back. Our food took forever to come out. And then when it came it was not hot. By then we were all starving and didn't want to wait for it to be re-done. We mentioned it to our server and he talked to the manager and nothing was done. Eggs Benedict cold is not good! The meal was a disappointment since we were there to celebrate my daughters birthday. If you're a brunch fan, this is the place to go. It is a quaint, little house-type of restaurant that is not only adorable, but also has a great selection of items on the menu and superb service. There was a 10 minute wait for our table, so we sat at the bar and were greeted with friendly conversation from the bartender. As we waited, I noticed all the cute little signs and decor throughout the restaurant. When we were seated, I immediately was drawn to the stuffed French toast with berries on the menu.... I ordered it and I'm so glad I did! Each and every bite had the perfect amount of cream cheese and tons of flavor. I'll be visiting again soon and recommend that you do too! read more

Impressed with the genuinely kind, helpful, and friendly staff, not with the food. Salt is on the menu. Corned beef hash is salty. Salmon hash is too; not so much in the salmon but oddly enough in one-third of the potatoes on my plate which tasted like an open shaker of salt was used. I spat them into my napkin. The other potatoes, bell peppers, and onions were not as salty. The butter on the gluten-free English muffin was saltier yet. It was all I could take. Overall the food did not impress. Basted eggs were good although a bit browned around the edges. The gluten-free English muffin itself was probably the best tasting one I've had but the butter made it not worth eating. It's also disappointing to find packets of Smuckers jelly (corn syrup) on any table which would have added insult to injury if I had used. The coffee was tasty. The menu had a nice selection of coffee and other non-coffee drinks. Each water glass could serve 4 people. Honestly, who drinks that much water at or with breakfast? The place is large enough and when we left there was a waiting list already (9 am). Moderately quiet atmosphere even though it was busy. I was not impressed when looking at the food on other diner's plates. We went here because it's local and the reviews were good. Not vegan or Celiac friendly. I would seek a better breakfast elsewhere. My blood pressure will thank me. read more

We found this place the first morning we were in town. We're hitting it up for the rest of the trip. Great food, great service, and perfect for breakfast! Update after day 3: We really enjoyed everything about eating here each morning. Very friendly staff, the food comes out quickly and is executed very well. Over the past few days we have had the pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, and homemade corned beef hash. It was all as good as it could get (as breakfast goes)! I'm really happy to see this cute cafe here in Arvada!!! Hubs had the bfast burrito with ham and spicy green chili. I had to try it of course and while the Chile was not spicy at all, it had a pretty decent flavor. I personally loved it. Coffee is average. Hubs says bring on more spice dang it!! But otherwise pretty good. I had the chicken sausage and eggs basted with potatoes and English muffin. I was very pleased with all my flavors and almost perfect baste on the eggs. Service was very fast and very friendly. All in all we will be back as often as we can afford to come. read more

We wandered into this local café after a sports event at the nearby Catholic school. We had an excellent late brunch on a Saturday afternoon. We tried the chili Rellenos and eggs, breakfast scramble, lemon blueberry pancakes, and a Cuban sandwich with fries. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. This was my go-to breakfast place, but not anymore. Last time I found a hair in my fruit and dirty silverware, this time I was told 25 minute wait for 1 person and it was 40 minutes. Was served my Traditional Benedict that came out with minimal hollandaise and a poached egg that was laying on the side of the muffin. Not to mention it wasnt very warm and the fruit cup I ordered was definitely old fruit. The server was nice and brought me another which I could tell looked a bit better but was also old. We have been to Breadwinners a few times for brunch and it is such a great option. Good location, good food, lots of options, comfortable environment, and wonderful service. Writing a review this time b/c my family went for brunch today and the service was just extra great. We have a 1 year old and I asked for the eggs from my breakfast on a separate plate for my daughter. The server brought them out first, added some applesauce and was just very considerate. First time here as we are relatively new to Arvada/Colorado. The service was great. Since we hadn't been here the server brought us a few fries to try with their homemade hollandaise sauce- so delicious! Was excited to check this place out because we heard great things. We thought it was maybe a 6/10. The wait was long (no problem there) but once we were seated the wait for food was much longer. Some things came out hot some things came out borderline cold. Service was pretty good. Food wasn't great. The country fried steak had a mineral flavor, the chicken tenders tasted store bought/frozen (maybe they were?) and breakfast burrito was meh. We decided we'll give it one more chance down the road but definitely wasn't impressed. They do have an atmosphere that is welcoming for kids though. read more

Breakfast. In my book, the best meal you can have in a day. One could argue... how bad can you screw up eggs? I tend to have my favorite places so decided to try and vary the locations a bit so that is how I found Breadwinners! Guess how I found it? Hehe... yup, Yelp! :) I had to go with the staple with a slight variation. Just scrambled eggs, sausage but then also had to try the biscuits with sausage gravy. Quite good! Have I mentioned that I love breakfast? For Arvada, this seems to be a local favorite. We only had to wait a few minutes. Great place for lunch! My parents and I are in the neighborhood of old Arvada and thought we would try this place out. They were very accommodating as we had our dog with us. They have a wonderfully extensive menu and they serve breakfast all day! A great plus in my opinion. We tried this French dip a hamburger and a short stack of their sweet cream pancakes. Upon coming in we found the atmosphere cool and inviting, an old house turned eatery. The interior was updated and Cozy with a great patio. We were a party of five. They initially tried to seat us in a small room off the main dinning room near the bathroom and it was separated from the rest of the restaurant. We could smell the bathrooms from the table so, I asked to move to a different seat that hadn't been bussed yet. they accommodated but didn't seem very happy at the request. The menu had lots of items on it with a variety of your typical fair for old town Arvada. Eggs Benedict, omelettes, hamburgers, and sandwiches again very common for the area. Upon ordering the wait was excessively long but the food came out hot and cooked as ordered. The food was very good. Our server was good but not friendly at all, not rude either, just not very friendly. I think this is a solid good restaurant C+ overall... food A-friendly staff D+, they could use some training help as the overall staff isn't the friendliest. In fact we kind of felt like a bit of a nuisance to them. But the food is good and prices are good. I would go here again. But, if you're in any kind of a hurry I would go elsewhere. read more

Maybe they were too busy and I did notice that they had a sign on their door saying they're looking to fill several positions, but the food came out and wasn't very warm, and didn't see the waitress for a while. Very mediocre brunch food. I had a benedict with bacon with potatoes and everything tasted overly salted. And the cheese on the muffins was a slice of cheese, possibly processed? I'm not sure if I had the normal chef, because everyone is raving about this place. But I couldn't finish my plate. The waitress was super nice and attentive. The prices were okay I guess if you can finish your plate and the coffee is decent. I would try somewhere else for brunch. read more

A favorite breakfast spot for me! They have an early morning happy hour for those "hair of the dog" mornings and the food is always good. There can be a bit of a wait on weekends but it's worth it as the seevice is great once you're seated. Poor customer service. We ate breakfast on a weekday and was seated immediately on the patio. It took over 5 minutes before our waitress greeted us. She was not pleasant with any of her interactions with us. I thought it might have been an off day for her but then as I was leaving the restaurant and was having difficult finding the exit from the patio another server blocked me from entering the inside dining area and rudely stated where the patio exit was. Breadwinners reminds me of a breakfast restaurant from the 80's. The menu is outdated, they use margarine instead of butter, which gives all the food a disgusting flavor. The decor is dark, drab and depressing. They also can't get a basic order right, like making over easy eggs instead of scrambled. I decided to give this place a second chance after being disappointed the first time, but with all the great breakfast restaurants around town, I don't think I'll be coming here again. read more

Nice find. Friendly staff, beautiful decor, and nice atmosphere. We stopped for breakfast, which the serve all day, on our way to Vail. The coffee was tasty and hot. The menu had a nice selection. We were the only patrons under 60, but the place was busy, and it was a rainy weekday at noon. We ordered breakfast, since we took a very early flight from San Jose, and not eaten. Excellent breakfast accompanying a bottle of champagne (yes FRENCH blanc de blanc) in an iced bucket with a (14 oz) pitcher of orange juice to mix your own mimosas. Our waitperson, Gemaye, was attentive and accommodating. Our breakfasts: A huge (maybe 20 oz) bowl of steel cut oatmeal with fresh blueberries, sliced bananas, chopped nuts, and pitcher of milk; smoked salmon-potato-pepper-onion hash with 2 eggs cooked to order and sour dough toast. It was a mixed bag for our table of six. The latte was comparable to a powdered mix. Some of the food was good, some was not. What makes this a 1 star is the menu having GF bread but not made to be GF. They are NOT GF friendly! Ask for GF toast, it's not cooked in the same toaster as all the bread. Seriously, what's the point of offering GF bread if you toast it with a gluten crusted toaster? There is no effort to avoid cross contamination in all of the kitchen.
