Checked out Bread Zeppelin this weekend and I'm a fan. I'm not a big "salad" person but if you chop that salad up and smash it into a hollowed out baguette - I'm listening! I created my own masterpiece and was really impressed with the variety and freshness of the ingredients available. I tried this place yesterday. 2/3/15. I had the Lone Star Zeppelin. It was really good. I enjoyed the meal so much, I bought one to take home to my wife. She also enjoyed it. We need more healthy choices around us for lunch and dinner. And even though the calories weren't available at this time, it felt like I was eating a healthy lunch. Count me addicted. It's a great concept that is fresh and consistently executed. The zeppelin way is good, but for lasting satisfaction, go for the bowl. I'm stuck on the Southwest with corn changed to jalapenos. Just the right zip. I started with this location after it opened, but also frequent Irving now too. Keep up the great work! read more

The Irving location is the original and still better. I have noticed they have been starting to get more stingy with their portions. I preferred when they gave you a whole chicken breast- $10 for a big salad I liked that experience. Great salads and subs though! read more

My lone star zeppelin was so good. Make sure you ask them to Not chop everything up so much. Also ask them to really hollow out the bread, that way you get only the good crusty bread but not all the carbs. One more thing, tell them not to go overboard with the dressing. This place is an absolute must! I must have my shanghai zeppelin with balsamic vinegar at least twice a week. Not only is a zeppelin the best of both worlds, the bread that you do eat it the most amazing crunchy chewy bread combination ever. Neat spot with an innovative idea: Salad stuffed into a hollowed piece of bread. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich w bleu cheese. Though it was tasty, the bread to stuffing ratio left me unsatisfied. Hated getting mouthfuls of only bread, and having the roof of my mouth scraped by dry bread is a personal pet peeve of mine. My female coworkers loved the place, as they weren't particularly keen on eating the excess of bread as usual. They attacked it with a fork and ate the filling while taking some bread bites as needed - probably the best way to consume these subs. Menu is extensive with many suggested options and a "make it your way" option, but the actually sandwiches need a little tweaking to get the ratios right. Cheap, delicious, and a fun spot to grab lunch. They're super fast, and their stuff is healthy and interesting. They have chicken and steak options, but for my vegetarian friends there is tofu and my peski friends have a shrimp option. Bread Zeppelin is the very best place to get a super fresh salad. The crew is sharp and fast. We eat here at least once a week and our two favorites are the Kale-ifornia and the SW Chicken. I do not eat meat so it is so refreshing to see great vegetarian and vegan options. The bread is delicious and perfect every time. Not into to bread? Just have a bowl. This place has big portions, I only finished half of mine. I did a salad bowl bc I wanted to see what how their chicken tasted before I moved into the bread bowl. Chicken was flavorful! This us the only place I know about that has people waiting outside the door when it opens at 11 am each day . Very disappointing salad, the Metro Cobb. Priced at over $11, I expected healthy greens and plentiful toppings. What I got was mostly iceberg lettuce and skimpy toppings. Since the Metropolitan Cobb Dressing was not gluten-free, I got ranch dressing. It was flavorless, and I had to keep adding salt and pepper to try to create some zest. I will not eat at Bread Zeppelin again. For that much money, I can go to a sit-down restaurant and get an absolutely fabulous cobb salad, or another delicious salad with tangy, zesty dressing. read more

BZ is the best. I'm obsessed with this place--I go 2-3 times a week. It's a fresh-made salad stuffed into a steaming hot baguette. Need I say more? The southwest zeppelin with chipotle ranch is my favorite, but the caesar is also really good. You can also get the hot insides and end pieces of the baguette for no extra charge. They're great for dipping into their soups! The Carrollton location is THE best and always has a line out the door. Hunter and Ryan make this place a standout with their excellent customer service. I went there for lunch with a lady friend of mine. I thought the service was good, the layout of the restaurant was excellent, but the food itself was incredibly average. They basically took the least desirable part of bread, the crust, and replaced the appetizing part, the center bread, and replaced it with freaking salad. Not the best idea in the world, but the name of the restaurant got me to try it. Fantastic name. read more
