This place has everything!!! The atmosphere is beautifully decorated and has a colorful fresh vibe. The food and drink menu is also exciting and inventive. We also met the owner Amy and she was super friendly and her staff was also very inviting. They have everything from bowling to dining and even a night club they open up later in the night. They even have numerous large screen televisions, perfect for watching your favorite sports on. So if your looking for a fun exciting restaurant and bar that has big screen TVs, a bowling alley, and even a night club at night I would highly recommend stopping in Break Point. We spent the evening today at break point for the first time, we saw it passing by the place and we do love to bowl so we decided to give it a shot. I'm glad we did ! The food that was served was fresh and delicious, the staff is very welcoming. I want to dedicate this review to our sweet waiter Izzy, she was lovely, she handled our tab was super professional and helpful, even though wee had some issues with the bowling lane, we didn't get Frustrated at all because she immediately helped us out. I came here for my first time during COVID from a recommendation from a friend who highly promotes this place. The first few times I ate here it was so good. Amazing vibe, trivia, and the best salad. Loved this place! Much different than most other spots in PB in agood way. Antonio our bartender made us some of the best spicy margaritas I've had. He also reccommended some food to us that ended up being phenomenal! The ahi sandwich and the so-cal bowl with jackfruit, which I was a little hesitant to order at first, but ended up bsing a great decision. I didn't get a chance to bowl, but I will definitely come back to check that out. I really liked how they designed the place. There are all sorts of cool lights around the place and it's very open, almost like one huge room, but still a huge place with a big bar in the middle, bowling, a HUGE dance floor with a DJ, and dining. Ahh breakpoint the newest fun spot in PB. From what I know, they actually opened up right before the pandemic hit. With that being said, our first time there was last night and we had fun! Much like other spots around town it seems like they are still working to find they're way about it. We went at 7pm on a Friday night, it was actually pretty mellow which was nice and we were able to get a bowling lane rather quickly. The one and only server they had was on point. I don't know how he did it, but by the time we left when the place was a lot busier, he was able to successfully manage each table and the lanes. Not only that, but he remembered our orders to a T. The service was great!! While the bowling was admittedly pricey, $50/hr we did have fun. Most importantly the food...the food was pretty freaking delicious! I Highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich. It was the size of my face!!!! And super delicious, probably the best one I've ever had. My fiance had the SoCal bowl, she loved it...and also my chicken sandwich. We also had the chicken bites, both spicy and sweet, but maybe could have used a dipping sauce of some kind. The brussel sprouts were also really good and and HUGE!! The only thing we weren't too crazy about was the calamari...basically there's better anywhere else. I held my son's 5th birthday here. I paid a $240 deposit and additional $1k on food and drinks only to have the manager (who is also the owner) micromanaging the party for the entire two hours. From the second my husband and I arrived to set up she was coming over to us to critique our every move and warning that the lanes we had paid for were finicky so we need to watch the kids closely (she then later was incredibly rude and negative when the lane had the glitch which from other reviews appears to happen frequently). Even with advanced notice of our 24 person party they did not staff appropriately to handle our party size. They had one server for us and all the other guests. They did not bus the tables once in the two hours we were there and constantly interrupted to complain that the kids were eating candy and "making a mess" even though they didn't come by to take anyone's empty plates or glasses the entire time. They also charged a 20% gratuity which is the highest I have seen be enforced (I would have happily tipped 20% if we had any decent standard of service). Would not recommend coming for families, which the owner also communicated that it is not really a place for kids when I reserved it in the first place- seems not only discriminatory but poor judgment for any establishment that is running a bowling alley that is not designated as 21+. read more

Rude and racist hostesses for our visit on July 9, 2021 at 5pm. First time to this place and entered with two friends (all of us people of color) through one of the many spaces between the pillars from the front patio/outside along the sidewalk. We walked to the restroom first and the hostess ran over to block the restroom door from us. With a negative attitude she said, "restrooms are for customers only!" I said, "okay we plan on getting drinks." She replied with an ugly look on her face, "I don't think so, I mean you didn't even come in through a door!" I explained it was our 1st time here and we entered where we saw an opening but it was clear that with this white hostess and us being the only 3 people of color in the place, she had made negative assumptions, stereotyped us, and then discriminated us. Really gross experience. We immediately left and went to Backyard Kitchen down the street who were super friendly and professional and even brought us extra agave for our pitcher of sangria because she overheard us wishing it were a tad sweeter. People of color, stay away from this place if you want to ensure you have a safe and fun time! read more

Then tried to book for next day and the online system was freezing and not user friendly. Sad because the place looks cool but can't even book a lane in person and the website is trash. We are PB locals and have been to Break Point a few times. We invited another family to join us last night and the place did not disappoint. The adults and kids had a great time! The owner was very helpful about finding a time where we could book 2 consecutive hours and Erin was an amazing server. She was super friendly and quick with our drinks and food. I came here on a Saturday night and right after I sat down and got my drink I was informed that I either had to pay $35 or leave pretty much right away because some special event was happening in 5 minutes. Some weird animal dress up thing. Why I was let in the door 5 minutes before the event without being told this, I have no idea. Even the staff mentioned they didn't really know about it until it was happening. My boyfriend and I then proceeded to drink our drinks as fast as we could. Worse customer service for a place that is starting the business!!!we came to check out the place not realizing that after 5pm it's only for 21+ crowd. The guy who saw us at the door without greeting us asked for ID and when we told him we didn't have it, just kicked us out. Well, I get that they have rules and protocol to follow - but there is a nice way of saying "no" and explain the policies- no need to be a jerk and treat people like "trash". That how we felt after interacting with workers at this place for only 5 min. I waited an hour to reserve a lane I had specifically asked to fit a certain number of people, and after waiting an hour having invited everyone to this establishment they change their story and would only let half of us bowl. We always enjoy hanging out here - great cocktails and great food! Latest visit was for the Super Bowl - their huge screen in the room behind the bar is awesome. My buddy had the sliders and loved them. I had the fried chicken sandwich and my wife had the flatbread, and they were both great. Our party came for Saturday lunch, and if this is the new normal, then I know this will be a spot that I can come back to again and again. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and I felt at ease because the space is bright, spacious, and definitely COVID-compliant (unlike other places in PB). The staff was attentive and hygienic, and the chatter from the bowling lanes and other customers reminded me of the joys of eating out again. I am looking forward to coming back again. Perfect thing to do in San Diego with a bunch of teenagers where mom and dad can have a few drinks and we can all eat excellent food while we bowl, we got the impossible burger, ahi tuna tacos, Carne Asade fries, wings and fish and chips, everything was good and plentiful portions. Customer service was top notch, Gyannah was our waitress and she was so friendly and on the ball with everything, helping us move tables when it was our turn to bowl then back to another table after bowling for dessert, we didn't feel rushed or in the way at all.
