Huge serving of soft serve and takoyaki! Unique flavors like matcha and strawberry horchata soft serve and fillings (we got the matcha custard). The matcha itself is not very sweet (which I like). We also tried the lychee strawberry green tea boba which was alright. Overall it's a conveniently casual shop with limited seating but plenty of outdoor seating and areas to walk around.

Absolutely delicious! I had the coffee soft serve with custard taiyaki, and Olivia had the taro soft serve with Nutella taiyaki. Both were amazing. The shopping center is cute and full of interesting places to explore, with lots of sweet and savory options nearby. Such a fun day in Riverside--we'll definitely be back!

This place is so cute! From the decor to the food. The man making the fish was so adorable. He was energetic and peppy when serving us. We ordered the Hokkaido boba. Okay. 3/5 Taiyaki with filling (Nutella, taro, custard, red bean, Oreo) 3/5. Taiyaki with ice cream ( strawberry ice cream and red bean filling) I very much enjoyed it 5/5 Plenty of space to eat outside. They do have a couple of seats to sit inside. Overall would come again.

Came on a Saturday evening. Wasn't busy at all. They offer the kiosk or the register to order. The kiosk different offer everything on the menu. So ordered at the register. The staff was rude didn't really care. First time here and I wanted to know what the best selling ice cream was but they answered with one word. But overall the place is clean. So many items to choose from. The serving size is was too much for a child, so just be mindful. We weren't able to finish one serving size. Also the chocolate ice cream was already melting by the time we got it. Which was weird. But the strawberry and horchata swirl was really good. Chocolate was decent just didn't like how it was melting. Would definitely come back.

Break the Ice is a local dessert place in Riverside county with a Korean flair. We stopped by for dessert after a big lunch to satisfy our craving for boba. Their signature item is the taiyaki ice cream reminiscent of Somi Somi. We ordered the horchata/strawberry milk and taro/matcha taiyaki ice cream. The consistency of the ice cream was not creamy or rich but more icy, and so it wasn't as good as it appears. Super aesthetic though! In terms of cleanliness, customer service, and atmosphere, it is a nice quiet shop with ice cream or boba options. However, I didn't think the quality of the ice cream was better than Somi Somi or specialty ice cream places.

Needed a late night treat, came here, and the place was jumping. Ordered at the kiosk and waited for my order. Everything was very efficient and tasted lovely. Great way to spend a summer evening and plenty of outdoor seating. Plus, there are many eateries, in this area, with lots of options.

A friend and I were in the area and wanted a sweet treat. I saw in the window that they sold boba and taiyaki, which I was surprised about. We went in, there are two entrances, side and the front. There was bar seating and tables inside as well as patio seating outside. The shop looks like your typical ice cream shop, with blue, white, and yellow accents along the walls and decor. It looks very sweet. The servers greeted us when we came in and said to let them know if we had any questions. The menu is on a wall and there are alot of options. There's the taiyaki, soft serve, milk tea, fruit tea, and smoothies. I chose the speciality drink (lavender with taro wave boba) and my friend the Thai tea with 2 piece taiyaki with Nutella filling. We didn't wait too long for our orders. There is also a restroom inside. I really like my drink but it very sweet and there was a lot of boba in it. Not too bad and the taiyaki was good but very gooey.

Came here for a sweet treat after having a hard day. Instant pick-me-up! The employee was energetic, enthusiastic, and kind! He helped us right away, and even offered a recommendation. He was also very quick/efficient, as he had both of our drinks and taiyaki ice creams out in under five minutes! We tried to tip but there wasn't an option in the tablet, so we went to the ATM at Ralph's to get cash for a tip haha Everything was delicious! The strawberry milk tea and Thai tea were flavorful, yet not overly sweet- just right. The Vietnamese coffee ice cream was strongly caffeinated, which I appreciated the energy boost! And the Taro ice cream was very refreshing in the hot weather! The taiyakis even came with Pocky/Pepero sticks and some mochi :) With the taiyaki cart decor and the many Nutella jars on display, the cafe is cute and cozy! It really is as their cups say: "the best bubble tea in town"

First time trying taiyaki and it was delicious! It came out hot and fresh and had a nice crisp. I had mine with Nutella filling. A friend ordered the horchata ice cream and I tasted that as well. Let me start off by saying this... This place is life changing! I was originally in the mood for cold Stone ice cream. However, me and my fiancé were just a little lazy and wanted to hit somewhere closer to home. So I happened to look up this place called break the ice and wenwalked in there not doing anything About this place. I ordered the taiyaki filled with Nutella and the cookie butter ice cream. The ice cream was just so soft and creamy and the taiyaki was really soft on the inside with a little crispy on the outside and it was just the perfect amount of sponginess. it was just overall so delicious. I wish I could've ordered another one to take home and eat. This is now my favorite place and I will be bringing friends and family back here. read more

This place is amazing! So far everything I have tried as been great. My favorite is the strawberry black fruit tea with boba and handmade cream. It's beyond delicious and I love the fresh strawberries in it. The cream is really tasty and completes the drink. The taiyakis are really good too. I love the Nutella, chocolate, and mozzarella cheese! I highly recommend this place. It's in a nice shopping center where it's nice to sit or walk around. The inside of the store is very beautiful, clean, and spacious. read more

Very tasty taiyaki! It's nice to have one nearby in the Riverside area. Taro flavor wasn't the best in my opinion but I will come back again to try another flavor! Loved this place!!! So happy to finally have a good Taiyaki place in Riverside. I am absolutely addicted to red bean and it did not disappoint! My little ones wanted vanilla flavor and it was suggested we try the milk flavor the kids loved it. Only downside was the cups were too much for the little ones. My husband got a smoothie and loved it but forgot to say no boba. Overall loved this place and will definitely be back! read more

This was quite an experience. If you live near by this store, you must check this place out. The owner couple will greet you with smile and you leave with happiness in your mouth and heart a like. I didn't have much space in my stomack after lunch but Taiyaki was well served. Everything looks so new that I guess it's a newly opened store. Found this place on Yelp tonight. Had to give it a try since I'm a somi somi fan. I wasn't expecting much because I've had other taiyaki places that weren't as good as somi somi but this place was good! I was very happy and surprised to find somewhere nearby and easily accessible. The place is clean and the staff was very kind. Prices were decent and the ice cream was good. The taiyaki was perfectly shaped unlike other experiences we've had. We went basic today with chocolate and vanilla swirl but I'm excited to try different flavors. We'll be coming back over and over. Was so excited we forgot to take pictures! read more

From the moment she walked in, she seemed frustrated and was speaking to the employees with a lot of attitude. The staff, however, stayed calm, respectful, and professional the entire time. They handled the situation really well and were very kind to me when it was my turn. Customer service goes both ways. The team didn't deserve the tone they were given, and I think they did their best to accommodate her while still following closing procedures. When I ordered, everything was made correctly and the staff was friendly. The only thing I noticed was that they were starting to clean up since it was close to closing time, which is pretty normal for any business. Overall, my experience was positive and I'll definitely continue coming here.

Prices are on the high side, true, but I have a juicer at home and buying fresh veggies, citrus, parsley, etc al., that adds up fast, so the prices are actually fair for periodic visits. Otherwise, there are zero frills at any location and by design most are take-out oriented. Occasionally they're backed up with online and walk-in orders, but it's the overall quality that matters most to me.

I will say the smoothie was super yummy and I would give it a 5/5. I would come back just to try their other smoothie flavors! We also ordered an açaí bowl and I would give the açaí bowl a 3/5. I felt that the granola was not super crunchy and it was borderline slightly stale. While I love when places put a lot of granola, I felt that there was too much granola compared to actual açaí. I also felt that the bananas and strawberries were too ripe for my liking. However it was a decent açaí-just not something super special or great. Finally, the sandwich was yummy but definitely a bit burnt. Didn't complain but something that the employees can work on in the future. The sandwich would have been way better if it wasn't burnt. Overall, a solid place with plenty of good food/drinks choices. Nothing mind-blowing or extremely spectacular. The smoothie, however, was very delicious and I would come back just to try their other smoothie flavors/drinks.

I had a Raspberry Dream Cream cone, a blend of delicious homemade raspberry sherbet and vanilla ice cream. The crisp tanginess of the sherbet and the rich vanilla were a perfect combo. I also bought a pint of Monkey Business which is banana ice cream with caramel and brownie bites. I had to force myself to put the container in the back of the freezer so I wouldn't eat the whole thing in one sitting! The service was quick and very friendly. The server seemed genuinely delighted to describe the ingredients in each flavor that interested me. My only wish is that they had someplace to sit down and enjoy the ice cream. There is only a service window and it's up to the customer to find some place to sit. Eating my cone in the car on a nice day like today wasn't so bad, but I wouldn't want to have to do it in the heat of summer. I'm glad that Handel's is way over on the other side of town, or I would be there every day working my way through the menu.

Their coffee, tea, and baked goods are fantastic, but the main reason I love this place is because it's very cozy and the perfect place to read, study, catch up with a friend, or go on a date. They have a special, themed menu that changes every month. There is almost always seating available. They have a small book exchange, often sell local art, have cute merch, and just opened up a bakery right next door with extra seating. I'm kind of a snobbish third-wave coffee person and although this place isn't trying to be that way, it still is my favorite spot because of the overall vibe, how genuinely kind and down to earth the baristas are, and how comfortable it is. A lot of coffee shops are so brightly lit and trying to be hipster still in 2026, but this place is just kind of homey and the classic cozy coffee shop we all want to go to. It comes with grilled chicken, lettuce and tomato, all on a toasted sourdough bread covered with pesto and cheese. For the side I typically get the Italian pasta salad, which is always delicious. One thing about this sandwhich is that the chicken will never cover the entire bread and it will never be distributed evenly. So you will always have one half that has less chicken and ends up being part veggie pesto sandwhich, which is still worth it. The other favorite is a turkey club sandwhich on a croissant. It's basic, but also very tasty. They also carry a variety of pastries and serve Klatch coffee (brewed coffee) if you need a sweet treat afterward.

As far as options go, I think there's a decent selection of more unique syrups for coffees. They do change it up throughout the year. The drinks here are definitely more of a premium price point, but I think they're generally good. On this particular trip, I wanted to try their new syrup flavor (it was some form of orange zest, or something similar?), but noticed my latte had no real flavor in it after a few sips. Upon looking at the receipt, the person who took my order just gave me a regular cafe latte and didn't add the syrup I requested. The coffee was fine, but I would have liked trying something new. I have gotten several of their food options before, and I think that some of them are well-priced for the portion and some can be more on the expensive side. I think the avocado toast was pretty robust and was a good value. The steak and eggs are somewhat hit or miss, and I have had it multiple times. The cut of the meat can be chewy at times, and then also more lean and tender other times. Sometimes it comes with large pieces of chewy fat, which isn't quite to my taste. The sandwich options generally are a good value. I do kind of wish they switched up their menu a bit more often, since this current menu is rather basic and they have had more interesting food options before. Overall, a decent choice for a more premium coffee, tea, and food for the Downtown/UCR area of Riverside. Service is okay, and I have had somewhat mixed experiences with that. The employees generally seem pleasant and they're nice, but I have gotten incorrect orders at least a couple of times. During this particular visit, in which the photos are from, I had to ask two different people to get extra napkins. Our actual server was the first to acknowledge, then possibly forgot and didn't come back.
