Perfect beach-casual breakfast spot to fuel up before a day in the sun. Waffles are made-to-order, with sprinkles or chocolate chips inside and out, or for a more traditional taste, covered in strawberries and Nutella. Whatever your taste, the waffles are light a fluffy inside, with the classic Belgian crisp form. The breakfast sandwiches come with an option of bacon or sausage, with a thick egg scramble and cheese on croissant, bagel or English muffin. The coffee and espresso are tasty, and they have hot cocoa for the kids. Friendly service, and nice outdoor covered dining make this spot a great choice for a cool breezy morning in Pismo. Next time I'm in town, we'll definitely come try more of the menu.

We loved this little place in Pismo. We found it through yelp and really wanted some cool ice cream. We went in and don't be alarmed if you don't see the ice cream out and about (we were expecting that). The ice cream specials are on the menu so just look there. They were super nice to us and there was a cute patio we sat in to continue watching the car show taking place outside. Would come back!

This is a cute little casual cafe with a nice seating area outdoors. I had the smoked salmon toast and it was pretty tasty. The biggest drawback is that there is no restroom, even for paying customers. I asked, and was told that we would have to go down and use the public restrooms at the pier. This seems a little odd to me, as they serve food and drink. Also, it is quite breezy hence the name so prepare accordingly :)

Cute little coffee shop. I got a latte with vanilla and caramel, it was good. My daughter got a slice of their peach cobbler, she loved it. I liked it, i thought it was a bit chewy instead of crispy. I did love that they had tables right outside and they're right next door to Pismo Beach Hotel.

What a fun stop for breakfast. A+ rating for the selection of waffles. Limited seating both indoors and a beautiful outdoor seating area that is pet friendly. The service was top notch. If you are a tourist looking for an adventure I recommend parking down at Grover Beach. You can walk the Beach to Pismo (25 minutes) the stop at Breezeway in Pismo for breakfast and then walk back. You can either walk on the beach or the boardwalk. If you don't feel up to a walk you can park right by the cafe although be aware it can get busy during heavy traffic times.

I went to Breezeway Cafe this morning for breakfast I always thought they just served coffee, but turns out they have a ton of delicious breakfast options. Everything on the menu looked so good, but I went with the small biscuits & gravy, a half waffle, and the half churro waffle. The biscuits & gravy were a win! I'm usually picky about them, but the gravy was flavorful with little chunks of sausage (I think ) and the biscuit was spot on. My regular waffle with powdered sugar was fluffy and perfect-- not too crispy, not too soft, just right. The churro waffle stole the show though... cinnamon, sweet cream, and a glaze that was chef's kiss. I will definitely eat here again.

This is cute breakfast spot in Pismo Beach. I had the breakfast burrito with grilled chicken and avacado and it was delicious . The latte was also very good. My only complaint is that there was no restroom and only about 6 tables inside and outside.

Save your money! Pretty bad for what you're paying for! Got a bowl with tatter tots and was just slop on the plate, didn't even wanna finish it. Good vanilla latte though!

One of the best breakfast spots around! We've been to Breezeway Café a handful of times now, and it's always solid. The food is great, the menu has plenty to choose from, and the staff has been consistently polite every time we've visited. Not only do they have a great breakfast selection, but also fancy coffees and a variety of ice cream! We love sitting outside, even when it's chilly. I mean, come on, it's Pismo!! We don't mind, we love it. Plus, it's tucked just off the main street, so it's a little more peaceful and away from all the foot traffic. Definitely worth a stop.

One of the best breakfast spot! Very quick and personal service! They have sitting arrangement outside which is like cherry to cake!!

Staff were super friendly and our food was delicious. The breakfast sandwich is $7.95 which in my opinion is pretty cheap, and it was tasty. We were all satisfied with our meals. However, they skimped out on the drinks... a third of it was whipped cream before even taking a sip. The outdoor seating is pretty spacious and next to the Pismo Beach Hotel. They don't have public restrooms but the Pismo Beach pier is a short couple minutes walk away.

Small cafe with outdoor seating. Staff were super nice. Lox avocado toast was good. Lots of avocado and smoked salmon. I also grabbed a peach cobbler from the fridge and they offered to warm it up for me with ice cream, so we ended up having dessert for breakfast, which was awesome. My friend got the southwest burrito and it looked pretty good. Pretty large portion.

Thanks to Yelp I found this cute café close to Pismo Beach Pier to start a long relaxing day at the beach. Friendly and quick service, nice outdoor seating areas and both food and drinks came out very quickly. The kid size waffle was cute with whip cream and powdered sugar and sprinkles on top (big hit for my kid!) My cold Chai tea was excellent. Will definitely go back. Oh one thing- no public restroom available but there are plenty in the pier area. read more

The location is very convenient. It is near the pier. Breezeway Cafe not only offer breakfast items, but also offer desserts. I ordered the Banella and it was so good!! The customer service was amazing! The lady that helped us was really nice and truly made our order with love aka she hooked it up!! Without a doubt, this place is great. Environment was cozy. I recommend to try at least one time. read more

Paid by card and dined outside. Breezeway is located on the street and offers street parking. I found this place on Yelp and while walking around. They offer a lot of breakfast options and the cashiers are nice. It doesn't look like there's a lot of seating when you first walk in but they have a whole outside patio area. You order first then the servers will bring you the food. I got the churro waffle, oatmeal, dirty spiced Chai, and tried some of the breakfast burrito. Everything was pretty good, and the food came out fairly quickly. I wouldn't say anything really stood out from the other. If you're in the area and are looking for breakfast I would try this place. read more

Breezeway is on the main drag. Parking was surprisingly easy, probably because it is metered at $4 an hour! You order with the super friendly and helpful cashier, find a seat at their outdoor patio, and they bring your food out to you. Ordered a gluten free churro waffle with a side of tots and bacon. The bacon tasted twice cooked (reheated) and was a bit on the tough side. The tots were perfectly crisp. The gluten free waffle was great covered in cinnamon and sugar. Prices are tourist price, but that is to be expected based on their location. read more

Delicious food and drinks. I got a dirty chai latte and Bacon Bagelwich, which I inhaled. Food is great, service is excellent, and the outdoor patio seating was the cherry on top. Highly recommend coming here for a breakfast bite, as I will come back the next time I'm in the area! read more

Almost 4 stars, please note the review is based on take out which tastes differently from freshly made food, so when you're dining in, your experience should be better. Came here for a breakfast and ordered the chicken waffle, strawberry waffle and a breakfast sandwich. The waffles were crispy but the straberry made it soggy when we got back to the hotel (not their fault). The breakfast sandwich was similar to McDonalds but had better ingredient, but lacks some seasoning/spices, then again, very few people would in the mood for spicy breakfast. The only gripe is the chicken tenders were not great, too much breading and felt like it was from costco. Overall I'd visit again when in town. read more

This was such a cute spot and the service was great. The cashier was really friendly and attentive. I got my order in about 15 minutes. They have an outdoor patio area and it's pretty spacious. Veggie burrito- this burrito did not disappoint- so good!! The flavor was amazing and I loved it. It was a little heavy on the cheese for me, but that didn't stop me from eating it. They weren't stingy on any of the ingredients too- I could actually see the avocado, haha! I got the house aioli on the side and I found it super helpful, so the burrito didn't get as soggy. I didn't order any of the waffles, but I did see some being served and they looked really really good! I'll definitely be coming back to try the waffles and other breakfast items on the menu. read more

This place is a bit hidden, but we are happy we found it. SERVICE: 5/5 The staff was polite, friendly and upbeat. It made our quick stop in Pismo Beach worthwhile. FOOD: 4.5/5 Being vegetarians, it was a bit tricky to find an hearty breakfast. In that vein, it would be great to see more non sugary breakfast options, or even more non sugary options in general. In the end, we were very happy with the breakfast burrito and Greek avocado toast. When we ordered the breakfast burrito sans meat, we were told it would have avocado. That was great news, but the burrito did not have avocado in the end (not a big deal, but a slight disappointment). The toast was flavorful, but the bread was quite thin. The breakfast burrito was a much bigger portion. We washed these dishes down with lattes. Notably, we appreciated the variety of milks available at the same cost as cow's milk. Finally, we are happy we sat outside. The are some beautiful plants and roses outdoors, and there's enough space in between tables to not hear other people's conversations. read more

If you wear enough warm clothing I would suggest eating here. It was too cold so my breakfast was taken back to my condo. The breakfast tater tots were so good. Also the drip coffee was very good medium blend coffee. The service here was great and it was nice to see that the cashier and the barista were nicely dressed and very clean looking which is always a plus when getting your food or coffee. They updated their menu to include more items. I have gotten waffles here in the past and they were also good. They have churro waffles here that sounds definitely like a good dessert for breakfast. read more

Tourist trap. Took the family there for a quick breakfast this morning. The place is cute, staff is friendly, and the food smells delicious, but that's it. The breakfasts sandwich was mediocre and so were the waffles. The breakfasts sandwich came on an English muffin and the bottom muffin was soggy. It was disappointing from the moment I picked it up. There was little flavor or authenticity to it. The ham and egg was bland, the aioli was not impressive and they used cheap American cheese. Like the cheap cheese at fast food restaurants. For the price and small shop, I expected much better quality ingredients and delicious flavors. My kids had the original waffle and the Nutella with banana waffle. Those were both dry, thin and plain. Not worth the price at all. Not impressed. Didn't try the coffee. read more

The staff here were super friendly! The cafe area to view the menu and talk with staff is quite small, so I'd imagine it gets busy considering it is along a strip leading to the beach. The veggie burrito is 3/5 and the banana latte the same. "Good" ratings for the food and drink but 5/5 for customer service! read more

This place is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots EVER! I always come here when I'm in the area specifically for their churro waffle and their southwest burrito. Both of these are soooo good. The avocado toast is not my favorite though. read more

This is a great little spot, went for breakfast 2 days on our trip down to Pismo area. Really loved their waffles, kid and adult approved! Coffee was good too. The staff there were nice and service was pretty quick. Only downside is the seating, inside can accommodate a few people but then they have patio seating. It rained the second time we went so patio wasn't ideal as not all the seating is covered. Just something to keep in mind, but don't let that deter you! Still would go back when I'm in Pismo. read more

My partner & I were on a quick visit in Pismo Beach after a few days on the road. We were looking for a quick yet more substantial breakfast than Starbucks while we were in town. We stumbled upon Breezeway Cafe and gave it a shot. They definitely did not disappoint! The cafe itself is pretty lovely with indoor & outdoor patio seating. The environment reminded me of New Orleans and there was a ton of greenery. The food was amazing! We ordered the Lox Avocado Toast (LAT), a Chorizo Breakfast Burrito (CBB) and an Iced Caramel Macchiato (ICM). LAT: The salmon was very fresh and seasoned with perfectly, topped with yummy onions and sprouts. There was an appropriate amount of avocado that didn't make the toast soggy. CBB: We were blown away by the size! Initially we were worried about how it would taste, but it was divine! Filled with chorizo, eggs, potatoes and cheese, and it just melts in your mouth. Scrumptious! ICM: Sweet but not overpowering! Nice add-on to the delicious food. S/O to the server/cashier (didn't catch her name) who was super sweet and hospitable! A nice little hidden breakfast spot! We wanted a quick brunch in Pismo Beach so we'd have time to walk around before driving back down to LA. I really liked how it wasn't too crowded here and we could just get our food, eat and go. Servers were great and friendly, there's tables on the patio and it wasn't too crowded. The menu has your normal selection of breakfast foods like breakfast sandwiches and burritos, waffles, coffee and what not. I'd recommend coming here if you want a quick brunch, nothing fancy with long lines but good food for you to eat before heading down to the beach. read more

Moments later a server brought out the food, everything smelled and looked delicious. He ordered fish N' chips w/upgraded garlic fries, (we love garlic fries!) some of the best garlic fries we've had, every bite was garlicky & dipped in ranch...mmmmm perfect combo. The fish was tender but crispy bites from the batter. I ordered the Pismo wrap (could be shared), I was not expecting it to be so packed with all the fillings. It was stuffed with sliced tri-tip, curly fries, avocado, pepper jack cheese, and bbq sauce. Every bite was so satisfying, flavorful and had a little bit of everything. Some saltiness from the fries to sweetness from the bbq sauce, well balanced (I did add some cholula sauce because I enjoy some spiciness). Definitely added as a stop when doing a day trip to Pismo. I did see other patrons sitting at the tables with much toastier-looking wraps, and it looked like the steak wrap came in a wheat tortilla. So is there more than one kind of tortilla? The tartar sauce was middle of the road and there was not enough of it in the wrap for my tastes - I like sauce. But I could not get more for the side, as the line was out the door by the time I discovered I could use more tartar sauce! So while it was fine, and the fish seemed fresh, I was somewhat disappointed, and did not munch this wrap with the zeal that I do the one from the other locale in town where I typically buy the killer cod wrap. The curly fries were good and well salted. Lots of people sitting outside; tables could've been cleaned better. Maybe staff should come out and wipe them down periodically.

Wasn't expecting much, considering it's on the beach, and with prices going up as they have been as of late. We were blown away by the amount of food we received, especially considering the price. I ordered the breezeway bowl was expecting a 4" to go bowl, but instead got an 8" oval bowl filled to near overfilling. My wife picked scrambled eggs, bacon and toast from the a la carte menu. I could barely finish it all and I'm a full grown real live adult. My wife was unable to finish all her eggs. I will definitely come here again, and highly recommend you do as well. read more

Cute new cafe that replaced the crepe shop...although we were sad to see the crepe shop gone, the food here was sooooo good! My hubby had the breakfast burrito and I had the churro waffle. The burrito was just the right size and very delicious. The churro waffle was absolutely wonderful. Can't go wrong with that! They also have bubble waffles with ice cream that come in a huge cone that we will definitely be back to try. They also have signs up saying they are getting espresso soon, so that's exciting!
