Visited Breezy on a weekday morning to celebrate a family birthday, and it did not disappoint! Located right near the historic district in San Juan Capistrano, parking was a breeze thanks to the adjacent lot and nearby parking structure. Inside, the restaurant has a fantastic, trendy island vibe; bright, airy, and filled with colorful murals and table floral arrangements. They specialize in delicious Hawaiian/Filipino entrees and bowls. I tried the Loco Moco and upgraded to the garlic rice. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive, and the food arrived hot and smelling amazing. The patty portion was generous, and while the gravy was a lighter style than I'm used to, the flavor was exceptional. Absolutely fantastic dish...I'd order it again in a heartbeat. Breezy is a top-tier breakfast spot whether you're local to San Juan Capistrano or making a drive out for it!

Honey Basil Ribeye Bowl and Longanisa Breakfast Bowl

I think this place deserves all the hype it gets because it is such a yummy brunch spot! Bonus points for being super cutely themed, I love the pink! It's a shame that it's only open from 8am-2pm aka prime brunch hours lol. Parking can be difficult, but there's a parking structure nearby if you want to skip the hassle of finding a free parking spot. Anyways, the food was absolutely delicious and worth the trek out to the southern part of OC (coming from north OC). What we got: - Honey basil ribeye bowl - wow I dream of this sometimes. They balanced the sweet and savory flavor so well, and the little side "salad" with the tomatoes and pickled onions offered a nice tangy kick. Such a delicious bowl that has many of the flavor profiles I love. Don't get me started on the garlic rice! - Longanisa breakfast bowl - the longanisa was cooked well and had a good savory sweet flavor, but was a bit more on the fatty side. It had the same sides and garlic rice as the honey basil ribeye bowl, which I already raved about so nothing to add there. I'm so excited that they have a smaller spot at Rodeo 39 in Stanton called Lil Breezy! Much closer to home and definitely a place that we would like to try soon.

This spot def hit the spot with its Filipino-Hawaiian fusion cuisine! We tried a variety of things and were quite satisfied with all of them - Ube pancakes, tocino, ribeye, and loco moco. We also ordered a side of hash brown and garlic fried rice. The restaurant in itself was spacious with 2 bathrooms and waiting areas. There was bar in the middle if that's your vibe. The drinks were decent but I'm used to Ube and matcha drinks from Orange County so standards are extremely high lol If you're curious, maybe 1-2 your your table and see if you want your own. Out server was friendly and our wait for a busy Sunday morning (10ish) was close to 50 minutes. If you arrive earlier, you might have better luck. Parking is around the area and there's a garage by the train. We drove from SD but the train ride might be a fun thing to do with the family. Lotsa restaurants and coffee spots in the area too. I'd say give this place a try and you will prolly enjoy it!

What a really cute brunch spot What we ate: - Jax loco moco: Very hearty and filling. The gravy really clinched this dish - Adobo breakfast bowl: This was so so good. The garlic rice and the tender pork. The side salad was nice and refreshing - Ube pancake stack: Definitely get this as a sweet table treat. The pancakes were thick and fluffy. The ube whipped cream made it sweet enough, it almost didn't need the syrup. I lived the coconut and fresh berries Pros - What an amazing Yelp find! My friends and I were just visiting the area and looking for a brunch spot and this really hit the spot - Loved the Filipino flavors sprinkled throughout the menu, not only the dishes but also the drinks - Inside decor was very girly and very cute. Very insta worthy - Patio seating - Clean bathrooms - People coming by to just grab a coffee - Servers were friendly - Large paid parking lot if you didn't want to look for street parking - Price was right Cons - The only downside for me is that I don't live anywhere near this place! I wish I did! Would I come again? If I was in the area, yes

Unfortunate review today. Came on a weekend to check out some Filipino/ Islander Breakfast food after a long train ride. With all the options in town we chose Breezy to see if it lives up to the Social Media hype and support Filipino business. 1 hour wait time before getting seated (no reservations available) Decent service the host was friendly but a lot of the servers did not look happy doing service, the vibe didn't feel inviting to enjoy a meal, no smiles and just felt rushed and lazy busy. Which was odd it being a Filipino type establishment which usually cultivates a really inviting and welcoming environment to enjoy food. The Aesthetic was there good for photos with an all pink motif and islander vibes. We got a few items off the menu and unfortunately the food didn't hit the mark and the food was served COLD! The Ube pancakes have a Ube whip only on top (NO Ube whip between each pancaket) that barely tastes of Ube "bland". NO Ube flavor. The crème sauce had a lot more flavor but other than that the pancake itself was also bland, you have to add a lot of syrup to enjoy. The garlic rice... NO flavor of garlic and just full of pepper and the rice was very grainy and hard. The longanisa bowl barely had any rice in it, you can see in the photo maybe 3 small spoons of rice. The longanisa itself was very cold, dry and almost taste fully cooked but had okay flavor. The wings were cooked well but again very heavy on the pepper flavor again like the rice. Also the best dish being not a Filipino dish was the eggs Benny, nice thick cuts of ham. Also the calamansi refresher was flat and highly artificially flavored. If you love the aesthetic vibes and like to take photos this is the place for you but if you're longing for a good Filipino inspired meal this isn't it. I appreciate the attempt on a modern take on Filipino food but don't recommend esp. for the cost and wait time. Good for connivence for its location.

First impressions was poor, we came it at 1:05 pm and the server Caesar told us that they stop seating people so I told him that on you hours it say from 8am to 2pm and we came all the way from Oceanside. So finally he sat us down but it feels like his doing us a favor. On the other hand, Eli our server was a Venice nice guy. We ordered adobo buriito, ube pancake and hamburger and matcha drink. The food is just ok, it's not as I'm great as the way they publicized on fb reels. But back to the start, I told Caesar about my complaint and he said that because the manager had an emergency and the manager instructed him to I guess not to take anymore customers and he said he is just a worker fallowing instructions and he apologized. Anyway overall experience is mediocre at best. But Eli service is outstanding.

Arrived at 12pm on a Friday and we got seated right away. Service was great! Everyone was approachable and ready to help. The place was nicely decorated, lots of seating, and there was also patio seating. The pink napkins was a cute touch. Now for the food, we thought it was okay, and not something we would go out of way for. The Rib Eye bowl was a little bit expensive for what it gave, but the Loco Moco's sauce was pretty good! We really liked the drinks especially the mango float matcha. The matcha could be stronger, but the mango favor really reminded me of mango float/graham I used to have a lot in the Philippines. We also ordered a side of longganisa which we really enjoyed!

Steak bowl- SWEET. Kids meal w/bacon & açaí bowl

Such a cute interior! The decor is fun and spunky and bright with natural light. I think the menu is great if you have a sweet tooth, but I didn't love it. There was a bit of a wait to get in, so reservations or joining the waitlist ahead of time is a better way to go, but once we were seated service was decent. We had a little one with us and had to get our own napkins for him while we were eating at the table since they were so busy, but they took our orders and brought the food and check in a timely manner. The food: I got the steak bowl- the steak was good, but for a "steak & egg bowl over garlic rice w/a side of greens" I expected savory andddd nope. *very* sweet. The steak marinade was already sweet (Hawaiian, makes sense) but the dressing on the salad was extremely sweet AND I realized as I ate the garlic rice I was *crunching on sugar*. Yep. Sugar. In the Garlic Rice. I asked the waitress before we left just to make sure I wasn't crazy if they did indeed put sugar in their rice and she said that they don't list it on the menu, but they caramelize brown sugar and then sprinkle it on top, and that it is a pretty sweet dish because the marinade, dressing, and aioli are all very sweet- and then they add sugar. She told me there is one chicken bowl on the menu that is over white rice and doesn't have sugar tossed into it- so good to know for next time! I don't know if I'd go back, it isn't cheap and I was sort of bummed that every option, even the savory ones, were very sugary. Also I got the egg over easy, and it was pretty much uncooked. I've never cared too much about a very over easy egg, but the whites hadn't solidified and that gave me the ick. Also got a kids meal for our baby- pancakes, eggs & bacon. It was a decent amount of food, really oily though. In the current move away from seed oils that was especially disappointing

Saw this in SocMed and decided to give it a go. They close at 2pm and when we got there around 130-ish; they were not letting people in because of the wait so we decided to come back a day later much earlier this time. Still had to wait a long time but it was worth it. Ordered Ube Pancakes, Loco Moco (?), Mango Matcha Drink, Ube Matcha Latte, and had to try some pastries. Food was bomb! The gravy on the Loco Moco (or something like that) was perfect! Love the creaminess yet did not feel heavy. The portions were a bit more but it was that good that finished it. Lol. Beef patty is pure beef and may seem bland but it goes really well with the gravy. The egg is a must! Ube pancakes were good! Taste is not overwhelmingly sweet, it was just right. Could not finish this and had to take it to go. The drinks were really good. It's made in front if you, we were seated at the bar and we could see everything, lol. The pastry that we bought from the day before were ok - it was the Spanish bread and ensaymada. The one star less is for customer service. It seems a hit or miss with the staff. Most of the staff were really cool but there were a trickle that was just meh. Almost forgot, the place is pink! Cute decor, loved everything about it. When checking it out, pkan ahead because they do close early.

Why was the best Filipino spot I've been to in awhile!! I especially loved their longanisa and matcha drinks. We traveled on the metro to SJC just to check this place out. Tons of people did the same on social and thought why not. As a Filipino, we don't often find places that do our food justice but this was one of them. Did we love the long wait? No. Waited a little over an hour, but it was well worth it. We did French toast and the longanisa plate and both were delicious. Didn't think I'd like the Ube whipped cream for the French toast but it tasted amazing. Not too sweet and just right with the dish. The loco moco was good, but wasn't in love with the gravy. This one could've bee more authentic and although it wasn't my favorite I think it's a good shareable item just to try. I also tried their bibingka which they later told me wasn't made fresh by them, and that they have a local bakery bring it in, but it was still so soft and tasted pretty authentic. We also go their matcha drinks and those were excellent. They had ample seating inside and outside, but only had two bathrooms which was odd. We always had to wait in a line for the restroom, but there was plenty of lounge seating for groups waiting to be sat which I'm sure big families would appreciate. It's located on the corner of the popular street in SJC so it was easy to walk around while we waited for our table to be ready. Make sure you stop here for some filipino bites and try a little bit of everything. The staff was super friendly and everyone was nice from the host, baristas and wait staff. Very impressed with the aesthetics here as well. Loved the plants and think it gave the place such warmth.

Visited on a Saturday around noon. It's quite popular and can be really busy, so be prepared for a long wait. My party of 3 probably waited for 30-45 mins but we were in no rush at all so we were willing to wait. They use your phone number at check in, which is convenient because we were able to walk around the vicinity to visit the neighboring shops. The aesthetic is really cute! Welcoming and cozy vibes with lots of pink accents and touches of greenery. There is also seating outside. I love the seats in the waiting area. I will say it can get really loud inside where it almost felt like I was yelling to talk to my party. Keep in mind if you come with children, please be respectful of other parties. This is not against the establishment but another party brought a bunch of kids and allowed them to be menaces. No form of discipline from the adults in the party whatsoever. I felt bad for the workers. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. I forgot our waitress's name but she was nice and was attentive to our party. Everything that we ordered was good! I got the adobo breakfast burrito and opted for chicken. Very flavorful! I will say just a little nitpick is that parts of the rice were slightly hard but still chewable. My burrito probably got rice that got cooked a little too long. We also got the guava breeze matcha, which was good. I love the guava flavor but the matcha kind of faded in flavor. I love matcha and I tend to like mine strong so take this with a grain of salt. My adult nephew got the calamansi refresher, which we all tried and agreed it was a little sour to our liking. Overall, great place to visit if you're in the area. I wouldn't mind coming back. I'm sad to see that they got rid of the crab cakes Benedict but at least there are other items on the menu to enjoy.

Whenever my family and I celebrate God blessing us with another year here on this world, we get to choose what we want to do for our birthdays. Being the foodie I am, of course I provided restaurant recommendations, so I advised our Queen that we should eat breakfast at the social media viral Breezy. I had Breezy on my Yelp Want To Go list and I'm glad my Pahtner greenlit my restaurant rec. Believe the hype folks, Breezy is a must eat spot because of their gastronomically delish grub, the cool and hip ambience, and spectacular customer service from our young Filipina waitress Hannah. Order their adobo breakfast burrito, banana pancake, and the "Kali" latte. You're welcome!!! Breezy is located in San Capistrano, CA., approximately less than an hour drive from North County San Diego. The restaurant can be found within the Los Rios Historic District specifically on the corner of Camino Capistrano and Verdugo Street. It's one of the businesses within the Capistrano Plaza. If you want to be adventurous, take the Amtrak to the San Juan Capo stop and you can easily walk to the restaurant as well as other fun spots. We drove to Breezy and were able to park in a Public Parking lot behind the restaurant, which was only $4 for two hours. Breezy doesn't take reservations, so I recommend you do what we did and arrive when they open at 8am or close to to opening. It's a popular eatery and you'll have to wait if you visit during peak dining hours. There is a good amount of outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seating with round wooden and square tables and rattan seats. There's also bartop seating where you can watch their baristas make their specialty coffees. The owners did an amazing job with a beautiful interior decor with a focal point mural of lady with a Hawaiian flower in her hair, a green backdrop with neon "Keep It Breezy" accent lighting, pink glassware and centerpieces, and decorative light fixtures to add to the ambience. Hannah provided quality customer service, was friendly, and had the welcoming Aloha spirit. Please keep in mind that Breezy is a popular Filipino and Hawaiian fusion restaurant as I've seen the restaurant reviewed by Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram foodies, which is how I was introduced to this spot. Be prepared to wait if you come after opening or during peak dining hours. I can assure you that if you do end up waiting for a table, it is well worth the wait to feast on some amazing food. The hype is most definitely real. For my breakfast meal, I ordered the Adobo Breakfast Burrito, one Banana Pancake, a hot "Kali" Latte to wash it down, and I got to taste the birthday girl's Ube French Toast. The adobo breakfast burrito comes with shredded pork adobo, scrambled eggs, garlic rice, cotija cheese, avocado, sour cream, salsa verde, and cilantro. The burrito is one of their popular items and from my first bite to my last, I wholeheartedly concur. Everything about that burrito was fresh from the tortilla to all of its components. The taste of the vinegar that I'm accustomed to from classic adobo is evident, this entree is packed with deliciousness, it's creamy, and it was so satisfying. You can order a single pancake instead of the stack, so I'm glad I got to experience their banana pancake, which is generously topped with butter, comes with fresh bananas, it's served with a side of whipped cream, and topped with macadamia nuts. The taste of banana is readily apparent, it's a large pancake, and combined with the syrup, I savored every morsel. Mimick my order and I know you won't be disappointed. I really enjoyed the taste of the Kali latte, which comes with coconut cream, condensed milk, macadamia milk, and topped with toasted coconut. My wife couldn't finish her ube french toast, so I got to eat her leftover and this also is a popular item, which from that first bite, I can understand why. Despite me eating after some time from when my wife got it, the french toast was still crunchy, the caramelized bananas, ube whipped cream, toasted coconut flakes, coconut crema, and mixed berries were all divine and yummy. I'm not an ube fan, but I am a fan of Breezy's ube french toast. Thanks and Praise God for allowing my Life Pahtner to celebrate another year on this world. Dining at Breezy's made for a great time of amazing food, memorable drinks, and stellar customer service to celebrate the Queen we love.

    Breezy Reviews in Other Languages

    Ask the Community - Breezy

    Do they take reservations?

No, but you can sign in via yelp to waitlist.

Do they have a gluten free option for pancakes?

No unfortunately not. My son has a wheat allergy and he couldn’t enjoy any of the waffles/pancakes/french toast so he had the rice based bowls instead (which were really good). If you are really sensitive with wheat or celiac, I believe many things…

Did they serve gluten-free pancakes or waffles or French toast?

Is there patio seating and can you bring dogs?

There is one small table outside for 2. I don't know if dogs are permitted, but I would love to know myself!

Do they serve any breakfast, gluten-free toast, waffles, pancakes or GF French toast?

Don't recall any pancakes or waffles being GF but they do have a great steak with eggs & rice. Might want to ask. The steak might have gluten in the glaze :/

Do they serve, gluten-free pancakes, waffles, or gluten-free French toast?

    No :(

Whatever you do, get the Cinnamon Apple Beignets (and do NOT share them, they're way too good). The Burrata was fantastic, and the Fried Chicken Salad was phenomenal. Friendly service and a super chill, relaxing ambiance, this place just earned a spot on my weekly rotation!

Had such a great brunch experience at Ramos House Cafe in San Juan Capistrano!…read more We went for their weekend brunch, which is a set menu where you choose a small plate and a large plate. The restaurant is located right on Los Rios Street, the historic street in San Juan Capistrano, so you're right in the heart of the cutest part of town. The space is really charming -- it's outdoors but covered, with lots of plants and rustic details that make it feel cozy and unique. Our server was also so sweet and helpful throughout the meal. And the food was really good. For my small plate, I got the fava bean treat, which was kind of like a little salad with bread and a fava bean spread on the side. I didn't really taste the black truffle part. The large plate was the roasted vegetable hash, and this was definitely my favorite. It was seasoned so well and had so many different grilled vegetables packed into it. The fried poached egg was also fantastic! The only part I'd probably skip next time is the tomato foam, but that's mostly because I'm not a huge fan of foams in general. The brunch is $49 per person, so it's definitely more of a splurge, but you do get a good amount of food and I thought the quality was really impressive. There's decent parking nearby, or you can try to find street parking around town and walk over, although weekends can make that a little challenging. Overall, such a cute space, great service, and really delicious food. It's a fun spot for a special brunch, especially if you want to spend some time walking around Los Rios Street afterward!

There were two bartenders that were very attentive and took great care of us. We enjoyed come cocktails before deciding to share a Cesar chicken wrap. The wrap itself was a good size with a lot of chicken and was very saucy (which I loved). It also came with a nice portion of fries and what tasted like house made ketchup, yum! It was the perfect amount of food for us and we both enjoyed it. Overall it was a nice atmosphere with very attentive service. I'd love to come back and dine in the restaurant some evening. I didn't realize how large the inside actually was until I went to the restroom and walked through, it seems like it would have great ambience after dark.

We were seated right next to where the action was (trains!) and I couldn't be happier. We ordered the salmon and the flatbread. The flatbread was a little too cheesy for my taste, so the waiter happily exchanged it for us. The wine was great, the evening breeze filled the air with the smell of flowers from nearby, and again... the trains! I highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a cozy and romantic spot.

I had the Ecology Center Chpp Salad and LOVED it! It's hard to find fresh, great-tasting salads, and this one was awesome! And not too expensive! My husband had the Newporter wrap, a vegan wrap loaded with grilled mushrooms and other veggies. He loved this too! In fact, we loved our items so much we went back again today. This time I got the Yosemite salad, which was also fresh and good. My preference is the Ecology salad, however. My hubby got the Newporter again. The vibe is also lovely with what I'm going to call a "Northern California Redwood Cabin Retreat" style. It just reminded me of vacations in Lake Tahoe I went on as a kiddo or a cafe you'd find near Muir Woods. Right now they don't have a bathroom, but we were informed that they will be moving to a new location a few doors down with a bathroom soon. We can't wait! We have yet to sample their delicious looking goodies like the Pecan White Chocolate Cookies.

We received a brown bag with a handwritten note " Sorry we are out of carrot cake so here is Pumpkin cake or roll". I was staning there for 30 mins. WHY COULDN'T YOU JUST ASK ME. I don't like pumpkin. So I called Sunday and no manager there. I was asked leave a message and told I would get a call back which I did. Sunday and Monday no one called back. Tues I called again no manager. Left another message, and now its Tuesday night no one bothered to call me back. I don't like paying for food I can't eat. Pumpkin and white rice. Not the best customer service!!!!
