We enjoyed authentic Lebanese coffee along with delicious pancakes, bacon, and eggs--everything was fresh and full of flavor. Sometimes the best places are the low-key spots that locals know about. No wait, no line--just great food and genuinely kind owners. They also have an amazing selection of ice cream that looked incredible. Managed to find this gem while a couple in my group were enjoying their shopping experience. It was a treat to get a warm latte and baklava. The coffee was on point and was enjoyable on a day with a little cool drizzle of rain. To be honest I wanted to eat something, but a small piece of baklava was so tasty and my family enjoyed the pieces I saved for them. When I offered to pay for a paper coffee cup to fix it, the staff was confrontational, made excuses they were low in stock, and argued with me. They also charged steeply for the coffee, punching in the $7 Americano versus the $5/$6 Drip. The Turkish coffee was very grainy for my taste, which I know can be typical, but it wasn't something I personally enjoyed. It's tucked back in the middle a bit hidden, but well worth the find as you uncover the gem of a shaded patio with tables for dining. The cafe has a good sized breakfast and lunch menu. After shopping all morning I was ready for a good panini and Cafe Dolce did not disappoint. I ordered a turkey/bacon and an Anthony Bourdain Mortadella sandwich. Service was very friendly and nice. My wife and I found a great spot in the pain with our small dog. The sandwiches arrived quickly and were still hot, with a wonderful aroma. Both were thick with their choice of meat. My turkey and bacon sandwich was delicious with ample amounts of bacon and avocado. My wife absolutely loved her mortadella sandwich. Portions were good-sized as I barely was able to eat all of my sandwich and my wife had to get a to go box. I came here with my three friends, and I was the last to order. I noticed that all of my friends in front of me were pressured into ordering an additional item they didn't really want, that was more expensive than what they were originally purchasing. The baklava I ordered was OK. I've definitely had better elsewhere. The managers attitude was the real problem. I would never recommend this place to anyone. We stopped here for lunch on a quiet Monday, and ordered two sandwiches. I had the Bourdain mortadella, and found it pretty lacking in both substance and flavor. My wife felt the same about her sandwich, although I can't recall which one she ordered. We ate in the courtyard, which was quite nice, and finished our sandwiches there. I initially suggested splitting one, so as not to get too full, but that would not have worked. The sandwiches are thin on ingredients, and the bread is like a brioche in a panini press. Always our first stop on any trip to Solvang. Everything is fresh and unique. Highest quality ever, some organic and locally sourced. Best coffee in town by far (Arabic was great as is bulletproof.) Needed some coffee after dinner and the first cafe had too long of line so we try our luck here. The line was shorter and once we got inside we saw Dubai chocolate! They also offer many Mediterranean desserts such as Baklava. We just got a latte and a bar of Dubai chocolate ($32.92 for the chocolate and one latte). Yes we didn't know how much was the chocolate but we know they can be pricey . The chocolate was indeed good! The latte was good and definitely needed to tame the sweetness of the chocolate. The ordering is pretty chaotic. One place to order and pay yet no clear line. I ordered the Mediterranean vegan sandwich ( didn't come with a side) It was tasty but not filling. The total came to about $86 for the four of us to eat (2adults & 2kids). My husband got the tuna melt (no side included). It was "okay." The kids got a hot dog ($10!) and a waffle with scrambled eggs. My daughter couldn't finish the waffle so we asked for a Togo box but were handed a paper bag. I explained we needed something to put the waffle and syrup in. Received a piece of wrapping paper. We also asked for water for our order but were told we had to purchase water.
