Over the years, we've relied on Shawn's for everything from routine pool chemicals and accessories to major maintenance, including pool drains/startup, cleaner rebuilds, filter cleans, acid wash, and even a salt cell installation. Every job has been done well and at a fair price. Whenever I've needed repairs or considered buying a new pool cleaner, Shawn has always taken the time to explain the different options, along with the pros and cons of each, so I could make an informed decision instead of feeling pressured into the most expensive choice. I wanted to make sure how much it was going to actually cost me, so I made sure that they knew WHAT I HAD IN SUPPLIES including the fact that I had three bags of salt and I wanted them to be used so that I would NOT HAVE to pay their price for the salt needed for my pool. I knew I would need two additional bags but that was it. Well it DID NOT GET USED even though it was NOTED on my file. Then I also knew I needed to replace the filters and would do so at the same time as when getting my pool drained and refilled. The tech was already here, it's not like he had to do an extra trip or anything. I had called and spoken to Shawn over the phone because I received a text letting me know the filters were on sale with a 15% discount and I wanted to make sure the discount was applied to my invoice. He said that yes it was going to be applied on the final bill. Except Shawn failed to mention the FACT THAT THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME $140 additional for putting the filters in. But the worst part was when I went in person to find out why my bill was so high. Of course being the honest person that I am I HAD ALREADY PAID THE INVOICE. Because both the young guy with the beard can't remember his name and a lady with short curly hair ( also don't know her name) were very rude. Even though I was not talking to her in regards to my situation she decided to butt in and tell me that "was I thinking I was going to get things for free?" And the guy all he could say was " well I don't know what was said and what wasn't" pretty much my word against theirs. THAT'S FINE I WILL HAVE THE FINAL WORD, YOU ARE A RIP OFF. We needed some cleanup work done on our pool before the start of the season. We needed our Rick…read morefeature repaired and repainted, a new light wired, the tile bead blasted and pool acid washed and a new vacuum. They came out, gave us a quote we were happy with and started the work on schedule. All of the work performed was done well and on time. The new vacuum, however, was a different story. First they took our old hose and attached it to the new vacuum and left it in the pool hoping I wouldn't notice. I sent a text to the tech and asked where the box for the vacuum was with the new hose, instructions, warranty card and other attachments that the unit was sold with. He sent back a text saying that the vacuums don't come in a box with hoses, etc. and offered me a digital copy of the instructions (note that they also asked to take my old vacuum off of my hands for me too which I'm guessing they rebuild and sell to unknowing customers as new) When I called the office they said that the owner would come out with a brand new unit the next day. While I did end up with the new eventually, the owner never came by to discuss. While the majority of the job they did was wonderful, the shady vacuum situation ruined our impression of the company as a whole.

In looking around at other online groups, I noticed that he was the owner of a pool business. I checked reviews everywhere and everyone loved his friendliness and expertise. We had a broken pump and needed it replaced quickly in the Phoenix heat. Shawn answered my questions and gave me recommendations outside of business hours and scheduled our repair to happen in 36 hours. He came out this morning, was fast, efficient and super friendly to work with. We now have a great new pump and the pool is clean again! He sent me a receipt for my payment the same day and also filed for a rebate for me. Gold star service. He knows Hayward and Pentair and I'm sure he works with others too. He also has a year round pool cleaning service (which I haven't used, but I'd recommend just based on Shawn being in charge of it). Thanks again, Shawn. I had a Hayward Aqua logic panel board replaced in 2018, unions for my salt cell earlier this summer and most recently my LED light replaced in the pool. I had to wait for the light to become available as my previous light was 11 years old and no longer manufactured. Each job was done perfectly. Samuel sends pictures of the diagnosis and then the repaired work upon completion which is excellent customer service in my opinion. They are my go to for pool repairs!
