Ah I remember when I found out about Dr. Brent Lew by chance on Yelp, he only had about 10 reviews, but they were all superb. Now were close to the 40s with all stunning comments. I thought I should do them some justice by writing my full honest review even though I am being referred to another dentist because my primary specialist dentist Dr. Miyamoto is retiring. She was incredibly good at what she did. I am sad to see her go, but definitely understandable during these COVID times. Dr. Lew is a very friendly, cool, and professional at what he does. If you are like me and are hesitant about going to the dentist. Have no fear! This is seriously as good as it gets. I only had him for my very first session and a surprise pop up session with Dr. Miyamoto during one of my mini surgeries. I thought it was seriously cool how he ended up assisting and added a permanent retainer on my upper which is something I did not expect. He obviously wanted to help better my teeth by jumping in like that which it did. The other few times I did see him, he was always extremely welcoming and asking how I was coming along. As for Dr. Miyamoto, she has helped me come a long way and I was hoping to get to the finish line with her. I may have actually done that had I not taken breaks in between at times. She gave me so many tips on to better my overall teeth and gums that I told them to my family and girlfriend that they now follow these steps as well. For example, switching over to the Sonicare toothbrush was the best decision ever. Superb tips like using a tongue scraper and even the Clorox bleach method (a small dab with a cup of water as mouthwash) were extremely helpful. Thank you Dr. Miyamoto for everything. I wish you the best! Good luck on retirement. Finally, the staff which from what I hear from other practices are either make or break. I can assure you that the staff is super friendly and nice. They were always welcoming and their smiles would light up the room. They usually have the same staff members and when they do add a new person, they are just as friendly! My family and I (family of 4) have been going to Dr. Brent Lew for more than 15 years. Over this time, we've consistently had outstanding results and the resulting beautiful smiles. Dr. Lew attempts to use the most conservative options and has performed the whole gamut of procedures on our family including crowns, veneers, fillings, oral appliances, and the standard regular cleaning and checkups. Within the next couple of months, Dr. Lew will be doing some gum grafting to resolve the problem of gum recession. The attached photos show some recent work (before and after) that Dr. Lew did to repair two chipped bottom teeth. I'm 56 years old and, due to excellent and conservative dental care through Dr. Lew, my teeth are in great shape. Dr. Lew not only has a wealth of knowledge and experience with various dental procedures, he has outstanding artistic ability, consistently delivers the highest quality results, and always follows through and delivers what he's promised (and oftentimes more). In addition, he has a gentle touch, is patient, empathetic, and has a knack for putting patients at ease. Dr. Lew's patient-centered practice is geared toward comfort, outstanding outcome, and a fair price. Although our insurance is out of network for Dr. Lew's practice, our insurance consistently pays 100% of the fees charged because his fees are reasonable. Unlike some other dentists we've used in the past, Dr. Lew's primary interest is outstanding results at a fair price (rather than pure profit motive). The office is now located on the second floor of the right side of this building (if you're looking at it from the street). Go up the stairs in the front right side of the building and they are the first door on the left. I've been seeing Dr Lew for almost 10 years now after "graduating" from Dr. Kunihiro (a pediatric dentist/orthodontist that he shares a dental practice with) for no longer meeting the age requirements for a pediatric dentist. I guess we all have to grow up and see an adult dentist sometime, haha. My dental hygienist and Dr Lew are amazing. Dr Lew is great at only doing procedures that need to be done. No running up a bill of unnecessary procedures here! I had my first dental surgical procedure last year and he was great at explaining the options. He also took a look at my insurance and showed me that if we waited three months then the procedure would be 100% covered by my insurance or I could do it now and pay out of pocket for a portion of it. Since it wasn't urgent I chose to delay it and save the cash. When it came time for the procedure he was very detail oriented and great at explaining exactly how I would feel afterwards. I still get to pick out the color of my new toothbrush after ever cleaning and sometimes the secretary also lets me sneak one of the toys from the kids basket. I'm not sure I'll ever fully grow-up. It's not everyday you go to a dentist and walk out with a smile, normally we associate dentistry with fear and dread, who want's to be told that their teeth are falling apart or that their eating habits must change? I can tell you not this guy. Going to Dr. Bret Lew is much different then most dentist I went to, he is current with whats going on with the world, easy to talk to, makes sure your comfortable and well informed. He showed me exactly what he was doing; for example when I was getting my root canal done I learned a lot about the whole process and procedure, I was shown how the tools worked and how the operation was done with the tools. Not only is it a fun environment to get dentist work done on your teeth but he completes his work very quickly and accurately, I have never needed anything redone everything is spot on and complete. Dr. Lew and staff were great! I arrived about 15 minutes early and since I was able to fill out my new patient paperwork ahead of time they were able to get me into the chair within minutes. Dr. Lew explained how he treats his patients as family and that became very apparent by then end of my visit. I had recently broke a crown and was looking for a second opinion because I wasn't ready to spend the 10k the first dentist quoted me. Dr. Lew laid out all of the options I have and all of them came out to be significantly less by comparison. I am a newer patient of Dr. Lew, but I have had several other dentists (and plenty of work done, unfortunately). Out of all the dentists I have been to, I would have to say Dr. Lew is by far the best. I had to have some repair work done to a crown that I had put in previously. Before, the procedure, he explained the situation and all my options which was very important since I have to pay out of pocket. I asked Dr. Lew what his suggestions were with further helped me make the best choice for the care of my teeth. He made me feel completely at ease during the whole procedure.
