2 drinks, & 3 breakfast burritos all came to us cold after a 35 min wait in our car out front after using their drive through. Wouldn't have minded so much if it had at-least taste good, but even that fell short. It's hard to describe exactly where the coffee broke down as I don't know what the use to make them, but I will say they tasted more like flavorings and extracts then they did coffee, caramel, or Irish cream. Found this place on our way to a mountain bike ride. The coffee is pretty smooth, not overly powering. They use syrup flavoring, it does tend to be very sweet tooth style. Not my style of coffee but other people In our group enjoyed it. read more

Tuesdays are my favorite day at Brew Monkey!!! I love to get the soup & sandwich menu option. The broccoli cheese soup and TBA sandwich is my favorite combo! I don't drink coffee but this place has delicious soups and sandwiches along with making some phenomenal specialty hot chocolates!!! Every member of their staff is friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Overview: I live in California and I visit Salt Lake City/Magna often for work. I've eaten at Brew Monkey over 10 times within this year. Food: The food is very fresh and affordable. It has a wide variety of coffee drinks, smoothies and teas. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, so I usually get a smoothie. The smoothies are fresh, delicious and not too sweet (just how I like it). Though Brew Monkey is a coffee shop, it offers plenty of food (breakfast sandwiches, muffins, cookies, lunch sandwiches, soups, salads and cakes). For lunch, I usually get the half sandwich and soup combo for $5.50 (what a steal!!!). You can get the full sandwich and soup or salad combo for $1 more! I've tried all the sandwiches and my top 2 favorite ones are the Veggie (bell peppers, olives, lettuce, tomato and onions) and the TBA (turkey bacon avocado). I'm not a vegetarian, but Brew Monkey can make me happily eat veggies only! The veggie sandwich is really fresh and fulfilling. It really does not need any meat for it to taste good. The bread is the best and the veggies are so fresh and crunchy). I love love love the sandwiches here! Place: It's a small local coffee house in a middle of a deserted plaza. I heard they were moving soon to a location not too far from where they are at. This venue has about 5 small tables (2-4 per table). It's has a cute homey local décor, which a few stuffed monkeys hanging around. There's a small shelf around the corner that holds some magazines and newspapers for the customers to enjoy during their visit. Service: The service is awesome. The ladies behind the counter are always friendly and happy to serve you. When I eat here, it feels like my mom fixed me the soup and sandwich. Overall: I highly recommend Brew Monkey if you're in Magna. There aren't too many restaurants in Magna that aren't fast food or heavy food. This is a great place to drink coffee/tea/smoothie and eat very delicious fulfilling healthy food. The price is awesomely affordable too! Whenever I'm in Magna, I have to visit Brew Monkey! I live in taylorsville and I often find myself wanting to drive the 20 minutes out to magna just for the Brew Monkey coffee. I'm all about variety, and this place has it. I love the different kinds of drinks you can get and create! Milky Way, Snickers, Metallica, just to name a few. They taste like grown up chocolate milk. Even the plain mochas are delicious! Normally I get average customer service with average coffee. Now they've hired a gal with gauges and we have yet to get a decent drink since. The main reason I go there is convenience. This time we ordered large Italian sodas. The gal with gauges in her ears asked my daughter who was picking them up for us if we wanted half a shot of cherry and half a shot of almond in them. My daughter never ordering Italian sodas before said yes. Her bad. I don't understand why she would ask if we only want one shot of flavoring in a 32 oz drink, but it was still her bad. When we tasted them it was soda water and cream. It was bad!!! Bad enough I packed them all up and took them back. When I got there and told her they tasted like s**t she just wanted to argue with me. I told her I know my daughter agreed, but I don't understand why the question was asked in the first place. One shot total in a 32oz drink. Just make a standard so I know what I'm ordering. If I want a special request it's my responsibility to ask for it. So I have lived in Magna for a few years and finally decided to try brew monkey for the first time today. I am not a coffee drinker so I went with the soup and sandwich combo with Ice water while my dad who was with me also got a combo with a side salad. My ice water tasted like coffee and the sandwiches just didn't have any flavor. No flavor to the sourdough or to the meat and cheese on the sandwich. We both ended up taking half of our sandwich home to the dogs.
