I have ordered delivery from here many times and have been very satisfied. Unfortunately I went there tonight at 8:40 to try to hang out inside and was told they stop seating people at 8:30. I would not have been upset except for the fact that the place was packed including the beer garden which was incredibly loud. The server even checked her watch before seeing us. I felt like I had to be part of an exclusive club in order to be in there. I'm sure if I tried to order for delivery it would have been fine. read more

I enjoyed this bar very much - probably one of, if not THE best bar i've been to in the Bronx. 1. The vibe before 10pm is very different than the vibe after 10pm. They have a DJ set up, the music genre changes to house/edm music. Four star because i wish there was more of a variety of music... maybe oldie's to song requests maybe even karaoke/singalong nights. 2. There is an outdoor area for those that want to smoke a cigarette and an indoor area. There is a bouncer at the front door and to the door leading to the outdoor area. Both places have enough tables and chairs to host their guests in. 3. BAR FOOD was to die for, especially their pouting. Wings were amazing too and their tater tots, chili, etc. Reasonable prices for the food... nothing crazy expensive and nothing crazy cheap either. 4. Drinks!!! Meathead served us and man he is one awesome, cool dude. He explained everything to my husband and I on our first time there, showed us where the restroom was etc and this was around 10pm but he made time to show us around which we really appreciated. We weren't served any bottom shelf liquor, never woke up feeling like death or so.. Never had to wait long to be served and receive drinks. They do have an ATM inside which came in really helpful since one time we went towards the end of the night the credit card machine was acting up. Don't be fooled by their long island ice tea! The WORST takeout service ever. I walked in and placed my order with an older lady Nicole. I ordered cheeseburger sliders and the steak sandwich. She told be it would be 15 mins. I never saw her again, so I assume she went home. After 25 minutes of waiting, I asked the young girls to check on my food. As time went on, they kept telling me "It's coming out right now", "They're packing it". There were other patrons that came in after me, placed their orders and received their food faster. I placed my order at 8:55 PM and I didn't receive my food until 9:41 pm. The only reason why I did get my food at that time was because I told them I want my refund and I'm leaving.... other than that, I would still be waiting for my food. The manager needs to hire adults and not these young girls that don't know anything about customer service. They were completely clueless and just standing there. They only checked on my food after I asked him each time, never on their own. This was my first time going to Brewskis and my last! read more

Sports bar in the bronx that serves great food. I live locally and have come in on a weeknight to have a few beers and dinner. Turns into a very young party after hours. They have a dj that plays on fri & sat nights. Around st paddys day there is a parade in this area and there is a huge after party in this place. They have a big back portion that has a tent with food and a live band. read more

Their steak was simply grilled. Overcooked and tasteless, what a waste. Their apps are pretty good tho, hence the 2nd star. Would not recommend but I mean it's not a steakhouse either so that's my fault. read more

I have been a customer at brewskis since moving to Throgs neck circa 2012. I have gone here for drinks and food prior to the pandemic. During the pandemic I have also supported them as well as other local businesses through takeout and delivery. As soon as NYC lifted the outdoor dining ban I went to make reservations which would be including my daughter. I was told I can't do outdoor dining there because my daughter is under 2 years old and this is an amendment of Governor Cuomo. I then proceeded to look into this and realized this is not a rule of the Governor's but their own. I went onto the CDC website and proceeded to download the PDF of all restaurant and bar rules and no where is it stated that children under two cannot do outdoor or even indoor dining in New York State as well as New York City. When I commented on a post on their Facebook page the person responding accused me of calling their hostess rude (which she was to me when I went to make the reservation) and proceeded to tell me this is Cumo's legislation. I asked to see the actual legislation and if they could send or post a picture. Other mothers and families on Facebook actually said they were turned away as well one woman stating her daughter was actually two years old. They then proceeded to erase my comment. This is extremely rude and unprofessional. They state they are a "family friendly" restaurant but that's obviously not the case. It is understandable if the owner of an establishment wants customers of a certain age group 21 and older etc, but don't blame Cuomo for something that is clearly a rule they made up. Fortunately there are plenty of awesome restaurants in Throgs neck (Weas well as the five boroughs that don't lie to their customers and comply to the actual rules & amendments of the state, not made up ones and accept people and children of all ages. I will not support discrimination of any kind. read more

I don't really like "Bar Food". I walked into Brewskis expecting the normal. I was shocked and very happy with the food they served!! Onion soup was overly cheesy, great broth and only $3.95!! I ordered the taco salad and it was huge, delicious and full of ground beef!! It was the best taco salad I ever had!! My partners steak tidbit sandwich was packed and full if meat and cheese and so delicious!! The atmosphere here is also great, charged with people and energy!! Loved it! read more

People holding chairs at bar with bags (I guess for friends) 3.One table empty and and available but no chairs??? 4.Ask a waitress "any seats available?" She replies No and walks away. We walked out. Decided to come here tonight for a bite to eat. Haven't been to Brewski's in a couple of years and normally the food has always been good. Tonight, not so much. I found a chewed up straw or something like a straw which had been deeply fried in my fried pickles appetizer. After that, I completely lost my appetite. I had also ordered garlic parmesan wings before the straw incident and they were pretty greasy and didn't taste well. I basically left hungry. Won't be returning here. The waitress was nice and took the pickles off the bill. In a side note, I also dislike when servers don't write customer orders down. read more

I dont understand the negative reviews! This place is awesome! Ive been coming here since 2017 and they never disappoint. Great vibes, great service, great ambiance and the people who work here are always friendly and offer great service. The crowd is great too! Sure there are other bars/restaurants on tremont in throggs neck but this one i know for sure i can come and have a great time and not worry about becoming a victim of a crime. First time coming here was this month (July) and I've already gone twice. A true Bronx gem complete with an old school feel. Great selection of beer on tap and great bar eats. Try the pulled pork burger or pernil tostones. Definitely going again and cannot wait to watch games here during football season. read more

Ordered wings, chicken fingers and Cobb salad through Uber Eats. At first food was due to arrive 1:18 pm but the time kept changing and I ended up getting the food by 1:48pm. Terrible service and experience! I have enjoyed coming here for their food and frozens up until my experience today. Both iced and hot coffee were made with expired milk. You can actually see chunks floating in the coffees. The waitress had an attitude from the moment we walked in. When we asked nicely for new brews and were basically given milk the second time around. My boyfriend and I have been here plenty of times and never experience anything like this. Not once was she courteous and had resting bitch face the whole time. She dropped off the bill without saying thank you although we were not finished ordering. The music was ok, I didn't eat so I would t know about the food. Went last night for my boss's birthday and even though I did have s good time with my group I don't like the fact they don't serve any type of cognac. It's kind of racist if you ask me. Bars that don't serve cognac basically mean that they don't want any people of color in their establishment. This is such a fun place to hang out in. This is a neighborhood sports bar with some of the best bar food I've tasted in quite some time. Great staff & clientele make this the type of bar that might be easy to pass over and assume that all you'll find are sports heads circled around a bar all drinking beer and getting loud. And while that is unequivocally true what's also true is how diverse the customers are. Latinos, Irish, Italians, African-Americans, etc. The vibe here is awesome. And the food here is super impressive. They have an INCREDIBLE Chili Cheese Burger that will blow your mind and amazing apps like Pernil Tostones which are fried plantains and boneless pork chunks (this Latin inspired item on their menu was a fantastic surprise). I came in last Monday, as I frequently do, to take advantage of the half price burger and craft beer special. Normally, the food and drinks are spot on, but not this time. I ordered the LIC Knights of Wonder (a stout) and it tasted extremely sour, as if it had gone bad or was mixed with other beers (that may have gone bad). The burger I ordered was good, but it was incredulous to me that the side of spinach that I ordered ($5) was so small. Please fix the keg, make sure the beer is fresh, and bring back a normal size portion of your spinach. read more

We found this bar and grill amidst covid. It was a great restaurant we continually visited and I would've honestly given it 5-stars up into this point (good food and drinks), however the waitresses blatantly ignore specific tables. We have an hour and a half reservation and we got our orders PLACED 40 minutes in, and got our food by the time our reservation ended. We were not checked on and had no service through the entirety of our reservation. Likewise, they only carded those who were individuals of color. We could not seem to even get a hold of our waitress after we expressed dissatisfaction. We were passed off from waitress to waitress, watching them mimic us and our mannerisms. Overall an unprofessional experience. It kind of sucks to see your favorite place get ruined by the actions of certain waitresses :( read more

The thanksgiving eve celebration is always a great one- everyone comes back home and goes straight here for a great selection of beers from local and commercial breweries. I visited this bar with a few buddy of mines & they were so racist there. It took over 1 hour to get acknowledged. The bartenders was this rude guy who would ignore us everytime we flagged him. i would prefer to give 0 stars, but, i have to choose one. on august 31 i placed an order for 2 short rib sanwiches. i had ordered them before and had liked them. unfortunately , these were horrible, they suppose to have a bit of jam to give them a little bit of sweetness. these were complete sugar. they were disgusting, all you tasted was sugar. called brewski, the manager elizabeth was very accommodating offering to refund the $28.00 for the sandwiches; well it's been a month and i have yet to receive my refund. i have called several times to speak to owner brian torressen, whom the last time told manager to tell me he was calling me the next day, that was a week ago. i spoke to elizabeth again and she said it wasn't in her hands, she explained the situation and the refund to owner and it was up to him to take care of it. she thought it had already been taken care of. obviously, they have lost a customer and every single family and friend of ours that were patrons. customer service is horrendous, will never order from them again. (well maybe owner brian torresen is horrendous, since elizabeth did try to help but all fell on the owner) read more
