Brewvino's main bar and indoor dining area.

Brewvino is the second golf club-turned-restaurant I visited this weekend...must be some sort of trend in York County! Brewvino is located at the Grand View Golf Course in Weigelsville, PA--juat a couple of miles north of York PA on Route 74. Brewvino is a nice re-imagining of what was probably dodgy country club space. There's a very pleasant main bar and dining space that opens out to porch and lawn seating outside. The beer menu features Pennsylvania craft brews and other domestic selections. Although I did not try the food, the menu had a variety of American options. Service was quick and friendly. We'll definitely ve back for another visit.

I was here for a bridal shower. The event started at noon and they wouldn't let us in until noon which I thought was strange. They had a nice sized separate room with tables and chairs for us. We had salads, mozzarella sticks and fries as an appetizer (the fried stuff was super overcooked and unrecognizable) and then 5 different flatbread pizzas for our meal. The pizzas were pretty good and a nice selection of flavors, margherita, chicken pesto, cheese along with a couple others that I'm not sure what the flavors were, it would've been nice if they had some kind of chalkboard signs with the flavors written on them. This place is also a golf club and the parking lot was PACKED with cars so many of the bridal shower guests had to walk a very good distance with gifts. Also the parking lot resembles the moon with the amount of craters and potholes, also very difficult to get in and out of with the traffic. It was ok but I won't be going there again.

So far service has been slow. The outdoor seating is definitely a plus Once we got a server things went much better. We are doing a lite lunch I had the Santa Fe egg rolls and the boys had a cheese pizza. Both dishes came out hot and tasty!!! The staff was helpful. Great way to spend a lay afternoon having food and watching the golfers.

We did outdoor seating and the view is amazing. The pizzas are amazing too! Good customer service. Can't wait to go back!

Food and drinks were fantastic. Our service was excellent. Menu options were great. I loved the gluten free pizza and it's the best I have had. Can't wait to go back and try other things there.

Incredible, creative brick oven pizza served at a golf course. WTF. WTF. WTF. Absolutely delicious pizza approximately 8in x 12 in in size. Hidden treasure. Today I had the shrimp and flank steak pizza. Pizza had a crab dip sauce on it that was quite deliscious. Others at the table ordered 5 other types. I tasted all. They all rocked. Fries were killer too!!!

I'm not a heavy drinker but I enjoy a social drink now and then. They have an excellent selection of seasonal brews for every taste. (I like more light beers while my husband and father in law prefer the darker ones) Food wise you can't go wrong with their BBQ. I had gotten a fish and chips special in March and I wish they still had it on the menu! Fish was so light and crispy, not greasy like most I've had. This time I had the half chicken which came with a corn bread muffin, baked beans and BBQ sauce. Chicken was so tender and juciy, I had enough for another meal. Husband had the brisket sandwich and just the plan brisket the next time. Said the sandwich was better, not as dry as just the meat. We made the mistake of ordering an appetizer and soup with our BBQ trays and all the food came out within 10 minutes of each course. Waitress apologized that the BBQ platters don't take long to get together so its just something to keep in mind. I remember the first time our appetizer and entrees came out later so it really depends on what you order. Both times we got the large pub pretzel with crab dip. So good! I do recommend reservations as it seems to fill pretty fast. It's a large open restaurant with beautiful decor and outdoor seating that will probably open up with the warmer weather. Just watch the timing and what you order or you might end up with a buffet like we did. Plus side, it was all good left over!

Got drinks - my husband was delighted with the beer options and loved the single hop All Citra the best, and he is a beer snob (in the best way!). The Sauvignon blanc was ok, but I realize that is not their focus. We had calamari to share - good flavor, but more pillowy than crisp. The platters are the way to go - $20 for a ridiculous amount of terrific food! The pulled pork was smoky, tender and homemade sauces were perfect. Sides of coleslaw, beans and a cornbread muffin were all tasty and a nice sized serving. I had enough left for another whole meal! The brisket was awesome too - got a chunk from my husband. Our server was Allie - she did a great job - there when we needed her, knowledgeable and nice as could be! The food is served quickly, which was nice if you are traveling. Overall, a fun experience in a beautiful setting and a very reasonable price.

You see, back in 17th century England, private houses would open their homes to the public and sell food and beer. Hence, public house. Over time, they dropped the "lic house" and just called them pubs. Because you never dropped the "lic house" makes me think that you haven't evolved like you should have. And frankly, your food is proof. In fact, it even made me nostalgic. But not in the way you might think. You see, I loved making fun food concoctions when I was a kid. My sister and I would watch this corny show called "Zoom" on Maryland public television, where the kid hosts would make recipes sent in from all over the country. We'd make homemade peanut butter cups using Jif and semisweet chocolate chips. Or weird sandwich combinations like pickles and potato chips and cheese and jelly. The seafood egg rolls weren't the worst part of my meal, but they were definitely sophomoric--as if a kid chef-in-training was asked to whip something up from Chinese food leftovers. Seafood should never taste fishy, yet these did. One bite hit me like something that had been sitting a little too long above the waterline. Not to mention, they were laying on a greasy glob of some mayonnaise accompaniment disguised as a fancy garnish you'd see on MasterChef. One word: Ick. The ahi tacos. Oh boy. My mind fills with seawater the moment I think of them because they tasted as if they had been fished right out of the ocean and then placed on my plate. They were wet. Soaked. Drenched. The gelatinous seaweed clump on each taco wasn't culinary-forward, just unappetizing. I took one bite and wished I could spit it back out, but I reluctantly swallowed it. My esophagus is now aquaphobic thanks to you. The moment the coconut jasmine rice hit my mouth, my tastebuds took the red eye to the coconut tree haven of the Maldives. Normally, this wouldn't be a bad thing, but the rice and coconut had no cohesion. It tasted like my younger self dumping a handful of shredded coconut--the sweetened kind my mom kept in the pantry for the wool on her Easter-shaped lamb cake--into a cup of microwaveable rice. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was your kind, charismatic waiter. He was lovely in every way--attentive, sweet, and helpful. He would have been an incredible host on "Zoom." If only his personality made the food taste better. For your sake, I hope you learn to evolve your kitchen's offerings beyond the amateurish trio I experienced. If not, your restaurant's bones may end up fossilized alongside every other place that couldn't adapt.

Sat down and Ryanne arrived quickly to take our drink orders and give us menus. My cheesesteak sandwich with onions was outstanding! Could be the best one I have ever had. The bread was incredibly soft on the inside and the sandwich had a perfect ratio of meat and cheese and was piping hot which is how I like it. Ryanne was an excellent server and checked on us multiple times and made sure our drinks were full and the food was to our expectations. I was hesitant to try this place (never been before) based on the Yelp rating. Now, I cannot wait to go back for another meal.
