Arrived at 2:45pm on a Monday. Restaurant was perfectly quiet and multiple sports shows were on the many TV's around us. Plenty of empty seating to choose from. Sat down and Ryanne arrived quickly to take our drink orders and give us menus. My cheesesteak sandwich with onions was outstanding! Could be the best one I have ever had. The bread was incredibly soft on the inside and the sandwich had a perfect ratio of meat and cheese and was piping hot which is how I like it. Ryanne was an excellent server and checked on us multiple times and made sure our drinks were full and the food was to our expectations. I was hesitant to try this place (never been before) based on the Yelp rating. Now, I cannot wait to go back for another meal. Went to The Vault Pizza & Grill for a quick bite & drink a few days ago. I ordered a long island tea & get what looks like straight soda. ( I'm aware there's no actual tea in a LIIT) Took a sip & it just wasn't good to me - hard to even identify the liquor- Asked if it could be swapped for an orange crush. Waitress takes it to the bar, 3 of them having a meeting for like 10 minutes. 2 of them return (original waitress & bartender) Bartender says she called the owner and he is not allowing them to accomodate because thats the recipe used to make it. *REALLY* ?? I asked if it can be fixed, PLEASE can you make it more like the LIT I had in mind? Again "this is our recipe" (waitresses were extremely nice about it) but uh ok let me take another sip & see if I can grin & bear it. Nope! It was horrendous! No fixing, swapping, or removing from the bill. Just a "leave it or take it yet you're still gonna pay for it even though it's unpleasantly put together" type policy!! WOWWWW! This place valued $8 over a good customer service experience! The food is pretty mediocre too. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

The location, the staff ... all great. But... BUT... the cheese steak? Horrendous and... I've been in California for so many years I was till able to tell this wasn't what "should" be served. Seems they're trying to, do their rendition of a classic. If so they really need to stop and don't fix what hasn't been broken for centuries. SO ... this could have been a bad day? But the cheese steak had the consistency of a pulled pork sandwich, it seemed like the meat was in a cauldron sitting, and simply had a slab of cheese melted over top. Stopped in for takeout after work. Sat at the bar and had a draft while I waited for my food. The inside looks like it was an old bank with an actual vault inside. Got the cheese steak egg rolls and a stromboli. The egg rolls were delicious but the stromboli was just ok. The usuals sitting at the bar say the pizza and fries are what I should have gotten so I'll have to give them a try. read more

Food was OK. Service by our server was fine, although I don't know why she was wearing an unzipped hoodie at least 3 sizes too big, hanging off one shoulder. On entering, with a party of eight, we were "welcomed" by a staff member who would not let us push another small table over, so that everyone in our party would have a seat. Combo restaurant and bar with no real separation, so depending on the time of day you're there, you might have a little bar noise. Food is good. I really love the bang-bang shrimp appetizer. It's a nice sized serving and could easily be your meal if you're not real hungry. The burgers are very good. Pizza is good too. Service was fine, food came out fairly quickly. Prices are average. The patio area looks nice, but I've never been here when the weather wasn't either too cool or too hot for me to patio sit. I've eaten here a few times and would go back again. read more

The Hawaiian burger was recommended to me by the bartender and it did NOT miss!! It was delicious and I'm glad I took her up on her recommendation. Service was terrific. No complaints!! But I also tend to have a low standard and a more patience when it comes to the service industry since I used to work in it. So take that for what you will. read more

This is one of my favorite places to visit when I'm home in York. The location is great with it being so close to many suburban neighborhoods. The food is always outstanding, no matter what my party orders. The menu is pretty expansive - and everything sounds sooo good. I got the Vault punch to start, and then ordered some pretzel sticks and a chicken parm sub with curly fries. As always, everything tasted amazing. We sat at the bar and the service was great. My friend left a review because this restaurant was empty at 4:20P but the owner declined to serve us as our party had not completely arrived. We were hungry, so we went to a convenience store and grabbed something to eat while we waited. That convenience store got paid $. So, when everyone in our party had finally gathered, we returned to the restaurant and ordered drinks and appetizers. The angry owner strutted out to our table and informed us that he was comping the food and that we could pay for our drinks and go. He continued that if we were going to leave bad yelp reviews, we were not welcome in his business. Apparently, he read my friend's review. This was a huge opportunity for that owner to make an awesome impression and to recover us as raving fans of his business. Had service been over the top amazing, we would have taken that other review down. We did pay for our drinks and we did leave. On our way out, this owner continued to provoke and accuse us, saying, "Yeah, go ahead and leave more reviews!" So, since he invited me to do so, I am leaving this review. Perhaps, I should also write up a complaint on the BBB website as well. Perhaps, I should also call OSHA because anyone who treats paying customers like this probably treats their staff like crap and rolls his eyes at workplace standards and cleanliness. Hey, terribly confused about what it is that you do owner, Please consider another line of work. You seem to either have no self-control or emotional self-management or you have no idea what customer service ought to look like and you have no gracious hosting abilities within you. Feel free to send us your sincere apology and an invitation to use your restaurant on our terms without hassling us for our existence and we will give you one more chance to win our business. Not talked about enough is the indoor/outdoor seating area with the separate bar. It's a great place to be when the glass doors are open and the perfect spot for lunch with co-workers. The food is always excellent and cooked the way you ask. read more

We really like this restaurant. Fair prices and tasty food. Only negative is the seating. Somewhere in the recent past the manager won't seat you if two people walk in and asked how many and we say four as our friends are meeting us they make us wait. Last night was a prime example. The place was fairly empty plenty of seating both inside and on patio but waitress grabbed menus and kept looking out the window for our friends arrival while we stood around and waited. After a stressful day at work my husband wanted to treat me to a relaxing meal out. We decided on this place because we've enjoyed it many times in the past. However I had the WORST experience last evening and today. I ordered the baladamic dressing for my salad and once I put it on there was a thick sauce left in the bottom. It smelled like soy sauce and tasted like it too. I took a bite of salad and it was SO salty. I told the bartender and after going back to the kitchen she said that IS balsamic dressing. We can replace the salad but without the chicken. ???? It's a MEAT & POTATO SALAD! I asked to speak to the owner. He came out and defended his dressing (like I don't know the difference between soy sauce and balsamic). Then he said he was going to take it off my check. I said I wanted another salad because I was hungry. He started to say OK and asked me what dressing I wanted and I was trying to ask if he was going to put chicken in it. However he kept rudely talking over me. Finally I asked if he was going to let me finish speaking? He stopped long enough for me to ask my question and then answered yes. When I asked what kind of dressings they had he listed them like he was an auctioneer. I went with the ranch and ended up taking it to go. The next day when I went to eat my salad I found a huge bone in a piece of chicken and dirt in my lettuce!!! This place has obviously gone downhill since it opened and I will NEVER go back. The food and service was good. However, the owner was not so nice. We had an employee get together on a Thursday afternoon from 2:00 until 4:30. The owner was getting nasty to our manager starting at 4:00 saying we had to leave by 4:30 which was not a problem with us at all. A small group of 12 asked this owner if they could stay for dinner and he got very angry and said they had to leave and re-entry through the front door to be seated again. Well, needless to say, they did exit but did not return and went to a much friendlier nearby restaurant. None of us will every return to this establishment again. Just me and one other we were going to sit down and order some drinks and appetizers while we waited for the other 2 of our party to arrive in a few minutes. They would not seat us since they have a policy that no matter what they wouldn't sit partial parties. After being a hostess myself I understand how frustrating partial parties are BUT on a Tuesday night where the restaurant was dead this policy doesn't make sense to me. The hostesses even called the owner and he came in. He would not make any exemptions and was very rude and did not have any form of customer service. I can never understand how a business owner can be so rude and nieve and practically reject business when his restaurant was empty. I'm not saying make exceptions all the time but use discretion. Needless to say... the customer service from upper management is garbage and the food is mediocre. EDIT- The owner came over to our table after we had ordered drinks and kicked us out. He slammed our check onto our table and kicked us out. He read my review and told me that "bad reviews do more harm than good". Bad reviews in my eyes are an integral part of a business. They are a great way ti learn how to grow your business. The owner is an asshole who refuses to learn and grow as a person. I'm sure his huge and unreasonable ego is part of the reason why his employees seem scared of him. Why is the owner of a business sitting reading reviews instead of properly running a business where people want to enjoy their food and their time? As we were walking out he even berated us as we left at his request. He rudely slammed at the sign of his policy and yelled at me as a young girl to read it. Never go here! My daughter & I arrived early before our friends because we were starving & thirsty! We thought we'd get some drinks & appetizers while we waited. As we were finishing the app, the owner comes over, nostrils flaring and slams the check on the table and tells us to pay our bill and leave! He was angrily yelling about some bad review and how that really hurts his business. Excuse me sir, (I use the term loosely) it's not the reviews that hurt your business, it's YOU!!!! You could've redeemed yourself and reputation, we respected your policy. You proved all the other reviews that were left calling you terrible names! You could've been nice, you could've redeemed yourself, but you chose negativity. He must not like money, as he obviously didn't want ours. I feel really sorry for his staff. Please someone check on them! He continued to yell at us as we left and berated my daughter! I'm so appalled...I've never had such an experience...I'm actually shaking, I'm so rattled. My friends and I are in our mid-40s and this was the first time any of us have been told to leave an establishment. Two of my friends arrived early tonight (a Tuesday) and, due to a VERY strict policy of not seating partial parties, even though the restaurant was virtually empty, the owner refused to seat them so they could start an order. One of my friends is diabetic and was starving, so they went to a convenience store and bought food. While doing this, the other one left a negative review here on yelp about the seating policy. They returned and after our other friend and I arrived, we were seated. We had a very nice server. I think she was nice in the way that adults who are embarrassed by their child's bad behavior are extra nice to compensate/apologize. We ordered an appetizer and drinks and our food. Before our main courses came out, the owner came to our table, told us to pay for our drinks (we ordered two alcoholic beverages) and leave because he saw our bad review. He was offended and said the review does more harm than good. So you can tell just how empty the restaurant was because this man-child had time to read a Yelp review! Instead of explaining the policy and being nice, he told us to leave. I made sure our server saw the tip we left and told her to make sure she got it because I didn't trust that jackass not to take it all for himself. He seems like the kind of guy who would do something like that. On the way out, he TAUNTED US by pointing at the policy and telling us to "go ahead and leave more reviews." Literally dared us. So we have. You'll know he's there by the flashy blue BMW with the "Vault" license plate in the parking lot. Because of course he drives a flashy BMW in Shiloh. Ok bro. Please pray for the staff. Afterwards, we had a DELICIOUS meal at Greer's up the street in Dover and finished with ice cream at Sarah's Creamery. The best! Based on the other horrible reviews (not just from my friends and me) and the fact that this poor excuse for a business owner hasn't responded to any of them (because he clearly reads them!!), nor has he learned his lesson, do yourself a favor and eat literally anywhere else. My 1st time patronizing this establishment & I enjoyed it. I just got a quick bite to take out. The staff was fast & friendly. The atmosphere seemed inviting. They have a beer pickup cooler in the front, a dining area, a bar, & a little outside patio. I ordered their Greek burger & French fries. The Greek burger is my second fave GB I've ever had. The bun had grill marks (a nice touch), was slightly crunchy, but soft & fresh at the same time. I really enjoyed the feta, tomatoes, olives, & Tzatziki sauce. The burger, while nothing special, was good. The fries were hot & tasty. I just purchased a home nearby & am looking forward to coming back here to try more stuff read more

The Vault was a very welcome addition to Shiloh. The second location to open (and the only one I've been too), I've never had a conplaint. Prices are fair, service is typically pretty awesome, and the owner is usually there during the day which is pretty cool. A couple TVs make it a nice place to watch the game or shoot the shit with some friends. Also, the fact that the location actually used to be a bank is legit -- the "vault" is a really awesome focal point in the dining area. However, I feel like if you tried to steal the gold bars from there, you'd be rather disappointed. Typically I always get the same thing because the Bacon and Bleu Burger is phenomenal...but they have a really solid menu selection. Tried the Spicy Mac and Cheese bites today and they were...delicious. But I love mac and cheese, so I may be biased in my opinion of the dish. One of my friends said that it's the best place to get gyros in York, so take that as you will. The Vault also sells six packs of a pretty decent selection of beers, which is a huge plus. Not too many places do that anymore, so it makes it stand out from the crowd. Overall, The Vault is a good choice for some reasonably priced food, drinks, and a nice atmosphere! Four stars simply because I haven't tried most of the menu. Will update in the future. read more

We have eaten here for years. We had a situation around the Covid shut down where the owner yelled at us for being too loud. Understandably, as we were celebrating one of our coworkers who decided to change professions. Although the owners tone wasn't appropriate and approach was aggressive, we respected his request and respectfully left the establishment. Some of our group indicated they would never return after the way he treated our group, but I was like, maybe he was just having a bad day. Which then takes me to tonight...because my entire party wasn't there, they wouldn't seat a table of 7. I explained to the owner, that's fine, seat our table of 4 but we will order for a table of 7. She then replied, I cant guarantee we can seat the group of 7. Ok fine seat us as a table of 4 but regardless, we will order for 7. The owner then slammed a chair down and said sit here. As I was venting to the individuals at my table, the owner came over and reprimanded me like a child in the principals office. He indicated he could hear me talking about the situation and I guess felt he needed to put me in my place. Interestingly, prior to being seated, the owners began speaking in Greek which was obviously about me since prior to that they spoke English just fine! We ate, waitress staff was wonderful, and honestly we were in and out as fast as other tables seated around the same time as us even though 3 people were not present at the time of being seated. Per the owners, they only had 2 servers which why there was an issue with seating our party of 7. As we were leaving, I tried to have an adult conversation with the owners, who then proceeded to, for the most part yell at me saying I didn't respect their policies. Moral of this story, upon being seated, I should have said we'll be seated with my party of 4 and order 3 meals to go even though my party of 7 was fully seated by the time our food came. So disappointed because I value supporting small businesses but as I was leaving the owner said, "I know you won't ever come back here, but it looks like me doing just fine." read more

The waitress was the only positive thing that happened my wife and i are African American and we politely asked to take the fish taco's meal that was ordered with another meal off the tab because the fish smelled like it was spoiled. The waitress agreed that it was spoiled and took it back to the kitchen the owner who also was the one who prepared the meal came to our table with the meal and was extremely nasty and defensive saying that there was nothing wrong with the fish and that we we're going to pay for it and when we refused he charged it to our card anyway . The young lady at the counter was rather snooty and very unwelcoming. Told her I wanted to order for carry out Just assumed I knew what I wanted, had to ask for a menu and then it was a bother. Then I changed my mind before I even paid, but she had sent the order to the kitchen. So again just acted like it was a huge problem. Our great office manager decided to have an appreciation celebration with food and drink to celebrate getting back to some normalcy from 2:00 to 4:30 PM. It was a shame that the fun filled event of 35 people had to be dampened by the owner's tantrum. We had to absolutely vacate the restaurant by 4:30, which we were prepared to do so. By 4:00 he was harassing her about the time. He was indignant to my manager in getting out for his dinner crowd. At 4:30, while leaving, there were 5 people at the bar and nobody sitting in the restaurant We asked if several of us (12) could stay for dinner and he continued his belligerent ranting and said we would need to leave and walk back in to be seated (WHAT!!!) Yes we obliged, walked out NEVER to return. I guess our $800.00 tab wasn't sufficient on a "Thursday Afternoon" Fortunately our server was outstanding. read more
