I've been seeing Dr. Sheaff for more than 5 years. I'm truly grateful to have a dentist I can rely on for all of my dental needs. I have had a few procedures with Dr. Sheaff: Cosmetic- My front teeth have never looked better. (See picture) My 4 middle teeth perfectly blend in shape and color! My previous cosmetic work was dated and didn't fit my smile. Cleaning- I have never had better cleanings. It's definitely different than other cleaning because they have a special tool. To me it looks like a scraping tool that blasts water to remove that yucky build up. The cleanings last longer than my previous as well. Night guard- He made me what looks like a half plastic retainer that lines my teeth. I wear it nightly and it has helped my relax my jaw and protect my teeth. It was a must for my clenching jaw pain. He takes the conservative approach to repair, opting for the patients best interest over the simple solution, and does so with the utmost care. He also communicates the plan of care effectively, so that you know every step in your care. Lastly, I have never once felt discomfort from the dental analgesics, either from the needle and delivery or during dental work! Additionally, his Dental Hygienist Crystal is the most thorough, kind and gentle hygienist I've ever had the pleasure of being a patient for. She genuinely loves her job, takes the time to do the best cleaning she possibly can, and does so in the most gentle fashion. I have had receding gum lines that other hygienists have nearly had me in tears over, yet I could fall asleep in Crystals chair if I didn't have to follow directions or keep my mouth open! I used to be terrified of the dentist because of a bad experience when I was younger. When I moved to Concord in 2012, my wife basically forced me to go to the dentist because I hadn't been in over 10 years! She has been going to Dr. Sheaff since she was a little girl and her family members go to him as well. When I met Dr. Sheaff, he immediately made my feel comfortable (with his soft-spoken, relaxing voice) and I had faith he'd take care of me. My teeth were bad but he wasn't judgmental and did everything he could to make me comfortable. I've been going to him since 2012 and I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist in the Concord area! He is professional, his office is extremely clean and he's a bit OCD when doing work on your mouth (which is a good thing because you know he'll be thorough)! I have a Million Dollar smile :-) I have been seen by DDS from around the world (I have lived abroad twice) and now adays most DDS are foreign born. My million dollar smile comes from all the $$ I have put into my teeth. I was 21 when I had my first gum graft, my Dad lost all but two of his teeth by the age of 30. Yes, my teeth are my real teeth, I have paid for them painfully and financially! I have been a patient of Dr. Sheaff's off/on 10+ years when I am in the area. Dr. Sheaff has a gentle quality about him, very soft spoken, he explains every thing to me and keeps the conversation lively but most importantly he understands that I am a BIG BABY when it comes to Dental care. I have a hard time seeing the instruments approaching my mouth especially the injection, Last month I tried talking him into placing a filling without the Novocaine shot, I think most DDS would have thrown me out of their office at that point. I had a filling placed a few weeks ago, I called him after office hours because I thought half my tooth broke off, He spent 10 minutes on the phone talking me through what I thought happened and suggested I see how my tooth feels in the morning and call his office if I need to be seen. I can't believe I haven't reviewed my Dentist of 32 years! I think I was 10 years old when he gave me my very first filling. Years ago, my job changed dental providers forcing me to join another network of doctors. It was those experiences that lead me back to Dr. Sheaff and I remember thinking, "I'll pay out of pocket if need me". So here I am and I have nothing but positive things to say.
