The place itself isn't big. It has two floors, and each floor has a different vibe. It was packed when we got there, you need to make a reservation in advance, we hoped to find a spot at the bar but there were few seats, and all taken. Downstairs area is nice and vibrant, upstairs calm and chill (a server found us a spot there). We started with beer flights, I found my favorites: Hobart with peach ! , Briar and High Desert. They have also an IPA selection (interesting broken bridge, hazy with grapefruit) I like to explore flavors so that was something new to me. The food - unfortunately, not top notch. Great neighborhood brewery! What surprised me the most was the food. I ordered the southwest chicken salad. Big salad but we'll portioned ingredients. I also liked the lettuce was not bathed in dressing. My friend had the caprese sliders and really enjoyed them. I sampled a few beers and enjoyed them all. Such a hidden gem! Briar common is a cute eatery with a beautiful interior and great rooftop patio. We came on a Wednesday evening and had to sit at the bar because it was so busy, so I'd definitely recommend a reservation! Also- parking is slim so I'd carpool if possible! They have a wide selection of delicious beverages (their own beer, cocktails made with local spirits, etc). I tried the Watermelon Paloma and loved it! My friends also got beet and I tried a sip of that and also enjoyed it. I ordered a few things to split and we loved it all! We started with green chili beer cheese fries and split the black bean burger, bacon mac n cheese, and elote side salad. My favorite was the Elote salad, I would definitly come back and order the steak version of this salad!! Love this place -- both for happy hour and brunch. Their brunch burger with pork belly and runny egg is a hungover person's dream. And for the vegetarians, their buffalo cauliflower is awesome too. A half portion of it is also now on happy hour for $6 (also on happy hour is an awesome double patty little cheeseburger, a super juicy portobello burger, and two big chicken tacos). I'm also a fan of their seasonal cocktail on happy hour, which is currently their Strawberry Vanilla Fizz -- and of course their own beers (the spicy chili one is a must try just for how unique it is). Not on happy hour but totally worth the money is the London Fog cocktail (that's what my usual go-to drink at Starbucks is called so I had to try it). Very hip, cool little pub/brewery. We went on a Wednesday night with a reservation and were sat immediately. The atmosphere is cozy without being crowded and lively without being too loud. And the service was excellent. A fun and versatile dinner spot. We took my mom, who loved the place. I would also go here with a group of friends or date night. It's definitely a cool place to bring out-of-towners. Three stars for the food; the beer and atmosphere bring my review to 4 stars. The food was just meh for me. It was average brewery foods, but from everyone's glowing reviews, I think I expected something better. The beer is something to brag about though!! I had a spicy chili and guava beer!! Nice place to hang out with friends! The location is great with free street parking and there was no wait for a group of us on a Friday night. The service was friendly as well. Knocking off a star because I tried the July feature drink (peach basil smash) and it was not good. The color of the drink was very unappealing and the taste was neither peach or basil. He gave usbsome samples so we could choose our drinks without worry. The food was amazing. We tried a number of plates and none of them were bad. Called ahead to check if they could accommodate a party of 12 with indoor seating (gotta love impromptu reunions with college friends!) The staff at Briar Common were all very accommodating to our group which almost doubled in size to 20 adults/kids. My personal favs were the buffalo cauliflower and portobello sandwich. My taste buds were thrilled with the buffalo appetizer which I could have easily eaten as an entree and left highly satisfied. The portobello sandwich was so flavorful but not too heavy for lunch on a hot summer afternoon. The duck fat popcorn was also fun to try (yes, you read that correctly!) However, I'd hands down choose the buffalo cauliflower over the duck-fat popcorn. Anyway, they also offer a kid-menu with the usual suspects (grilled cheese, fried chicken breasts, fruit, chips, burger and mac & cheese) which makes it easy peasy for those who have at least one picky eater *raises hand*. Speaking of kids, I bookmarked Briar Common because of its proximity to the Denver Children's Museum which is 1/2 a mile away. So, if you need a bite before or after the museum or aquarium, this is your spot. The brewery is located on a corner across from Jefferson Park. Now THAT is how you do fish and chips! They were nice and crispy and just all around amazing. The food here from my one experience is great and so were the different fruity beers we tried. Service was alright, not memorable but didn't bring it down at all. This place was super cute!!! I'm visiting Denver and of course me and my girls needed to get some brunch....and endless mimosas are much needed. This place did not disappoint. Anna our server was super great. Very friendly, gave us great recommendations of things to do in the city, was all around great server. Tho you have a 2 hr time limit for your table it was just enough time. Anna came and refilled out mimosas without us even asking. It was lovely. Less than half here she comes! I noticed everyone ordering the Buffalo cauliflower so of course I had to get it, and it was delicious! Flavorful and crispy! And that blue cheese they had with it OMG! And I don't like blue cheese lol. I got the steak and eggs for my meal. I ordered it medium came out a little more well done but still good nonetheless. Lars is by far the most thoughtful server we've had in years. He really is wonderful - so glad we stopped in!

My wife and I went in last week on a Friday. We didn't have any reservations and we're figuring that we might not get a spot at the bar because it was peak dinner hour. The host told us it was going to be about a 30 min wait for a bar spot which isn't long so we decided to wait. As we were waiting the manager came over and brought us over to the end of the bar grabbed us some waters. He noticed my wife was pregnant and grabbed and extra bar stool from upstairs for her to sit and showed her all of the nonalcoholic beverage options they had, without us even asking. As someone that had worked in the industry that was a top class move. We eventually got a seat at the bar upstairs and the service from Ryan was fantastic. Great food and drink recommendations and made our night fantastic. A++ all around. We will definitely be coming back read more

It took about a year, but I did finally get to sit down at Briar Common, with a last minute early weeknight dinner. The beer menu, though not expansive did have a lot of great options and my server was happy to bring some tasters. I landed on the rye saison, which was delicious. The food was very solid: large portions with more fries or kettle chips than you can finish on your own. Overall, a good experience and I will likely be back every now and then. read more

Arugula Strawberries and oranges in poppyseed dressing. The price before protein $16.99. There was one strawberry and 3 pieces of orange and 3 slices of radish. The salad dressing was delish. The extra protein was $8. I didn't see any other prices for menu items. The salad was not worth the price although it taste great. The lemongrass mock tail was awesome too. read more

The fries are absolutely the best!! Served with old school ketchup but better yet, the aioli was just amazing! I don't eat fries but the husband and I polished them off! He had turkey Club and it was very good and the side salad was huge!! I ordered the autumn salad and it was awful. Welcome me to your cool space with a beer taster? YES PLEASE! My friend and I met for a reunion dinner after 11 years when I came to Denver for a mini vacation. We shared the much-lauded buffalo cauliflower, brussels sprouts, and seasonal salad--all of which were very delicious. I also had the blackberry mule and spicy mango-peach margarita, which were both very good. The service was great and when they didn't need the table they didn't rush us out with the 2 hour time limit, and in fact our server (who was great) dropped us two jello shots on learning of our long overdue reunion. They offer to bring over beer samples and are super knowledgeable about their menu items. Food - Everything is incredible! I've tried the fried chicken sandwich, Mac & cheese, and ahi tuna poke. I really appreciate that Billy from Briar Common takes the time to read and respond to many of these reviews- it really shows he cares about his guests. Thanks to his kind response, I made sure to get back to give them another chance after a not-so-great first experience and I am glad I did! We visited around 8:30 on a Saturday evening and were able to snag a last minute table downstairs. Our waiter was super friendly and ready with suggestions on both drinks and food. He even had some 14ner reccs for us! The food was a huge improvement over last time as well. The buffalo cauliflower was once again amazing and I was very pleasantly surprised by the black bean burger which was super flavorful and not dry. There's poured concrete bar tops, chalk board signage, exposed brick abound, adorable string lights across the patios - def all the vibes! SIPS: On top of featuring a full bar, they also offer a killer lineup of house brewed beers! During our visit I opted for pours of the Bees Knees - a solid raspberry honey blonde and the Sour Seoul - a kimchi-inspired sour chili ale! Whoa! They were both so good! If you're struggling to make up your mind they offer flight of four for $10. SUSTENANCE: Aside from brewing a tasty beer or mixing up some killer unique cocktails, they offer a full kitchen! Briar Common even offers up a variety of vegetarian and gluten free options for those with dietary restrictions. Seeing that we had arrived during happy hour (with a $10 burger and brew deal) the fiancé and I opted to split the happy hour burger. While it was on the smaller side and very simple - it was DELISH! Sometimes you don't need to dress it up. SERVICE: On point! Our server gave our little group of four the perfect amount of attention. She was friendly and helpful answering our questions and bringing over a couple tasters so we could sample some brews before getting a full pour. LOVE briar common! My only tip is to avoid it on game days at Empower because the roads close around the restaurant and it's typically pretty packed. Otherwise, the rooftop is great. I wish they had a better dog friendly patio, it's a pretty sad excuse for a patio at the moment, but there really isn't much they could do because of the strange triangle corner location. The buffalo cauliflower is great! I also love their seasonal side house salad. read more

The Buffalo cauliflower is always the go to for apps. It is a huge serving so easily could be your entree. Breakfast sandwich isn't anything insanely different than others but a good sandwich!! Typically is pretty busy Thursday, Friday and Saturday. If you have a small group, can easily put your name in and hit a bar near for by a drink while you wait. I met a group of friends here last week for happy hour and it was great! Love the ambiance of the building and all the exposed brick. We started off with the happy hour menu and got fries, buffalo cauliflower, brussels sprouts, chicken schwarma and the pretzel. The food came out fast and the portions were great. The cauliflower, fries and pretzel were the favorites. The drinks were great were great as well. I had the bee's knees and midnight sun beers and orange fizz. A friend had the fig old fashioned which was delicious. The staff was so patient, kind and accommodating as we were a bit loud and a couple more people joined our group than we had originally thought. After most of our group left a few of us stayed and moved to the bar and had more drinks and cheeseburgers which hit the spot! Again the bar staff was very attentive and helpful. We stayed at an AirBNB near here that, unfortunately, didn't have air conditioning. This became our hangout in the evenings at the recommendation of our host. The ambiance is cozy and chic; we were comfortable staying for dinner and drinks. Servers were attentive and never rushed us. The beer and cocktail list was impressive and interesting. My friends sampled several of the beers and raved about them. The fried chicken was outstanding (at least, the small bite I snagged from a friend's plate). I had some magical farmer's market quinoa dish that was full of fresh, bright veggies. And then another night, I countered that by having a burger -- a perfectly cooked, flavorful burger.
