We loved this place from an atmosphere standpoint and food standpoint. It was great for us and our dogs. The only qualm we have was that the beers were only okay. It's still a 5/5 and we are excited to keep trying more beers here. They have everything we could want in a brewery and it very well may have just been our taste in beers. This was our first time here and really loved it! We were just looking for something close to the aquarium and found Briar Common. The black bean burger was the best I've had in a really long time. Same with the buffalo cauliflower--it wasn't a super heavy breading and the flavor and texture was sooo good. The flavor of the bees knees beer was just right, sweet but light. The inside has a large downstairs and a smaller upstairs area with a rooftop (that's closed in the winter). There is a bar on both levels! Casual and comfortable seating! Great for grabbing a drink and bite before a night in Denver. I got a beer flight and all of them were yummy! For food I split a bunch of appetizers and my friend got the fish & chips. Two words. Buffalo. Cauliflower. It is so good, spicy and perfect when dipped in the Bleu cheese. Man! We came here prior to the Broncos preseason game and had a great time on the rooftop deck. It was busy and only two bartenders for about 30 people in addition to the private party in the same space inside the rooftop area. We were patient and all the staff was kind and helpful. They have killer watermelon Paloma's and a nice beer list for the hubs. We looked at other food options but they were all to go style on the patio since there weren't any tables and chairs. We'll definitely return and don't hesitate to try them out prior to a Broncos game. It's an easy 10 minute walk straight to the stadium. read more

We came here the other day for drinks. It was nice that they have a rooftop patio and it's a good spot to catch up with friends. I struggled a little with the beer menu. I ended up with a seltzer which was alright. The service left a little bit to be desired. We didn't end up ordering food so I can't comment on that. read more

This place pulled up as closest to where we were at the Empowerfield Stadium. Walking is roughly about 20 mins to the place, but it didn't feel like it. When we got there, everything was a first come basis. The place was already decently packed at the 3:30 hour. We were lucky enough to find 3 available seats at this big table. I ordered a mule on this hot beautiful day. We didn't order any appetizers and just ordered our entrees. My niece got the steak frites with Parmesan fries, sister got the fried chicken sandwich with kettle chips, and I got the beer-bq burger with fries. My niece really enjoyed her entree and said that they cooked her steak perfectly and she enjoyed her whole meal. My sister didn't quite enjoy her sandwich as she felt the spicy was a little overwhelming for her, compared to other spicy chicken sandwiches. My hamburger was cooked to my liking and I really enjoyed my hamburger. It was a very good hamburger, but the fries could've been a little more crisp. Restaurants like Briar are a great example of taking necessary safety precautions while maintaining an efficient ordering system. I was lured in by their "Crazy Covid Crowler Deals." 50% off your first two crowlers with a food purchase. Briar IPA, Das Bueno Lager and Common Comrade Belgian DIPA. When every day of the week seems like a case of the Mondays, this is exactly what the doctor ordered. My roommate and I spanned these out over a few nights and they were all solid. Particularly the latter, which was my favorite! My girlfriend raved about her Seasonal Salmon dish. I snuck a few bites and boy it was tasty! A composed salmon dish might seem odd for takeout, but they do it right here. I snacked on the Crispy Brussels Sprouts app, and all I can say is hell yeah. Garlic, sesame, soy and sriracha took this simple dish to new heights. Delivery took practically no time at all. They are currently delivering within a five mile radius. The wife and I were headed to a concert at Empower Field and decided to eat here given its walkability to both the parking area we paid for (lot "H") and to the field itself. It is a very snug space despite having a main floor (with booths, high tops and bar seating) plus outside and upstairs seating; on any event day would recommend having a reservation (we saw many people get turned away) as the night went on). Of note, they also put a (reasonable) time limit on our table from when we were seated. We wanted to order a flight of beers, however, they said they could not offer that during "event nights" because it would "back up the bar too much." Although I find this odd considering it is all from a tap, but none the less, small spaces sometimes require odd restrictions- it wouldn't have bothered me that much except our server was not super pleasant and had a bit of an attitude, as if she was already stressed out for the night (mind you it was only about 5pm), and could have let us know this disappointment in a much nicer way. Nonetheless, we ordered a beer each instead without issue. To eat we ordered the (Nasheville hot) chicken sandwich with elote corn side (upcharge to replace chips), and an Ahi tuna salad. The Chicken sandwich was decent but honestly not spicy at all IMO. The elote corn, however, I could only eat a few bites at a time as it was VERY spicy in comparison. The Ahi tuna salad was SUPER fresh and delicious with excellent mixture and ratio of ingredients; perfect tuna; and overall well dressed and seasoned. The best appetizer I've ever had. The cauliflower Buffalo blew my mind. First off, it can feed 5-6 people as an appetizer or be shared as a meal for two. I was expecting something small because of the pictures it looked so elegant but it came out like it could feed an army. Fish and chips were better than I've had in Florida. Beautifully done. I meant to take a picture of our food before we ate it but too late! We just got take out from Briar Common - THEY ARE OPEN! Not only can you take out food or get delivery, you can also throw in a cocktail. They were very organized when we picked food up so we didn't have to interact with too many people and they even included a roll of toilet paper! What else could you ask for? We got our go-to order which, for both me and my boyfriend, is the fried chicken sandwich. It is a perfect mix of crispy salty and refreshing with its pickles and cole slaw. We also like to order a side of the blackberry compote to add onto the sandwich for a little extra flavor , although it is incredible without as well. We have also tried the burger, buffalo cauliflower and roasted mushrooms on different visits which were all great. I added pics of those ! Chose this place to have dinner with some friends prior to the Nuggets game and it was quite a success. At first we were not sure why someone was bringing us beer samples but we accepted them anyway and everyone got to enjoy their own favorite beverage. She had an awesome one personality, great convo with the table, recommendations, knew what we needed before we even asked. Such a sweetheart. Between the appetizers and our waitress, they were stellar. So they get stellar words from me. Loved it! The Buffalo Cauliflower was hands down, some of the best I've ever had. Flash-fried, huge portions, buffalo wasn't too overwhelming with spice, just right, and the blue cheese throughout the platter was perfect. So good! The Brussels sprouts, came out hot and fresh. Had a nice, light Asian-like glaze on them. Delicious and packed a punch in flavor. Another hit at the table. The burger I got, The Briar Burger. Sadly, it was underwhelming. The patty itself wasn't seasoned, the pork belly was super overcooked, very rubbery. Just overall, no taste or flavor to the burger. But the fries were good - hot, fresh and salted. It was packed when we got there, you need to make a reservation in advance, we hoped to find a spot at the bar but there were few seats, and all taken. Downstairs area is nice and vibrant, upstairs calm and chill (a server found us a spot there). We started with beer flights, I found my favorites: Hobart with peach ! , Briar and High Desert. They have also an IPA selection (interesting broken bridge, hazy with grapefruit) I like to explore flavors so that was something new to me. The food - unfortunately, not top notch. Such a hidden gem! Briar common is a cute eatery with a beautiful interior and great rooftop patio. We came on a Wednesday evening and had to sit at the bar because it was so busy, so I'd definitely recommend a reservation! Also- parking is slim so I'd carpool if possible! They have a wide selection of delicious beverages (their own beer, cocktails made with local spirits, etc). I tried the Watermelon Paloma and loved it! My friends also got beet and I tried a sip of that and also enjoyed it. I ordered a few things to split and we loved it all! We started with green chili beer cheese fries and split the black bean burger, bacon mac n cheese, and elote side salad. My favorite was the Elote salad, I would definitly come back and order the steak version of this salad!! Love this place -- both for happy hour and brunch. Their brunch burger with pork belly and runny egg is a hungover person's dream. And for the vegetarians, their buffalo cauliflower is awesome too. A half portion of it is also now on happy hour for $6 (also on happy hour is an awesome double patty little cheeseburger, a super juicy portobello burger, and two big chicken tacos). I'm also a fan of their seasonal cocktail on happy hour, which is currently their Strawberry Vanilla Fizz -- and of course their own beers (the spicy chili one is a must try just for how unique it is). Not on happy hour but totally worth the money is the London Fog cocktail (that's what my usual go-to drink at Starbucks is called so I had to try it).
