I've resided in my townhome for almost 6 months now and I love it. Dominique helped make my move in process such a breeze. I know I had tons of questions so I appreciate you so much! I loved the welcoming gifts, I thought that was so sweet. That extra touch made me smile on move in day. I have come across minor maintenance problems but maintenance was so quick to respond and resolve the issue. Honestly, this is one of my favorite apartments I've ever lived in. I absolutely love my apartment itself. I have heard one of my neighbors exactly one time (and one of them had a baby!), so the sound proofing is great. The people who take care of the community do a really fantastic job. Xochitl has to be one of the hardest working people out there, and she's always a delight when I run into her. Edwin and everyone in the office is also really awesome. They were really kind in unexpected ways when my dog passed, something I will always appreciate. Rafael and the maintenance crew here is the best! My requests, few as they've been, have always been taken care of really quickly (including when my garage door clicker ran out of batteries at an ungodly hour of the morning). Rafael is quick and efficient, and often solves other problems when he stops by to deal with my initial issue. When fixing a plumbing issue in my apartment, he noticed something else was old and about to start causing issues, so he replaced that too! While there is a lot of homelessness around, causing the space outside of our community to be a little...sketchy, as a single woman living here alone, I have never worried about my safety. I used to walk my dog around the neighborhood outside of our community every morning and never had any issues. Personally, I've never had packages stolen or anything taken out of my garage. I love the fact that our little community is kind of it's own little oasis inside the gates. I think it's really great that kids can run around safely (and they are honestly super respectful and adorable). My windows are open almost all year round, and I love when their laughter makes its way to my second floor apartment. I've been here for two years now, and I hope to be here many more! (And you can tell I'm a real personand not a fake because I [quite comically] used to live in another apartment with a very similar name and left them a... not very nice Yelp review many years ago. So happy I live here now :) read more

Just Don't .... This apartment complex doesn't offer any kind of security it's over run by homless they sleep every where and take over empty garages. That's not half of the problems forget getting Amazon packages they get stolen every day and unfortunately the police or the apartment management don't do any thing about it. According to them they have to catch them on the act. I have multiple videos of homeless individuals stealing from our door... Take your time and make your self a big favor and don't move here.... read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Started out in a 1 bedroom in 2020. Had an issue with mice within the first month. All because they left gaps between the kitchen appliances and the walls. Their solution was to have their pest control people put glue traps in those areas. I quickly had them come fill the gaps instead. We also had CONSTANT issues with neighbors. The people next to us would have music, TV, and games on LOUD at ALL HOURS of the day. We also had a neighbor across the courtyard arrested because he was high and running around naked in the courtyard. Another neighbor's unit caught on fire because he left something in the oven and forgot to take it out when he turned it on. Total circus. We moved into one of the 2-story townhouses in 2021. Thought the issues would lessen... no. They got worse. These units are NOT worth the money. The ONLY plus to them is having the in-unit laundry. Everything else about them is terrible. We noticed (and felt) nails sticking up in the carpeted stairs right after moving in. We also found out AFTER moving in that our unit flooded before we moved in. Management never bothered to tell us about it. We had nonstop issues with the floors... assuming from the flooding. We lived close to the little park inside the complex and a handful of parents let their kids go out there and play without any supervision.. resulting in SCREAMING kids constantly. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet community where you can keep your windows and doors open for fresh air.. this is NOT the place for you. If it's not screaming kids outside, it's homeless people walking around and yelling or cops in the complex arresting someone or looking for someone. They have a BIG issue with two things: hot water and homeless people. They had issues with hot water at LEAST twice a month, every month. I lost count of how many cold showers we had to take. Also, beware that there is a big homeless community directly across the street. They will steal packages, enter garages and steal items, and walk through the courtyards often. If you are considering Briarwood... LOOK ELSEWHERE! This place is THE WORST! read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE PLEASE DO NOT!! Visitor parking sucks there's always the same cars parked in the visitors spots and we can never have anyone over if we do they have to park 2 streets down and walk. Also the washer and dryers seem to always be broken and only have a couple running. The residents also like to leave their clothes in the dryer for hours and hours or over night. I called the office about this and was told I could carry my wet clothes to another laundry unit on the other side of the complex. Last it's so hard to get ahold of someone at the leasing office. No one seems to answer. We also got screwed over when we moved out but glad we did. I must say the maintenance guys were awesome super nice and friendly but that's all that this apartment complex has going for them. read more

Lived there for two years DO NOT THINK OF MOVING IN!!!!! Maintenance was great but that's the only good note about the apartments, there is never any visitor parking and people constantly parked in a spot you pay for, the units themselves are subpar, cheap carpet, cheap paint that peels if you look at it not to mention the flooring it cheap and it's a know problem Edwin mentioned to me and my wife at the move out inspection that it get blacks spots from the glue that's used and that explains why the spots were in our unit, people don't pick up after their pets and kids are constantly running around yelling and screaming all hours of the day. There is a rodent and pest problem even though they have exterminating come every month or so they say. There is a big homeless encampment across the street they are always fighting and arguing, packages get stolen all the time and don't get me started with the water multiple times a month it's shut off due to maintenance in return you will have no hot water for hours and sometimes overnight, trash facilities are always overflowing and full bags just hanging on the fence due to not being put in the trash can the homeless always digging through cans and making a mess of the area. So save yourself a trip and not to mention the headaches and look elsewhere read more

We just moved into this complex and we love love it. Brian helped us from the day I came in for tour and continues to do so after the move-in. He is professional, knowledgeable about the property, and very responsive during the application and rental approval process. I have looked at many other properties and Brian is an extraordinary property consultant. He is amazing!! The management office is COVID-19 conscious and the property is sanitized and cleaned every few hours a day. The property is spectacular and pet-friendly. The neighbors are friendly. It located centrally to Central Park, library, many restaurants, stores, and freeways. Highly recommend living here! read more

I truly love living here. The entire staff has been attentive and incredibly quick with helping us since we moved in. Ellie, who helped us get started and handled our process, has always been communicative, informative, friendly, and so welcoming to my partner and I. I feel safe here! When there was a noisy lurker one night that tried to approach the neighborhood and made me feel a bit uneasy, the entire staff jumped in to assist with thorough neighborhood/security protocol, and made sure that I had proper contact info for assistance in the future just in case. I appreciated that a ton. The laundry units are easy to use and usually available. I love that we have many pools and family areas. There are always friendly maintenance folk around working on the grounds. Everything has been a wonderful experience so far and we are a couple of months in at this point. Parking here sucks. Management shows preferential treatment to certain households in regards to parking near the leasing office after hours. Residents also park in the visitor parking for weeks, and given that there's not many visitor parking spaces available, it's difficult to have company over without trying to save a spot hours before their arrival. read more

The staff here is very helpful and amazing.The maintenance people are very good and always help out. I love the park we live right next to the playground where the townhomes are. The only BAD thing is the RATS and MICE. They have changed out and remodeled are kitchen because all the rat damage and patched up the stairs and the laundry room.They still seem to get in to the place. We constantly have to set traps and have pest control come. We are fairly clean people but it's been almost a year and half with all the rat problems, still no change in the situation I would hate to leave this place but the RAT problem is out of hand now. read more

This is the best rental place I've ever lived and I'm still here. I like that everyone in the leasing office is very nice. Ellie, the one helping me rent the place, is so sweet in making me feeling welcomed. Edwin, the manager, awesome guy. When my key didn't open to the exercise room, he came and helped me right away. Opened the door. Gave me his key to replace it. And the maintenance guys, they are so responsive. My laundry didn't wash well, and they replaced a new one. I know pretty much all of them by name. They are there to help you, they treat you just like family. I moved in January of this year, 2023. So far have been very happy. read more

From the leasing office staff to the maintenance staff. Put in work order and had a quick response. It's been almost a month since we moved here and we are really grateful for Brian for working with us. He's genuinely helpful and very accommodating to our questions and needs. And same goes to the whole team of Briarwood square, from admins to maintenance, they go beyond their jobs to take care of the community. Everyday you will see them cleaning and maintaining the grounds. The admins would greet the tenants and ask if everything is doing well as they reside in the community. They even have emails and flyers to keep reminding the tenants on their responsibilities as well, and that goes to show how they really tried to keep the place nice and livable. Great job Briarwood Square Team! And honestly, I felt bad sometimes for them because there are really other tenants who are not discipline enough to realize that they are part of maintaining good and cleanliness of the community. I actually get annoyed with tenants who doesn't care, and not to the admins because I see them really working their end. There are post for dogs waste and yet you'll still find big poops around because of those irresponsible tenants who just wouldn't pick-up after. Jeez! Also, you'll sometime find the area in trash bins with trash bags being thrown out and not making it inside when they already have a rule not to do it or even leave out outside the bin. I'm like, "Are these people not educated enough to follow rules or too privileged to not listen?" I salute to the person who always cleans up after for these irresponsible people. Anyway, Briarwood Square is a good choice for apartment homes. It's spacious and livable. It's the other tenants who just wouldn't cooperate. read more

What can I say about Briarwood that has not already been said? It is an intermediate size property that has its share of issues as well as its positives. (now the meat and potatoes portion of this review) More however can be said about the staff. As properties go this one has had a fairly high turn over rate with its staff over the years. Most of the bad apples are gone thankfully. Well, except for one new guy, but that would require and entire review just to address his shortcomings...  With that said this brings us to the point of this review. Tai. The person that keeps Briarwood together and keeps residents happy. You see, over the years many of the office staff would just offer canned answers and half hearted explanations, more times than not leaving residents hanging and never reconnecting to resolve issues. Not so with Tai. When she came on board she raised the bar in customer service. Tai offers what is lacking so much in this day and age. A personal touch. If you go to Tai with problems or concerns she will genuinely listen, not just wait for her turn to speak. She understands that people call Briarwood home and that they are more than just a revenue stream for the company. She can see things from a residents perspective and consistently uses the resources available to her to resolve issues and take care of residents. All while maintaining a profesional demeanor even with the most abrasive and stubborn individuals. That in and of itself speaks volumes, being able to get yelled at, screamed at and still do her best to try and work through a tenants issues with them. lt will be a sad day if Tai leaves Briarwood for bigger and better things as those that come after her may be able to fill her position but they will never be able to replace her or provide the unparalleled service that she does read more

This place is completely disgusting. All these good reviews are fake as hell, and probably done by the management. It would figure too because they sure aren't interested in doing much else around here. This whole complex is infested with mice, roaches, and homeless people looking through the trash and making it even nastier. Edwin is a goofy con artist that only cares about sales and filling units. The owners are absent but don't seem to care about the Tennant's that fill their coffers with cash. My family of 3 and I have lived here for 4 years and have a rodent and roach infestation for 3 of them. We've been blamed for the issues and have had our rent raised over and over. We've had water from an adjacent unit flood our kitchen, paint peeling off of the walls and leakes in the ceiling. The finishing work looks like it was done by my 3 year old. It's been the worst experience of my life and I was in the Army. That says a lot. Think about that for a second. Mind you; all the issues we've brought forth have been met with surprise and we've been marginalized. These issues are no surprise. They know these issues exist and continue to do business under the guise of good business practices. We've tried to reach out to the owners out they keep an arms length from their clients and and put a middle man between us and them. They're too good to speak with their Tennant's but not too good to take their money. Don't rent here it's fuckin' trash. read more
