Tiramisu
Gab G.

Made a reservation ahead of time for a group of five. Seating is hightop stools at a long counter so just keep that in mind! I tried: + Calamari in umido + Burrata with prosciutto (special) + Cesare + fettuccine funghi + Gnocchi sorrentina + Lobster ravioli + Tiramisu Lobster ravioli was by far the best dish, followed by the fettuccine. Also really liked the tiramisu. Would definitely return for the pastas!

We had a lovely dinner at Briciola. The ambiance was quaint. We were lucky without a reservation and got three seats at the bar. We order a couple of salads, a side prosciutto, and Parmesan. We also had the Branzino and Pesto Pasta. Overall, the salads were moderately sized, so good as a side. The side prosciutto was a healthy helping that came with delicious olives, dried tomatoes, onions and mushrooms drenched in yummy olive oil. The Parmesan came with walnuts and honey. We felt the helping of cheese could have been just a little more. It was all very good! The branzino had a very delicious lemon caper sauce on top of veggies and mashed potatoes. Pesto pasta had a homemade sauce with artichokes mixed and in Parmesan on top. We just wished we could add a protein to go with it. So good either way. We closed with sharing a tiramisu that's we perfectly layered on top of a nice chocolate sauce. The also gave us a free basket of break with olive and balsamic sauce if you need. All was so good, we will go back when we are back in NY. Highly recommend, but make sure to make a reservation!

After a few days of overeating and celebrating I needed to find a little out of the way place that I could sit on the patio, enjoy a nice glass of wine and maybe some eats. I found it! Briciola and their staff were accommodating and set up a table on the outside for me and immediately brought the wine menu and the specials and regular menu. I asked for the house cab and they asked if I wanted a glass or a glass and a half and you know what I chose. Catarina came out and told me about the menu items. She was very excited about the menu and was very full of life. She brought out the best bread with olive oil and I ended up choosing the truffle gnocchi and she was right, it was FANTASTIC! The setting was romantic and I felt somewhat like a writer or poet sipping wine and waxing poetic on a Hell's Kitchen side street with fabulous food and a fun person to chat with. Thanks Catarina!

My favorite wine

my favorite place !!! It's really great service ! I'm pretty sure come back next week ;)

Came here with a party of 3 for a pre-theater dinner. We had a reservation that we had to change the time twice for since we were running late, and they were very accommodating. Service was very fast; I had a feeling they're used to recognizing those in a rush to catch their show! Our waitress was very charming and thoughtful. Highly recommend the penne pesto. Everything else was just ok: lasagna bolognese special, lobster ravioli, creme brûlée, and tiramisu. I'll be dreaming of that pesto; perfect al dente and the sauce captured the fragrance of the pesto perfectly. Seating was at a communal table and the restaurant was quite cramped.

Lobster ravioli

Charming service, authentic Italian atmosphere and cuisine. Meatballs to start was a great decision. Lobster ravioli was delicious I only wish there was more! We were convinced to try a special with sliced beats and shrimp, which I was skeptical at first but was totally blown away. A special place.

Mango salad, grilled octopus and flank steak
Pat E.

We had about 1 hour to eat before broadway show. Service was exceptionally fast and efficient. We ordered several entrees and shared them. Some were better than others. Enjoyed the flank steak and grilled octopus more than the pasta dishes. We regretted not trying the special lamb lasagna dish. Grilled bread and Cocktails were very good. Very intimate. Communal seating doesn't allow for much elbow/dish room, but a part of the total experience.

Linguine with shrimp scampi

Food was fine. Service was fine. Nothing special - very small inside. They were out of the special at like 6 pm on a Friday which was strange.

Small place. Great food. Great wine.

My go to restaurant in Hells Kitchen. I hate to even post a review because I (selfishly) don't want it to get over crowded. This is a hidden gem tucked away on an unassuming block in Manhattan. I eat here every time I'm in the city.

Skirt Steak
Esther R.

We ordered the mango salad, burrata with tomato, and skirt steak. The mango salad was so good, with thinly sliced mango paired with kale and a balsamic dressing. I usually don't enjoy mango in salads, but this one was an exception--it tasted incredibly well with the steak--speaking of the steak, it was delicious & cooked well. I highly recommend ordering it medium rare ( it also paired wonderfully with the kale). The burrata was also a great choice for those seeking creamy balance with kale!! The only con to this restaurant is that it does feel quite cramped, and there are only high top seatings.

Caesar salad

A very attractive claustrophobic eatery just down the street from the Neil Simon Theatre, important for our evening needs. Wait staff were very helpful and friendly. We shared a long table with a dozen some other people: the bar seats 7-8, and then they have a few tables outside. The tuna tartare (with guacamole) was yummy, and Caesar salad was good, and my nieces liked the Fettucine Ai Funghi and Gnocchi Sorrentina.

A shared communal table with a view to the kitchen. Their music was random but fun.

Just walking through Hell's Kitchen and thought this place looked nice. Glad we decided to try it. James Beard winning chef made sure the menu looked delicious, and the specials impossible to turn down. Seating is either outside, at the bar, or at a long communal table. You probably should be open to being among people if eating here. The prices were very reasonable. The service was jovial, and knowledgeable making the whole experience just perfect.

Grilled octopus salad
John L.

We were warmly greeted when we first got in and seated immediately. Loved the community table setting and all the wines on display. The grilled octopus salad is especially great with a nice stomach, soft tender octopus, and soft yet just a bit crunch to the veggies. A lovely lunch experience.

Briciola is one of our go to spots in Hells Kitchen for late dinner, usually after a show. Always consistent, good service, charming place.

As I walked in and saw just how swanky this place is I panicked - there was no way we could just walk in here without a reservation, right? But the hostess was, thankfully, so down to earth. I was straight up like hey I totally messed up and thought we could just walk in here, she was like you know what, let me see what we have. Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. They gave out a complimentary nut mix that was also delicious. Service was swift and gracious. If you're looking for a spot to impress a date, this is it.

There's also seating on the second floor, perfect for couples or small groups. I tried two of their cocktails when I went. The first was the Eastern Julep, a delicious twist on a classic. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. A bar seat eventually opened up but I was already on my second drink by then. Definitely make reservations if you're planning a visit!

The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. I'll definitely be back for happy hour or dinner with friends!

It's been a minute since we'd dined out (life on the other side of having a kid has been DIFFERENT…read morey'all) so we decided to go check Barlume out. Did you know this is where the Beecher's used to be?! RIP, I miss their Mac n cheese.... the vibe is completely different now (think extravagant Mediterranean vibes, it's very instagram-mable with the beautiful bar area). I had made a reservation for 5:30 (again, life with a baby is very different)- we arrived early but the staff were very gracious and were able to get us seated. They seated us in a side alcove area where they had cushioned seating, which was very helpful. What we Ordered: Drinks: Barlume Spritz and Hibiscus Mule (N/A cocktail)- drinks were good, nothing too special but we appreciated the cute stirrers Appetizer: Halloumi- grilled halloumi with roasted eggplant puree. The saltiness of the halloumi went so well with the creaminess of the eggplant. (Baby liked the eggplant puree too hah) Entrees: Lobster Arrabiatta and Duck Ragu and Truffle Pizza. My husband got the lobster arrabiatta and was raving about how delicious it was. He said it was the perfect level of spice. My duck ragu was served with busiate (a corkscrew shaped pasta) which I thought 'trapped' the sauce perfectly so you get a nice saucy bite each time. Pasta was perfectly al dente- my one gripe is that I felt the duck ragu was a bit too salty, which even managed to overpower the tomato flavor. We shared the truffle pizza, which came topped off with stracciatella, porcini mushrooms and shaved truffles. I liked the porcini mushrooms on the pizza, this was a first for me. For dessert (which we had to gobble down quickly because baby was starting to get fussy) we got the pistachio cake. SAVE SPACE IN YOUR STOMACH FOR THIS ONE!!! This was my favorite in the whole meal, the kataifi gives it that wonderful crumbliness and it went soooo well with the mango sorbet that's served with it. Recommend for a nice dinner with friends or a cool place to grab drinks! 4.5 stars

It's a small area with the tables pretty close together. We were given a table in the far corner, which was perfect for comfort and looking out at the restaurant. Two of us each ordered a glass of house wine, which were "ok." We opted for the Boqueria Experience, which is $65 per person and includes a variety of chef-selected tapas, a paella and an order of the restaurant's special JAMÓN IBÉRICO DE BELLOTA, which is described on the charcuterie menu as aged 48 months, with deep marbling, rich and nutty flavor. We enjoyed most of the tapas, including the potatoes, the beef/lamb balls, the salad and bruschetta. The croquettes were "ok" with the heavy aeoli masking some of the flavor. The seafood paella was good and was different from ones I've had in the past, with the caramelized layer on the bottom. Yum. Honestly, none of us was a big fan of the Jamon Iberico de Bellota. I'm sure it's special and luxurious, but we found it not to have much flavor. Frankly, it was a big disappointment for us. The service was beyond excellent. We were very pleased with the timing of the presentation of the meal, the superb water service and the general enthusiasm and pleasantness of the Staff. We will come back and try different items on the ala carte menu. I thought there would be more seafood and meat tapas offerings in the "Experience". Instead, it was a lot of cheese, vegetables, dates and bread. Although $65 per person likely was a good value for what we got, I think the tapas items were heavy on the lower cost tapas and that it wasn't a true top-of-the-line "Experience". A seafood dish or even a chicken dish (chicken wings) instead of one of the two croquette offerings would have helped.
