This might have been the best restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Every server paid a ton of attention to you. Your glass never emptied, table never stayed dirty. The food was out of this world. Complimentary bread, amazing butter and the best olive oil I've had. Appetizer was the charcuterie board. Assortment of cheeses (goat cheese was divine), salami, prosciutto, and another meat, a few fruits and nuts. I forgot the exact name, but I got the ricotta ravioli with black truffle oil. Oh my god. I have no words to describe it. I also tried a few other bites of pastas my family ordered, also amazing. Desserts???? I got the custard with strawberries (once again I don't remember the exact name), and it's gotta be my new favorite dessert. They gave us a complimentary tiramisu! Amazing. The price was less than $100 per person, and each of us got 2+ drinks and dessert. I couldn't recommend it enough. Worth every penny. When I visit NYC again, I will be coming back. read more

Our party of five was in the mood for Italian, and Ramerino was nearby and had an excellent Yelp rating. We made a reservation and were promptly seated upon arrival. The restaurant is very attractive, with tasteful décor, subdued lighting, and classic white-tablecloth service. Ice water was quickly brought to the table. It was cold, but had an odd taste. I'm always surprised when upscale restaurants don't offer filtered water if their tap water has an off flavor. Several restaurants I've visited offer filtered water service for around $5, which seems reasonable. It solves the taste issue and reduces bottled water waste. One of the highlights of the evening was the Caesar salad, prepared tableside. Our waiter turned it into a fun presentation that reminded us of a similar experience we enjoyed years ago in Florence. More importantly, the salad was excellent. Our table also ordered: * Pollo Parmigiano * Ravioli Della Casa * Rigatoni Vodka * Pollo Ramerino * Pappardelle Overall, the food was very good. The Brussels sprouts, however, were significantly undercooked, and the chicken in the Parmigiano was pounded quite thin and a bit dry. Service was excellent throughout the meal, with attentive but unobtrusive staff. With four cocktails, three glasses of wine, and gratuity, dinner for five came to about $480. Metered parking right outside! The front of this location is very floral and I like it. The host was sweet we didn't have a reservation but we were led to a table right away and it was busy. The staff especially our waiter they were phenomenal and funny. Kept coming back to make sure we were satisfied with our meal and not in an annoying way. My experience was ok at best. Located in Hyatt's lobby floor, it's a cozy sized restaurant. A little dark, but very lively for a Friday night. I sat at the bar. Service was good up til it took my pasta and sides about 35 min to come out after my appetizer. So the sides were lukewarm. Piece of bread: a singular piece of sourdough bread was brought over, untoasted, cold, with only olive oil. I left it alone lol Polpo alla Griglia: the octopus was cooked well, not too spongy, and seasoned. Looking back, it was missing the arugula listed in the menu. The chickpeas were basically a chunky hummus underneath and the flavors did not make sense to me. Cacio e Pepe: this was ok while it was still warm. The noodle felt a bit thinner than what I'm use to for this dish. Asparagus: they were the big ones and a lot of them! Better to share this as a side. Tiramisu: very good, has the ladyfingers but it's a small portion The bartender was great, though! But the overall experience was just ok for it to be on the expensive side. Nice spot for good Italian food right by Bryant Park. We had a weekday dinner after work here cause I was desperately craving pasta and had a good time. Service was friendly and they made sure my glass wasn't empty which was nice. We ordered the caesar salad, bolognese, and cacio e pepe. All three were quite good and I personally really liked the bolognese. We each got glasses of wine with our meal and those were enjoyed as well. Nice spot for solid Italian food in Midtown. Service was very scattered, hurried but then we waited forever- had to ask for bread 3 times, appetizer came out cold, some Pastas lukewarm while others perfect. What a great find! Concierge at Courtyard was going to send us to Little Italy for Italian dinner... yet we took a chance on "Romano's" just one block away! The service was unbelievable! We felt like royalty! Kudos to Haris who really made our night. Food was also impressive... Lobster Ravioli was delicious... but the Rib-eye steak was even better! I had two odd experiences at Ramerino. My friend and I stopped in for lunch in March. Anselmo was our server, and everything was great. The bread basket, the Caesar salad, the elegant service, all had us exclaiming in pleasure. That is, until my entree. My Cacio e Pepe was overdone, the sauce looking like it was microwaved. This pasta was far from Al dente. I mentioned something to our server Anselmo who told me the pasta is all made in house and must get to the table instantly. Anselmo said I should return the next evening with my wife, and he would make sure we were taken care of. The pasta was taken off the check, but I made it up with the tip. I returned the next night with my wife and to my surprise, Anselmo wasn't working. Our servers were professional, but we didn't get personal service. There was no bread basket, and the dinner was good, not great. However, the bill, with two appetizers, two entrees, two desserts with two cocktails and two glasses of wine was $224.00. This was a great find!!! Totally 5 stars and one of the best dining experiences I have had overall in some time. This was a family dinner with my brother who was visiting from Arizona and cousins from Long Island and New Jersey. There were 8 of us and we were looking for a central spot that would be convenient to both Grand Central Station and Penn Station. This was the perfect location as it is located by the Hyatt Centric Midtown on East 39st. Everything was PERFECT!!! We were warmly greeted by the staff who I would have thought new us for a long time. Besides the great food the one thing that stood out was the service. Lead by Anselmo the wait staff was on top of keeping the water glasses full, clearing and cleaning the table, providing fresh silverware for each course, and did it with genuine enthusiasm. I have to say the restaurant "just gets it"!!! They understand what the definition of "customer service" and the "customer experience should be". There owner Sammy V and Executive Chef Vilfredo Hodai bring there experience and expertise to create a winning experience for their guests. The restaurant is modern, has an eclectic, look, and is super clean including the private bathrooms downstairs. We were not rushed and spent about 3 hours there. They have a great selection of wines and liquor, beautiful wall displays of wine, and a beautiful outdoor space for warmer weather. Prices were very fair and the portions were a good size and well presented. They also have a private room which they offered us and we politely declined wanting to enjoy the vibe and decor of the restaurant. We had several appetizers including the grilled Calamari, Vellutata Di Pomodoro which is a creamy tomato and veggies soup with Burrata cheese. the Ramerino salad which was mixed greens, walnuts, pear, goat cheese and a lemon dressing. There pasta and steak dishes look AWESOME and for a main one of us had the Raviioli Della Casa which is a spinach and ricotta ravioli, butter and sage sauce with Parmigiano-Reggiano. Several of us had the Dover Sole which I found to be one of the best ones I have tasted anywhere around the globe including France. The Dover Sole is presented to you first whole and then filleted and warmed right in front of your eyes. We also had the Branzino, the Salmon, and they were even graciously accommodating to prepare a special shrimp dish that was not on the menu. For desert we had the home made Il Nostro Tiramisu which is one of the best I have ever had. I could have definitely ordered a second one and finished it with no problem. We also had the ice cream and the Tartufo. Anselmo topped off the end of our meal with a complimentary round of Limoncello for all. White table cloth with proper plate and utensil settings, it makes you feel comfortable and relaxed as you sit the comfy chairs. 4.75 Stars - Service - our server and the other staff members were helpful and knowledgeable with the menu. Depending on what you were eating, the plates or utensils were replace with the proper place setting. You feel you are in a Michelin star restaurant without the price. Food: 4.5 Stars 4 Stars - Antipasti - MELANZANE. baked layers of sliced eggplant, tomato, Parmigiano- Reggiano, basil sauce. The sauce was pleasant and seasoned well with the eggplant. The cheese was nice and melty. A good "melting-pot" of the ingredients. However the portion was smaller than expected. If you have a small appetite, then it will be perfect for you. Also, the eggplant was not breaded and deep fried before the slices were layered. NOTE: There are different recipe variations of this meal, so ask your server if you are unsure. 4.5 Stars - Chef's Special - Seafood Pasta The black ink linguine was served with sautéed prawns and half a butter lobster. The sauce was a cherry tomato garlic white wine reduction sauce. The noodles were al dente and the shrimp and lobster were evenly cooked. Definitely a keeper for me. I will make it at home. 3.75 Stars - TIRAMISU The dessert was okay, had better at other places. Presentation was unusual, (being in bowl). It was much lighter than other tiramisu we had. The dessert had a very light and almost fluffy whipped cream, a single layer of the espresso pound cake. The whipped cream cheese and egg whites were evident but not as much as you expect. All the servers are dressed to the 9s and all are working. Like no one's business! Teamwork definitely made the dream work with this experience! The burrata just melted in your mouth like butter! The prosciutto and melon was a perfect sweet and salty balance! We made a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday night. We arrived a little earlier but were promptly lead to our table by a very friendly hostess.
