We had a lovely evening - my first time at this restaurant but it's a fave of my friend. We had a reservation which was totally needed because of theater crowds. We were seated right away towards the back of the restaurant which was great because it was quieter. Overall vibe and ambiance of this place is very comfortable and warm. Service was pretty good given the crowds. We had several different servers throughout the evening. Once we placed our orders things moved quite well. The food was the highlight. Calamari was tender and delicious. For entrees both the salmon and the stuffed chicken were amazing (I substituted Broccoli rabe for the roasted potatoes and it was perfect). For dessert, both the gelato and sorbet did not disappoint. We were not rushed at all which was perfect.

I went for a lovely restaurant week lunch. $30 for all the food plus $10 for the cocktail is a steal. Plus they had the windows open and I sat next to the open window with a lovely breeze Calamari tasted like most other I've had. Good but not exceptional. Pasta was fine. Tiramisu was great. the vibes were good and staff was friendly

My friend and I made a last minute decision to dine here by looking at the menu outside. It looked nice from the outside looking in as well. Once you go inside they ask if you have reservations, but seems like you don't need one for a Monday night. We had the option of picking where we would like to sit. I must say the service was great! They kept refilling the water glass and came by often to check up on us. Although, they recommended a few dishes, we chose the special meat dish. It's called the Grigliata Mistadi Carne - a selection of grilled meats such as the veal loin, lamb chops, and chicken breast along with mashed potatoes and baby brocolini. All were great and it had a mix of protein, fiber, and vegetables. What more can you ask for? For appetizer, we got the pear salad and Panna cotta for dessert. Can't go wrong with those two dishes.

We were recently in NYC and we had dinner at Bocca di Bacco in Manhattan. This is a wonderful eatery that serves fantastic food. My Wife ordered the Rigatoni and she enjoyed it so much I only got a small taste. I have been craving carbonara for quite some time and when I saw it on the menu my decision was easy. I make it at home and I'm very particular about how I like it. This was an incredible rendition of the classic dish. I almost licked the plate because I enjoyed it so much. I asked to speak with the manager to let them know what a great experience we had and they were delighted to hear it. I will definitely be back here on my next visit to the big scary city... Thanks again for making our night special!

So with 100's of places to find Italian food in NYC, this small chain really delivers. The service is prompt, friendly and the ambiance transports me to the Amalfi coast. G is waiting to make your meal special, whether you live on the West Side or flew in from CA. Molto Bene in the Theatre District!

We were greeted by Marco and he accommodated us very quickly without a reservation. He and the service team went above and beyond to provide excellent service. So excellent we came back on the same night to continue enjoying the happy hour which runs 4pm to close. Heavy pours, delicious food, great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Long-time Bocca regulars at this location. One of our tried-and-true spots in the 'hood. BDB is still the best lunch in town; not only because it's an amazing pre-fixe lunch (both in substance and price), but it's a great ambiance and setting whether you're having a romantic date lunch, dining with friends or holding a business lunch. But, it's also among our favorite local spots for dinner too. Food is great. Beautiful spacious dining room. Service is mostly good. Sometimes it lacks, but usually it's good. I was a little irked the other day when I chose not to have a bottle of sparking water (which is included as part of the pre-fixe) but was charged $4.50 for a small glass of club soda. That literally made no sense and lacked any rational logic. However I didn't make an issue as I was treating a friend to lunch and didn't want to impact his enjoyment. But seriously, it was kind of tacky of the waiter since it was less than what I would have gotten as part of the pre-fixe. Highly recommend.

Make a point of coming to this restaurant on your trip ! We were lucky enough to get seated as a walk in. The food was incredible and the service was above and beyond. Very friendly staff making sure we enjoyed our experience. My wife never liked Tiramisu before, she hesitantly tried it and loved theirs. Incredible.

My mom and I had a great pre-theater dining experience here! We got there at 5:30. It was pretty empty but quickly filled up as the night went on! I had the limoncello spritz to drink. It was a great spring cocktail with lots of lemon flavor! To start, we shared the meat and cheese board. It was fabulous! The presentation was beautiful and the three cheeses paired great with the salami and prosciutto. The cheese also goes great with their complimentary bread and I love that the board comes with honey. Salty/sweet is the way to my heart! Only negative was that our appetizer took a while to come out and then our entrees came out not long after. The pacing could have been better. For my entree I had the cacio e Pepe. It was very good, but I've definitely had better in New York. It was a very large portion for the price, which was a plus! Overall, I loved the rustic, yet elevated vibe in here and would definitely come back. If you are seeing a show at Studio 54, this is only an avenue away, so it's a great choice for pre-theater dining!

We went on Valentines Day and did the prefixed menu. I really enjoyed the 1st & second course. I got the Insalata Di Granchio (1) and Pollo Alla Valdostana (2). There was only one dessert, Rosa Di Bocca. Unfortunately I did not really like the dessert. The servers were so great! Definitely would go back.

What a fabulous place to enjoy a special evening. The venue is immaculate. The staff ( ALL of them) were fantastic and kept it up throughout even after we stayed past closing. The meals were succulent (salmon & pasta). The tables in the front near the bar are great spot to be romantic. I'm going to visit this place again when visiting Hells Kitchen / NYC. It's a stones throw from Times Square but easily accessed via the metro.

Five star for reuniting with my friends. Food was decent, but this little sneaky charging us the six people gratuity when it was just five people. Expecting this to be corrected. See pic below

First time eating bolognese & I loved this!!! Wow! The server was so cute, Italian, & kind old man. We all enjoyed our food. The lasagna fyi does have ricotta cheese but hardly enough to taste, which is good for me given I don't like ricotta. Also, the bread was not good. Very authentic, nicely designed restaurant. I didn't realize there were so many bucca di bacco's here; I have to return for bolognese again! I highly recommend this location. Go, enjoy!

As I walked in and saw just how swanky this place is I panicked - there was no way we could just walk in here without a reservation, right? But the hostess was, thankfully, so down to earth. Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. They gave out a complimentary nut mix that was also delicious. Service was swift and gracious. If you're looking for a spot to impress a date, this is it.

The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. I'll definitely be back for happy hour or dinner with friends!

Did you know this is where the Beecher's used to be?! RIP, I miss their Mac n cheese.... the vibe is completely different now (think extravagant Mediterranean vibes, it's very instagram-mable with the beautiful bar area). I had made a reservation for 5:30 (again, life with a baby is very different)- we arrived early but the staff were very gracious and were able to get us seated. They seated us in a side alcove area where they had cushioned seating, which was very helpful. What we Ordered: Drinks: Barlume Spritz and Hibiscus Mule (N/A cocktail)- drinks were good, nothing too special but we appreciated the cute stirrers Appetizer: Halloumi- grilled halloumi with roasted eggplant puree. The saltiness of the halloumi went so well with the creaminess of the eggplant. (Baby liked the eggplant puree too hah) Entrees: Lobster Arrabiatta and Duck Ragu and Truffle Pizza. My husband got the lobster arrabiatta and was raving about how delicious it was. He said it was the perfect level of spice. My duck ragu was served with busiate (a corkscrew shaped pasta) which I thought 'trapped' the sauce perfectly so you get a nice saucy bite each time. Pasta was perfectly al dente- my one gripe is that I felt the duck ragu was a bit too salty, which even managed to overpower the tomato flavor. We shared the truffle pizza, which came topped off with stracciatella, porcini mushrooms and shaved truffles. I liked the porcini mushrooms on the pizza, this was a first for me. For dessert (which we had to gobble down quickly because baby was starting to get fussy) we got the pistachio cake. SAVE SPACE IN YOUR STOMACH FOR THIS ONE!!! This was my favorite in the whole meal, the kataifi gives it that wonderful crumbliness and it went soooo well with the mango sorbet that's served with it. Recommend for a nice dinner with friends or a cool place to grab drinks! 4.5 stars
