It was a fun night and we had our kids with us. Our kids are respectful and say please and thank you. This place seems like a place where locals come to hang out which was great. For us, it was a midway point for everyone. The lady at the front was very nice and helped get us seated right away. Our waitress seemed slightly irritated anytime the kids asked for something and didn't answer them but would hand them what they asked for. We let it go... the food was delicious and we had a nice time overall. At the end of the meal we divided what we owed and the waitress kept saying that we "owed money." And eventually she told us that she would "eat the 30.00." Even though we showed her on a calculator AND the bill that she printed that we were adding correctly. She seemed adamant that we were somehow ripping her off, which put a bad taste in our mouth since we spent almost $300.00. Eventually, we saw that we were given one receipt with a certain amount and then a second one with a higher amount. When we explained to her that it seems like someone's drinks were added to our bill. I explained how I didn't like how she basically made us feel like we were purposefully leaving her $30.00 short. At that point is when she started backtracking. She said that the bartender added the drinks and that was the mistake. I have no problem with mistakes- what I do have a problem with is the thought that we would be shorting her as we physically showed her. As I was walking out I asked to speak to a manager. I was speaking to the lady at the front desk and then all of a sudden our server (I believed) appeared. I kept explaining the situation and another woman showed up but the server kept speaking over me so I decided to leave. It's sad because the food was delicious and we had a great time but we will not be returning due to our experience. She tried to say that she gave us great service... however, I had to disagree. If it was just the adults it would have been fine but our children were treated as less than and as an inconvenience. They even noticed it at dinner and we told them to let it go. I am sure this is a great place but our experience didn't reflect that and I am disheartened that I couldn't continue my conversation since she just kept talking over me. read more

I see Brick 46 gets mixed reviews, but my pizza tasted pretty fab. The medium-thick crust offered a nice bite, the cheese was excellent, with a long pull, and my usual combo trio of pepperoni, green peppers, and olives delivered umami, saltiness, and texture. My 12" pie was just $13 before delivery fees and taxes. I can't speak to the in-store dining, but for delivery, I'm not mad at all. Would've liked more even topping distribution, if I'm being picky. I've passed Brick 46 for quite a few years now. It's right on Rt 46 in Rockaway. This afternoon, I had a chance to stop in for a late lunch with my wife and stepson. It looks like the restaurant has a main dining room and a bar area. On this Saturday afternoon, only the bar was open, which was fine. There's plenty of TV's and a comfy feel. We shared mozzarella sticks and had entrees of cheesesteaks and a salad. Everything was fine and the drinks were good. This was a fun stop for drinks and lunch! read more

I think their pizza is their strongest item and they should stick with that! It's a decent bar pie with a decent price. Their staff is also friendly and super accommodating. Our appetizers typical chicken fingers were fine, the special crab stuffed tots were bland as were the cheesesteak egg rolls. The chicken Marsala had no flavor but the vegetables and potatoes served with it were excellent and well seasoned. My father in laws sandwich came with literally Utz potato chips that looked like it came from the bottom of the bag. I'll skip the entrees and apps and strictly stick with the pizza here. read more

Huge send off party for a friend and this place was perfect. Food was so good and owner literally made everything so easy. Room was so nice and Michelle, our server, worked tirelessly. Went here for lunch and had a good experience. They have a good variety on their menu which made it hard to pick so we got a few different things! Their pizzas come in 12in or 16in; we got the 12'. The Sampler had onion rings, wings, mozzarella sticks, and meatballs. The honey mustard sauce with horseradish was amazing! My husband orders from here often. Not a huge fan of their pizza but I'm not easy to please in the pizza department at all. They have great wings with a lot of flavors and fresh calamari that they will toss in this asian sesame sauce that is absolutely friggin' delicious. They also have a great salad, sandwich selection. Sports-bar atmosphere with half a dozen large screen TVs around the room. Food is better than most with great menu selections: pizzas, burgers, seafood, salads, etc. I had a very large serving of mussels for the appetizer. My wife really enjoyed the Salmon Piccatta. We ordered delivery from here via UberEats and were pleasantly surprised by the flavor and quality of the food. We ordered the sesame ginger fried calamari, a burger, Jersey cheese steak sandwich, and the pork chop Milano. The fried calamari didn't travel well but the flavor was excellent. Both the burger and the steak sandwich were delicious, but the real highlight was the pork chop Milano. It was so tasty and gourmet, we couldn't stop raving about it. We came here for a family dinner on a Sunday night after a day of hiking... Surprised it was so empty as all of the pizzas we ordered were excellent. The stand out was the Buffalo Chicken Pizza - spicyness was perfect, crust was sublime. We also tried the BBQ shrimp pizza ... Also tasty but a little too much BBQ sauce which made the crust too soggy. Plain / Pepperoni was solid; excellent crust. Decent beer selection (draft and bottles) with the option to try beer flights (which we did). Service was fine, decor was OK. 4 stars for the pizza ... Not sure why it was so empty. Lou has been a father, boss & friend over the last 12 years a& shown me the true image of an amazing role model. He is caring, compassionate and forgiving. Everyone - customers & staff included- is as important as the last. Kristen, the manager, has been one of the most influential people in my life thus far & I couldn't be more thankful to have her as a friend. Cuchillo, the head chef, may be one of the best chefs on the east coast with no recognition expected. He has cooked for me on shift & off for 12 years & expected nothing but the occasional coffee in return. He puts everything he's got into Brick (after years at his prior endeavor) & then some. He'll never admit it but every compliment warms his soul -more than I think I can even understand. My future bridesmaids have worked here & become unexpected family. I met my future husband because of this bar. Some of my best friends have worked here & become friends for life. Others, customers, have been a driving influence in my life. My friend from childhood is the one who got me the job & I thank her for everything I have today. Now, my family uses Brick for every holiday. My in-laws use Brick for every party. My 9 month old daughter looks forward to their infamous vodka pasta. My brother,who is about to be of working age, is looking forward to a job where he grew up attending because they're his family too. I said it was fine depending on kid policy in that area. he said it would be ok but was going to call me back. But so far its on. I have to say I've been here a few times, and never had a complaint. Tonight, was a different story. It started from the moment we placed our drinks. I ordered a sauvignon blanc and was brought back a red wine. Then, my friend ordered a cosmo. She's very specific on how she likes it. When she asked for the specifics, her drink came back with vodka and lime juice - no where close to a cosmo. Without cranberry. The waitress proceeded by saying 'you didn't say you wanted that' -- it's a cosmo, how cold you not include cranberry? She became very short with us and was rude acting like it was our fault. Then, when our bill came it was extremely overpriced, and the service was awful. When asked about the 'Saturday specials' being $4 and charging us full price, thinking we would not notice this, she acted surprised when we called her out on it. The 2 hours we were here, she came to our table 3 times. I attached a picture. Obviously it was not busy for a Saturday night. We were the only table in here. The only reason for giving them 2 stars is because of the quality of food, otherwise it would be 1 star. The following is my second experience with this restaurant. My girlfriend ordered a Cobb salad to go for me. She is not familiar with the Cobb salad...I am...but for $11.99, she thought it felt a bit light...as did I. When I opened the styrofoam container, I was appalled. A Cobb salad should contain lettuce, bacon, avocado, onion, hard boiled egg, blue cheese, and tomato. I also expected chicken, but neglecting to check a menu, lacking the chicken , was not their fault. What was in my bland Cobb? Lettuce, bell pepper, hard boiled egg and bacon bits....all for $11.99. Although it said 'gorgonzola' on the menu, mine lacked it. $11.99 ! Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. If you do go, check the menu and expect to pay more and eat little. read more

I've had this place in my queue for a long time and don't know why I haven't done the review. Last time we were here, a few months back, we really enjoyed our dinners, enjoyed the service, and enjoyed the whole ambiance. We came in late after a long drive from somewhere and we were "starving" and needed some nourishment (and a couple beers). We were seated right away. And luckily the place wasn't packed so it wasnt too noisy. We ordered some stuffed mushrooms and mozzarella sticks for an appetizer and I was really surprised at how good the shrooms were. For dinner I ordered the chicken portabello and my wife had a burger (the kids had a personal pizza and chicken fingers). The chicken portabello was fabulous...the mushrooms were cooked just right and the seasoning made the meal. My wife's burger was done perfectly (barely medium) and was just what she wanted at that time. What I was really shocked at was how good the pizza was (being a pizza snob and all...). The crust was just a touch well done and it tasted great...it was also way bigger than we expected. Our waitress was great and not only kept our drinks filled (and got me the second beer I needed QUICKLY), but she also recommended my chicken meal so she gets a big plus there. Came here with a group of 4 for lunch. It's a sports bar and there's a ton of people on football Sunday. But the waitress is super nice and attentive. The wings we ordered were mild but were a bit spicier, actually perfect. I ordered the Rockaway sandwich in a wrap and a salad instead of fries. My niece ordered a chicken Caesar salad. My brother ordered a chicken parm sandwich and my bf got the jersey steak sandwich. The flavor in each plate was just phenomenal. I took some of my bf fries and they are so crispy and there wasn't any grease coming out of them. The wrap was delicious. I ate half and took the other half to go. My nieces salad was gone so fast I'm lucky I got a picture. I would definitely recommend and come back when I'm in the area.
