And they let the edges of the chips get slightly charred which I love. The pies were on a delicious dough and the crust had a slight chew to it. Not sure what happened. This place used to be great. We even had our daughters 1st birthday here as the food was always phenomenal and in plenty. Today I ordered for the superbowl. Everything was overcooked and tasted bad. I had to add my own cheese to the natchos they were so blah, the Asian calamari looked as bad as it tasted and all of my wings were over cooked and had a strange smell to them. My wife's chicken sandwich was also just blah. Used to love it but today is a sad day. Won't be ordering anymore. 70$ for bad food. read more

Had the sweetest waitress who was so friendly. The food was decently priced for the amount and quality you received. The atmosphere was nice to be in as well. All of the workers were friendly and prompt with anything you needed so it made the experience even better. All of the food was flavorful and the menu had many items to choose from. During Trivia Night you'd be lucky to get a drink in the first half hour, let alone food within an hour and a half. Awful service. You can almost heard the crickets since the wait staff disappears during trivia for 3/4 of it. read more

Out and about late Saturday afternoon (wife and I), running errands in and around Rockaway Mall. When we were done we decided to stop for some food & drink. Checked out yelp app and selected Brick 46. After driving over we came in through back entrance...seated promptly. Our server (sorry I forgot name) came right over to take a drink order. She was very attentive and nice (wish I could remember her name). They have a pretty good beer selection FYI. After taking a look at menus we decided on some steamers and mozzarella stocks for an appetizer, and split a Chicken Pesto pizza and meatball sub for dinner . Steamers were fresh and great value...good sized order. My wife is the expert here. The chicken pesto pizza was really good. Liked the chat on the crust, the pesto was fresh and the chicken plentiful. The meatball sub was really good as well. Meatballs were well prepared and sub was lightly toasted. Fries came with sub and they were really great as well. Good choice, there's a lot of great pizza places in North J. The service set this place apart. Solid A grade! read more

We came to Brick 46 for a bar event, although I had already been there on numerous occasions for their awesome buffalo chicken pizza. It was packed, and I mean packed. The entire staff was not only polite, but cheerful and helpful despite the sheer volume of young (drinking age) guests bombarding the bar. I could not have been more impressed and happy with my service from all the staff and the bartenders Kristen and Brendan. Must visit. These guys are seasoned pros. I just got home from our club event at Brick 46 and was discussing our experience at the restaurant. As President and First Lady if the club we received a great deal of immediate feedback from the members. The consensus is that the service and attentiveness by the staff was exceptional. Lou, who is the person who booked us the room and set up the room was beyond accommodating our needs. Even down to some last minute changes. He was so low key and helpful. Did I mention that the variety and quality of the food was fantastic, really, really delicious. Part of my responsibility as president is CV to be a good steward of club funds and Brick 46 provided a great value. Great people, great food, great venue, great price! Based on my experience. On a whim, my husband and I decided to go to Brick 46 after seeing a movie at the Rockaway AMC theatre. We'd only been once before, back in 2006 - right after they'd first opened, and had a so-so experience. This time was far better. We ordered 2 "pizettes" - 12" pizzas - a large salad to share, and I had a glass of pinot noir. Halfway through the salad, our waitress informed us that the chefs had burnt our pizzas, and the manager wanted to offer us free appetizers to make up for it. We asked if we could get free drinks instead, and they obliged. When the pizzas finally came, they were fantastic. We had a margarita and a white, and both were thin, crisp, and seasoned to perfection. A little ways into the pizzas, our waitress came by and told us that dessert was also on the house! They brought out a huge tray of selections, and the husband enjoyed the chocolate mousse cake, while I stuck with a simple dish of vanilla ice cream. When all was said and done, we were left with a bill of just $35 for 3 drinks, a soda, a large salad, 2 pizzas and 2 desserts! Food was great, service was fantastic. We'll DEFINITELY be back! Great home stay of a restaurant. You have the option of sitting in the back dining area, which is more family oriented, or in the bar seating area in the front with the TV's and taps. We go here regularly, Sundays after hockey or during the week for their pizza specials. Great pies, classic Italian dishes, and a slamming steak and eggs on the weekends for under $10. Always welcomed by friendly and hospitable bartenders. Tap selection is up to par and puts Thatcher's (another local gastro pub) to shame. Prices are very reasonable. Their catering is also great. One suggestion - Get the larger chicken wings back and do a wing special. read more

My husband and I like to go here and sit near the bar. There is a full dining room too, but there are often large groups there, so it can get noisy. (Unless you're one of those groups, I guess!) Great pizza and standard Italian food. I can't say I've had a fantastic, blow your mind meal here, but I've never had a bad one either. Definitely a good standard. There is parking in the back, and a back entrance, so don't let the full lot up front fool you into thinking it's packed. We go alone and with my 13 year old step daughter...she's a picky eater, but she likes this place. (And doesn't just order chicken fingers and french fries, so that says something too!) We've never gone specifically to watch sports, but imagine this to be a great place to do so, at least at the bar. read more

I was greeted when I first walked in, that was the only nice experience I had while dining there. We waited about 7-10 minutes before we were even offered drinks. Brooke was our server, only know her name because of my receipt. She seemed as if she didn't even want to come over to my table, couldn't be bothered with two people with a small order. The bartender ignored us for 10 mins because she was talking to the regulars and then proceeded to greet another guest who had just walked in. If you're not a townie you apparently don't get served. Usually this place is good, but last Thursday I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and got violently ill that night which lasted into Friday night and had to cancel my vacation so Im out $100.... We checked this place out because it was close to the hotel we stayed at off route 46. We ate at the bar. Typical Dive bar motif, great happy hour special, 50% off appetizers during football. Went there straight from work for a few beers with the boys...checked in with Yelp and got $5 instant discount with $30 or more. We had the older waitress, as all she did was complain about how she's too old for this anymore and cannot imagine working there another two years...so I showed here my coupon and she said "well Ive never seem a coupon like that before, usually people print it out!" She was going to send her manager over to accept it, but he never came.
