We went there for Easter brunch and it was average. I did like that you could order custom egg dishes like omelettes and Benedict's. The dessert station keep on running out of items which was a bummer.

I visited Duke's on 7th for a friend's birthday and reserved a spot on the patio. The ambiance was fantastic. The patio was spacious, dog friendly, and made for a great place to celebrate. The food was delicious but the only drawback was the service, which was really slow and not very attentive. Despite that, I'd happily return for their nice patio.

Great little place on hwy 7. Easy parking and great space and vibes inside. Service was great and friendly. Order: Bleu fig burger with fries. This could be one of the best finds for a burger in the west metro. Double patties were perfectly cooked and juicy. Crispy onions provided the great textures while the fig jam added the needed sweetness. The Bleu cheese spread had the perfect creaminess and tang. The star was the thick crispy bacon that had was perfectly tender inside. Altogether a delicious bite. Protip: upgrade to the fries for $1 Overall: Great burger and fries. The only thing I did not like was the 3% service charge for credit card. I will be back but I'll bring cash next time.

An after-work bite at dukes A favorite for us and the pups -- especially with their famous mutt loaf on the patio menu! The vibe is always laid back and inviting, which is why we keep coming back. That said, they were severely understaffed during this visit, so our quick bite turned into a longer dinner. We'd be more forgiving if the food hit the mark, but a couple dishes missed -- the ribs were a bit.... drenched... and the fish & chips were a bit too crisp for our liking. That said, Duke's still nails it with ambiance and their bowls always deliver. Hoping it was just an off night because we love this spot for its pup-friendly charm and casual neighborhood feel

Me again, just spreading the love for my favorite Reuben. This is hands down the best meat/kraut/cheese ratio I've had. It's a grilled, messy, delightful, comforting sandwich. Oh, and this time I got the tater tots! I don't know what they do to them, like a special coating of magical crispiness and seasoning but these were the best tots I've ever had. Yum.

Dana was our very smiley server with good guidance in a very nice bar and restaurant with comfortable booths and tables. We were seated by the nice, warm fireplace! Great food options and we all left happy. You can get some handhelds in half size and they have mini- doughnuts!! The meat eater had a Burger Royale, the vegetarian had a black bean burger and I ate a healthy Chicken and Curry bowl! Will be back.

The menu has some surprisingly great options; I especially love the selection of appetizers! To make things better, they have an all day happy hour on Sunday, which includes lots of great drinks! I also love the casual atmosphere on the patio; great for kids!

Highly recommend the igloos at Duke's on 7 for a special occasion dinner! Our group had so much fun celebrating a birthday here in a private igloo. The space is well decorated in a fun ski-chalet theme, there is a Bluetooth radio on the table so you can play your own music, and the heaters work super well so you're never cold (plus each chair has a blanket). The chicken sandwich was delicious, as were the brussel sprouts! My favorite was the fondue, it was very fitting to the theme, fun to share among our group & a large enough portion for all 6 of us easily. Service was outstanding, we were never waiting long for anything we ordered and everyone was friendly!

It has been a hot minute since I've been anywhere that has had a burger that's been great. The burgers here, are just that, great. Honestly all the food that we got was great. Maybe the best regular cheese curds we have had in Minnesota. Typically I'd say something about the price but in all honesty I felt like we got our money's worth. The food was excellent, they had a decent selection of beer and obviously a full bar, the staff were friendly, fairly quick, but not invasive. Parking was easy, it was clean, nicely lit, and overall we had a wonderful experience. I'm confident in saying that we will be back to explore more of this delicious menu.

Vibe - great! Drinks - yum! Food - eh. I've visited dukes a few times and do like their expansive patio, but to be honest I wouldn't return for a meal. Drinks are great, and they have nice specials, but I've never been impressed by their food. We came in on a Sunday so got to get in on the all day happy hour -- $6 mules and margaritas, $4 Coors and rails and some food specials. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower and the half order of wings and neither were that great. The cauliflower wasn't tossed in sauce, there was just sauce on the plate -- which was odd. Taste was ok but flavor was lacking. The wings were not appealing and didn't taste good. I've had similar feelings about the food at all of their sister restaurants as well. I wish I enjoyed the food more, but will likely come back for the patio and drinks in the future. Our bartender was attentive and friendly, and the greeter was quick. Food came out pretty fast too.

My mom, friend and I all tried Duke's for the first time. It was very good and the service was exceptional. I forget our servers name but she was very friendly and attentive. She checked in just the right amount of times. I ordered their blood orange marg and thought it was delicious. My mom tried the mango and didn't love it only because it tasted like an original marg and did not have much of a mango flavor. My friend ordered one of the seasonal specials they had and liked it. We tried the burrata dip and absolutely loved it. I prefer it with the toasted bread, but the other onion crisps fried pita they give is yummy on its own. I ordered the prime rib dip and the meat was nice and tender. It did have just a bit too much fat on there for me but it's okay. I'd definitely order it again. And I got it with the truffle fries. My mom ordered the pot pie and she liked it. I don't like pot pies but I thought it was good and had a nice fresh flavor. It's perfect for an individual. My friend got the Reuben with sweet potato fries. She also liked her food and said she would order it again. We will definitely be back!

Another really nice visit to Duke's! We came for a fun dinner date + celebrating our pup's birthday :) I made a reservation for the Pawtio to make sure we had a table and I'd recommend doing so for the summer months on weekend evenings - not every table was open so walk-ins may have a wait. I got fish and chips and I wish there was a little more fish - lots of chips/fries though. Our pup also scarfed down his Muttloaf - I think he'd give it 2 paws up! Service was a little slower than previous visits, but our waiter was really friendly.

I honestly can't think of anything about Duke's that I didn't find to be excellent or above average. All our food was good-to-excellent, the service was professional in a challenging situation, and the patio area where we sat was really nice, large, comfortable, and attractive. It's covered and there are heaters, so I think they use this area year round, which is good news. It's dog friendly! And they have a dog menu! I have family in this part of the metro that comes here quite often; this was my first visit, but we had a group of ten, two of whom were babes-in-arms. We were a handful for our server Kayla, but she was completely unfazed and on point. It was lunchtime on a Saturday and she seemed like she could have handled absolutely anything, and with speed and congeniality. Tons of good food here. I've been sampling eggs benedict a lot lately, and they have a flight of three styles that were all really good... especially the Minnesota Benedict, which was made with walleye and wild rice and had a delicious flavor to it. The others were good as well. My cousin loved his boneless wings enough to demand that we all try some, and my aunt got the Honey Pecan salad she's enjoyed many times before. Another cousin got a very good burrito bowl, and yet another cousin had an amazing Shakshuka, how often do you see that on a Minnesota suburban brunch menu? Even the fries were above average. We shared a lot of pancakes, and they all tasted normal. Pancakes struggle to distinguish themselves, in my experience. I very confidently recommend this restaurant. I am sad that I live so far away from Duke's. I want to try more of their food, and I want to experience some of this food again.

Very close to the lake(walking distance) There is a free parking ramp right behind the building. The decor of this place is cute! The details seem like they were well thought out! It feels upscale and cozy! I saw a video of this place and that was what originally drew me in! The seating here is also comfortable and not over crowded. Our server was ok. I saw so many raves about the "amazing service." She did refill our water glasses, which was good because I needed it with the salty steak! Obviously the most important piece is the food. We started with the popovers. The taste was fine but the texture was almost over done. The honey butter was lacking honey flavor. Cinnamon would have really elevated the butter! I got the steak frites and my sister got the spaghetti. My fries were average. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium all the way through! I was impressed. However, it was drowning in a VERY salty sauce! I had push a lot of it off. This should be served on the side, not covering the whole steak. My sister got the spaghetti, which our waitress explained was not a regular spaghetti. I feel she has probably had to do that multiple times and honestly, it should just be renamed. It's confusing for the customer. My sister did say she enjoyed the dish and that the shrimp was ere done well. For dessert I got "Aunties iced latte" which is their version of like an espresso martini. It was just ok. Would not get again. We got the carrot cake which was good!! But then they ruined it by putting fake whipped cream.... This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and that made the dessert feel so cheap. We also got the creme brûlée. DO NOT ORDER THAT! It is an absolute waste of money! The sugar top was so thick we couldn't eat it! The dessert had the consistency of scrambled eggs, not a smooth custard. The taste seemed ok, but whoever made this does not know what they are doing! Overall, the food was not memorable and a lot of it was done poorly. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.

Overall it's a gorgeous spot with good food and drinks but pretty expensive for portion sizes.

If you want a place for a good cocktail, dessert, or a place to chill at the bar then come here! The patio is gorgeous but the inside of the restaurant is beautiful as well. Unfortunately the service was somewhat slow and the food was just ok. We got the elote and calamari which were just alright. We did enjoy the breading on the calamari and it was well fried though! The crispy rice and avocado were really tasty. Overall I wish the portions were bigger for the apps but some are shareable. The biggest disappointment was the wagyu tacos. The flavor was good but the beef was cooked way too much. The best part about Wagyu is its melt in your mouth tender and this been was cooked so much it almost seemed like ground beef. The tacos were also TINY. The fried potatoes were well cooked and crispy but they just needed more sauce. It was a LOT of potato. We did enjoy the fried rice and the shrimp on it was cooked and seasoned well! Lastly the churros for dessert were the star! I would definitely be pick about what you get - I recommend the crispy rice, fried rice, churros, and calamari as well as cocktails.

Free parking right behind in the East lot, it was already more than half full at 10am. They had just opened and there were already a few tables occupied. It felt busy and maybe they didn't have enough staff for that time. There were only 2 staff taking orders. We stayed inside as it was a very hot day. We've been there for dinner before and always liked the modern cozy interiors. Our server took our drink orders and gave us a complimentary order of cardamom donuts, as if they knew it would be a while. The brewed coffees came out pretty fast but he didn't come back to take our order until almost 10:30, when we finally flagged him down. The food didn't take long but he forgot to put in my MILs side order of bacon so that didn't come out until we were mostly done eating. They had a good breakfast selection and lunch was available as well. We ordered: Salmon Eggs Benedict French Toast Avocado Toast Pesto Frittata Grilled Chicken sandwich Crispy chicken sandwich Everyone was happy with their food and we're happy to find another brunch place to take visitors to.

Service is always friendly however sometimes it is very slow. They have one of the best happy hours in the area. They have great options for cocktails. They do a great job with their drink menu, which makes it an easy place to sit and stay for a while. For dinner, my go-to is the salmon with mashed potatoes. It's consistently solid and something I come back for. Korean tacos are also so delicious. Easy place to recommend.

My second favorite was the chicken with some amazing reduction of some sort, love! The olives were just becuase I was hungry and I knew they would come out fast. The seafood paella was very good, just not as good as the brussels and chicken in my humble opinion and don't do it if you are not ready to get your fingers messy taking all the shells and pieces and parts off the shrimp. The bathroom was cute. The service was fast, olives minutes after we ordered, my favorite two dishes 12 minutes after ordering and paella, 12 minutes after that. The owner Rene was the server and he was very efficient for 6 pm on the Friday before the 4th of July with him the only one waiting on tables in the smallish (10 tables?) restaurant. By the way, that number of plates (4) perfectly filled two of us. The owner is from Mexico and cooks a Mexican menu for lunch. Next thing to try...

It was not great. The problem? I think it was because owner/chef Rene Ruiz Olivar was acting as waiter, not chef. We gave Sr. Ruiz the freedom to choose our tapas, with one exception, the black ink pasta with scallops and shrimp (Tinta Negra) that reviewers have raved about. He said, no problema--he would serve it. Then he must have forgotten because we never got it. The first tapa served, almond-crusted manchego (Almendrado), was plated prettily and was delicious but oh-so-sweet. It was an odd choice for a starter, would have been better as the finale in case nobody ordered dessert. Soon came a lamb tapa (Cordero). The lamb chops' quality was uncertain as the meat was severely overcooked. El Bodegon's langoustines (Gambas al Ajillo) had given every bit of their sea flavor to the sauce, which was magnificent, we all agreed. But where were the dish's promised mussels, the rice? One shared plate, a beef tenderloin tapa (Carne Brava), had apparently lingered too long in the kitchen--the meat was nearly cold. I adore papas bravas (Patatas Bravas). I must have had the dish a dozen times or more during my last trip to Spain, in 2017, when I visited friends who live in Ronda. During my six-week stay, we toured Andalucia, staying at hotels in large cities and visiting small towns. I also spent time sola in Madrid and Barcelona. Unlike in Spain, El Bodegon's potatoes were diced to death. Never in Spain have I ever had patatas bravas that were not substantial in size. All in all, I found the vegetables accompanying the tapas unrecognizable except for the tiny Brussels sprouts. The rest seemed chopped up or stirred to pieces in the pan. Some of my friends had churros for their dessert. They deemed them appropriately hot and tasty. My dessert was cheesecake torte, decked out with a candle as it was my 90th birthday. The torte was a gold-star winner. It was absolutely delicious, its plating the most successful of the evening. It was so perfect it almost made up for the sub-par tapas that preceded it. One of us had a view of the kitchen from his seat at the table. He saw a man other than the chef/owner doing the cooking. Was he a trainee? Did Sr. Ruiz help with the plating? God knows he didn't have a lot patrons to contend with in his role as waiter. It was a slow weeknight, and there were never more than four tables occupied. I sincerely regret that our time at El Bodegon differs from so many reviewers. Like them, I want to see Sr. Ruiz's little restaurant succeed. He has a hard row to hoe, and I hope a disappointing dinner like ours does not befall anyone else going forward.
