    Complimentary bread

Went to Jimmys Kitchen and Bar for Restaurant week and overall left very happy. Their offering was a 3 course for $42.95 which included soup/salad as a starter, steak or seafood as entree and a range of choices for the dessert. From the beginning I had the clam chowder, which was very creamy, and flavorful. It could use some more chunks of potato and clam to push itself towards a 5/5. Then came out some drinks, I ordered an old fashioned which was honestly a bit meh. Didn't really have curb appeal in the visuals, nor sweetness really. Kind of tasted a bit like watered down whiskey. Then came the bread basket. Excellent whipped butter and freshly baked bread When the entrees came out I was impressed it all came out on a cast iron pan as it kept the whole dinner nice and warm throughout my entire experience. The steak that came with for restaurant week was a 9 Oz manhattan steak. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare and medium rare was what I got! It was cooked to perfection and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Seasoning and char on the steak were also to my liking. The au gratin potatoes and veggies that come with were also a nice touch and were cooked just right. Last piece of the meal was the bread putting. The ice cream on top being from Sebastian Joe's was exactly what you'd expect, delicious and creamy. The bread putting itself I thought could use a bit more soaking to get it nice and soft and less firm, but the flavor was still there. Overall I give this experience 5/5, food was excellent especially the perfectly cooked steak, and the service was thorough. Honestly, I would come back just for the steak.

Once again, we enjoyed a very nice dinner for 5 tonight at Jimmy's. The hostess's were spot on with our reservation. Thank you. We received a wonderful table location that was a bit quieter than the rest of the establishment with a perfect chill server who vibed with our tempo of ordering. Halibut is in season right now and fresh ( not frozen) and we all took advantage of that and ordered off the special menue. I had the lobster/halibut risotto and really enjoy it.

Got reservations on My Table for New Year's Eve, so it was a full house. It was very snowy and the dedicated parking lot was full, we fortunately found a spot as someone left. Decor and environment were very festive, the place seemed to be hopping. We were quickly seated, it was cold but there was no place for coats. We sat on our heavy jackets. Our server was very busy but friendly and attentive. The menu focuses on seafood and steaks, but has a wide selection and something for everyone. Lots of choices for different times of the day and your mood make it suitable for any occasion. Daily and holiday specials are worth checking out. Started with drinks and an artichoke dip dish. It was served in a small skillet but didn't make it for pics, it was very tasty with the toasty bread. Next came small mixed salads. They were very good, but the dressing served on the side could have been more generous. Holiday specials we tried included Prime Rib and Salmon, also selected the Fillet Salad and Ribeye dinners. Dinners included choice of potato, I was very happy with my au gratin choice. I was very pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend a night out at Jimmy's!

Kelsey was a very attentive server in a very busy setting. The happy hour menu is amazing, but we were in the dining room this time. Food is consistently good with many options. We all enjoyed our choices, but the shrimp needed less time on the grill. Love the homey vibes. I'll be back.

This place was fabulous!!! We sat in the cozy, fireplace room and ordered the filet and prime rib special with sides of au gratin potatoes, cheesy brussel sprouts and green beans. I'm still dreaming of the juicy prime rib dipped in the luxurious au jus! I'd come back just to experience that again! Paired with an extra dirty martini, it was the perfect steak dinner date night! Our server was super nice and attentive. I definitely recommend Jimmy's Kitchen and Bar for a nice, special outing!

First time here and will be the first of many. I came Jimmy's during restaurant week and was note disappointed. The service was superb seriously the waitress was a superstar and helped us with all our questions and needs. The food was also amazing, not only do they start you off with bread and butter but they have some huge main course portions; seriously look at the picture, it's massive! Jimmys is hidden gem that I am glad I found and will make sure to continue to show love!

Met a colleague here for a lunch meeting. It has a supper club vibe and worked well as a meeting place. I ordered the small BLT Wedge salad. It came with blue cheese, a hard boiled egg and, of course, bacon and tomatoes. I had decided to skip the red onions this time. Everything was fresh and good tasting. Service was excellent. Parking was easy. Nice place for lunch.

Twice or three times I have been here, have been exclusively business occasions, and I was able to witness other events of similar nature, where people were mainly having business conversations, and the establishment was packed because of such. I think the fact that it is located in Minnetonka, amongst many company buildings, made it a convenient location for such. However, from a food perspective, I must say that everything fell short. I didn't take many photos due to not wanting to disrupt the occasion with my foodie habits, but I have had the Brussels sprouts and the salmon piccata. I have had the prime steakhouse meatloaf 2 years ago when first visiting this establishment. From my perspective, all the meat was very dry to the point that it started shrinking, and every bit of wetness on the meat was oil rather than the meat itself being juicy. The sides were also very small and sloppily placed, although I don't have a photo to showcase such. I have had the green beans and other veggies (2 years ago) as sides and the amount was tiny and the veggies looked quite pathetic. Apologies for the word choice here The Brussel sprouts appetizer were extremely dry, which I understood that frying could do such, but even then it was very much overcooked. They tasted bitter and way too crispy, and the sizes have shrunk as well. The parmesan cheese on the top, which was for sure the cheap kind instead of Parmegiano Reggiano, did not offer an extra layer of pleasant taste for the Brussel sprouts. Unfortunately I do not recommend those who want to visit for pleasantries or any other purposes where they're obligated to attend for professional purposes.

    The best Chicken Wings
    Stephanie B.

I love Jimmy's but I will say I've had a tough time branching out from my favorite dishes due to some inconsistencies with others. I'll start with my favorites: buffalo wings. I am not a wing girl and somehow I am here. The buffalo sauce is house-made and the flavor is out of this world. They are the best wings I have ever had. I also really love their French dip sandwich. The bread is crusty and perfect and I like their au jus. The chicken piccata is great as well and if I'm feeling indulgent, the lobster spinach artichoke dip is a delicious starter. With that said, I don't think the pastas are exciting and the brussels sprouts are dry. For drinks, I recommend ordering a standard cocktail. I have tried nearly all of their specialty cocktails and with the exception of their espresso martini, I have never been that impressed. They are certainly not bad drinks, but they all taste like something I could easily make at home. Wines are good! The best service I get is when I sit at the bar. I don't know why, but when I sit at the high tops and booths in the bar, I find myself hunting for my server once they drop off our food and have even gone up to the bar to order a drink when I couldn't get my server's attention. When I sit in the dining room, I find the servers linger and want to hang out and talk for wayy too long. Idk what's going on! As a former server myself, I always like to be personable with my server but I seem to struggle finding that balance here. Overall we will keep coming back. It's a great place to watch a game, the apps are great, they have an awesome happy hour, good prices, and the vibe is always nice.

    Spicy Fried Calamari Dinner
    Lu Z.

The appetizer spicy calamari is super good, but we did not taste any spice. Filit Mignon is extremely deciduous. The Rigtoni is very flavorful! Kid's menu has some good items and the price is very reasonable. It's hard to get a table on weekends. You probably will have to wait if you don't have reservation.

I went to Jimmy's for a work lunch with coworkers and it was so good! It was very spacious and not too busy at noon on a Wednesday. We were seated right away and had the best server. She recommended some great options and I ended up choosing the buffalo chicken salad. It was delicious! I would definitely recommend trying this spot!

    Clam chowder
    Kim N.

We went here for restaurant week and the Ny strip was buttery and delicious. Calamari and crab cakes were delicious. The Caesar salad was good although it was a little on the salty side for me. Clam chowder was order by another person. The bread was warm and soft. The atmosphere was great and a nice lowkey restaurant to have great conversations.

Maybe the best skillet cornbread I've had! For our entrées, we tried the margarita flatbread, the chicken pesto Bellagio, and the Cajun ribeye with a loaded baked potato. The flatbread was a bit disappointing, but the other two were pretty good. The steak was cooked medium rare, as ordered, and had a very good flavor. We were seated and had a view of the pond or water. Our server, Bryn, brought us a few glasses of bubbles to start while we looked at the menu. Bryn gave us some good recommendations, and we went with the Redstone breakfast. Redstone is known for their ribs, so what else could I choose? I selected a full rack of ribs, and the meat fell right off the bone. They had the perfect blend of BBQ, smoke, and tanginess. The sauce was not runny and stuck to the ribs. I didn't even bother with the fries. The coleslaw was mediocre and was lacking in flavor, but the ribs were heavy. We had a few glasses of wine to quench our thirst and relaxed and had great conversations as we caught up. Bryn checked up on us and made sure we had all we needed and provided perfect service. The bathrooms and restaurant areas were clean, and there was tons of free parking in their lot.

I ordered a Cuban with a side salad, which I was glad I was able to substitute and my wife got the steamed vegetables. Lots of pork on the Cuban, could have used some more pickle and mustard, but it was plenty good and the pork was juicy. Good loaf of sandwich bread as well. Her steamed vegetables were fresh looking and tasted good and the Caesar salad was great size and not too drenched in dressing. It was really good with plenty of croutons to top it off. The reservation policy may seem "strict", but if you can live with needing to provide a 24 cancel notice, I think you will find the service is good because the business doesn't get slammed by unexpected high demand. Wait person timing was off a tad when we first sat down. It felt a little rushed as we order our drinks and considered a starter. In fairness, a table of 16-20 followed us in so the wait person may have been doing us a favor. But it did influence my four star rating. Otherwise I'd have given 5 stars. Great care was taken when wait person checked for allergies. Not just asked, but noted and went to the kitchen to confirm. During the meal, flatware was changed out between courses, water refilled without disruption and the order arrived on time and all at one time. Our group enjoyed the halibut, salmon, and chicken bacon meatball items. Everyone loved their meals. A few of us ordered and split salads. We passed on desserts. The menu range may not be pages long, but all the usual suspects are there; salads, fish, poultry, beef, and pasta. And I know the chef rotates items on the menu. I encourage you to plan ahead.
