Usually cinnamon rolls tend to be too dry but the one at Parish was super moist and smothered in that ooey gooey cream cheese icing. I also appreciate the option to customize and swipe out sausage meats and veggies. Case in point, I was able to get the eggs benedict with turkey sausage instead of ham. Even though there is a bit of a line at the door, the meals come out fast and hot once your order does get placed. The drinks were pretty standard but my friend really enjoyed his espresso martini and my Paloma mimosa was sweet and packed with flavor. All in all, I really enjoyed every dish and I can't wait to come back and try more things!

It just wasn't crawfish season when I went, so noseys to ordering crawfish out of season. I also ordered alcohol, because why not. I got the most amazing Irish coffee! It the predecessor before all these martini espresso followers. I took a very messy and sticky bite of my hot honey chicken biscuit - which was huge by the way - and I was in bliss! I had a hard time picking one what I wanted because everything on the menu and what I saw coming from the kitchen looked so good. I opted to make my own omelette with swiss cheese, jalapenos and bell peppers; hashbrowns and a biscuit. They advertise that the biscuits are the "world's best" and I have to say they are VERY good. The hashbrowns were perfectly cooked and I could have eaten a second helping of them. This is a great stop if you're in the area, and I feel like I need to make some regular trips to Lafayette to work my way through the menu.

Just based on how it looked, I would not have expected much from the dish. While I cannot quite pinpoint how it could be improved visually, it simply came across as boring on the plate. That said, the omelette itself was better than expected once I started eating. The bites that included both shrimp and andouille sausage were the strongest and most flavorful parts of the dish. Overall, if I were judging strictly on appearance, my expectations would have been low. Taste wise, I would give the meal about a 6 out of 10. I did notice several other dishes coming out to nearby tables that looked more appealing, so while this order did not fully impress me, I would not rule out returning. I've been putting off this update for about 5 months, but it's time…read more I've come to Ema's around 200 times in the last 8 years and during The Covid years we even brought Christmas presents for all the servers. We've had many birthdays, baptism parties and even a funeral gathering here. That said, this was our go to place for a good 5 years, but with the management change (Jeremy is apparently gone as are nearly all the staff that was there for years) and us never seeing Ema, things went downhill. The last few visits had issues and when the last issue happened I ask to speak to the manager. To my surprise, and despite only a few tables of people the manager was "not able" to talk to us. We waited and after about 10 minutes left to never return. I can't recommend this restaurant any longer but there are many new options and if you watch my Top 100 you'll find at least 4 or 5 other excellent restaurants for breakfast and lunch. Sorry Ema, but you've let this place go.
