    Deviled eggs
    Tom M.

Decided to try this place because of the above average ratings. All the menu items sounded really good so I tried the deviled eggs as a starter. Instead of the traditional egg yolks, they rely on egg whites, which really took away from the flavor. Not sure why they did that considering the whites tend to give you the impression of being healthier, although the bacon and the rest of the ingredients were far from it. Overall, it was probably the worst tasting deviled eggs I've ever had and was more like wet cardboard. The side dish of sweet potato tater tots sounded good but again did not live up to my impressions after eating similar versions at other restaurants. These seem to be just frozen and microwaved. Even the size were relatively small and a little too uniform. I was really looking forward to the salad because of the various ingredients. I typically request that the salmon be cooked rare, and this one was close to medium rare. While not completely dry, it wasn't as tasty and the portion was small for an extra $10. I had only three medium sized shrimp, although plenty of grilled chicken. And I would estimate only a quarter of an avocado that was sliced pretty thinly. Very small sprinkles of nuts and 2 pieces of the advertised Mandarin oranges and mostly comprised of a lot of lettuce. Pretty poor deal for a $20 salad. Service was friendly, but almost nonexistent. I had to wait to refill my glass of water and was almost done with my meal by that time. She only stopped by once to check on me. With all the number of options nearby, this would not be my first choice. Probably my biggest concern would be in food safety. The serving trays and plates did not look clean.

Upon arrival, I immediately thought that this place is definitely a great spot to watch sports because the entire room has a multitude of TVs. We started with the house made jumbo pretzel app; it was HUGE and very good. Then we had the buffalo chicken mac n cheese and the brick burger classic, no bun. We enjoyed both. They also have a good drink selection. Service was great!

THE GOOD ---------------- + Spacious restaurant with lots of tables, booths and a large bar indoors + Lots of outdoor seating as well + Plenty of TVs located overhead for each table indoors + Our waiter was friendly, quick with his service MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Most of our food was very salty ---- Sirloin Steak with cheddar mashed potatoes and broccoli was decent. The steak was tender, mashed potatoes and broccoli were what they were, but the wild mushroom gravy made the entire meal saltier than we'd like ---- Chicken Pot Pie wasn't huge, but enough for our kids to share. It too was overly salty. ++++ Blackened Chicken & Shrimp Avocado Salad was very light and a solid salad according to my wife RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Plenty of parking in the restaurant's private parking lot

    - Large, spacious layout with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options--perfect for any group size - Comfy couch-like booth seats make it a relaxing spot to hang out for hours - TVs all around showing various games, great for sports fans - Friendly waitstaff who are attentive, though the service could be a bit quicker - Easy on the salt! Chicken Pot Pie had a flaky, crispy crust but the filling was way too salty, which overshadowed the rest of the dish; Sirloin Steak was cooked perfectly to medium but a little on the chewy side--mushroom gravy was also too salty; Blackened Chicken & Shrimp Avocado Salad--a standout! Fresh, crisp greens, flavorful chicken and shrimp, and the honey lime dressing was light and refreshing--definitely a must-try! - Kids menu available on a coloring sheet: the usual chicken tenders with fries, mac and cheese, sliders, pizza, etc.

Food was meh. Really just came there to see all of the Devils stuff. Plus the lemonade was watered down. Buffalo sauce, okay. A bit watery.

We had a great experience here! The food was delicious and came out fast, we never wondered where our waitress was, and it was a super fun vibe inside! I definitely recommend this place for a casual night out. 10/10! The portions were pretty big for the price, every entree was an average of around $20, and we were all stuffed at the end! We will definitely be back here! Pros: good atmosphere, food was good, service was nice. Cons: nothing exceptionally stood out to me, and the food wasn't like mouth watering.

Came here for lunch today. The place looks like an upscale sports bar. Our server was friendly & efficient. We ordered and the food came out promptly and delicious! I d highly recommend this place!

The food was delicious, the service is a bit slow but not the servers fault, they need more help. The ambiance is just what you would expect from a Tavern that serves food, reminds me of other chain restaurants like Long Horn.

Bleu & white chips. They were good. Had a little spice to it.

So I came here about a decade ago when my kids were small. I gave the experience 3 stars then. Today I give it 4. The food is good. The bartenders were friendly. If you have a large group there are plenty of tables that seat 6+. I am disappointed in the fact that they didn't have any local hard cider on tap. I still wouldn't bring toddlers but 10 and older I would. Good for lunch crowds.

I'm in a mood so I'm gonna go on one today…read more The Grand Tavern is hands down the best restaurant in the area. My husband and I have been going here for years. We don't come as often as we used to because yes it is pricey but I would much rather come here and have a special night with incredible service, food, and drinks than still spend over $100 at another restaurant and get average food. The Grand Tavern is unpretentious, welcoming, entrees offer sizable portions. I have NEVER left hungry. Main complaints I see are price - again, yes it's expensive but it's worth it. Also you can see the menu before you go, how do you not know what you're walking into?? Complaints about the burger. First of all the menu changes seasonally. There's no way their patty is frozen. Everything is FRESH AF. And yeah, American cheese is king on a burger. Again, it's on the menu what did you expect? This is a restaurant that has literally never disappointed. I will always save my pennies for a great night out here. Everyone's entitled to their opinion obviously but entitlement is a hell of a drug. Check out the menu and have a great night.

Terrific food, my cavatelli was great, and the swordfish fresh and tasty. Fun cocktail service…read more (though it's Lent, so I was happy they offer a great NA IPA. The other 5 in my group enjoyed their drinks. Our server took our orders verbally, and all apps and mains came out without a hitch. No menus handed (they ask you to look at their website to choose!) and the menu is small, with specials limited to cocktails. It is dark and quite noisy (they did dial back the loudness after we asked) so keep that in mind.)

I would imagine reservations are a must during summer months. Was able to be seated without one at 5pm. Wonderful healthy options. Ordered the Vegetable Curry Bowl- 23 with Pasture Raised Chicken- 30. Was amazing. My wife had the Cavé Classic Chicken Veggie Soup- 10. Also very very good. All organic, farm picked & raised & all gluten free. Prices were very reasonable. Was able to park right in front of establishment. It seems menus constantly change. With amazing options throughout the year. Can't wait to try something on the lunch menu. Kudos to the chef.

Visited Cave Bistro off the recommendation of a friend, and also DDD (iykyk)…read more I've frequented many DDD Restaurant's in the past, and they always seem to be very crowded. So just to be safe, I did make a reservation right when the restaurant opened. Seems to say I played it a bit too safe, I was the only one i there for the first 20-min.! In any case, then dining area was very bright and open, and I was seated near the window, which I enjoyed. I tried three foods, appetizer-entree-dessert, here's the breakdown: 1) Appetizer: Pan Roasted Achiote Octopus ($22) which has Shaved Pickled Carrots & Onions, Chermoula. For 1 person, this was quite substantial and a delicious start to the meal. The octopus wasn't tough, it was cooked perfectly, with a nice char-grilled flavour. Paired up with the accoutrements, it was a 10/10 way to begin my meal! 2) Entree: Grass-Fed Beef-Roasted Marrow Burger ($26) which has Raclette Cheese, Caramelized Onion-Tomato Jam, Fresh Baked Gluten Free Brioche Bun, & Beef Tallow Fries. Why 4-stars? Because of this item. The day I arrived the restaurant was trying their new "Baked Gluten-Free Brioche" on me, apparently I was one of the first --- the bread was dry AF, lol! I loved the burger --- the marrow taste, the raclette cheese --- I sing their praises, but wrong day to test out the "test bread"! It ended up on a Yelp Review. Hopefully the bread-recipe has been improved on after this review. PS: The onion-tomato jam perfectly pairs with the richness of the marrow burger. 3) Lastly, I ordered for dessert the bread pudding. They don't put their desserts on the menu, but if you ask the server they will let you know what the restaurant has for the day. I believe it's seasonal as well. It was average at best, good ---- but didn't stand-out. Overall, I'd totally recommend a stop-by if you're in the area! It's always awesome visiting these sites features on DDD, and tasting for yourself the hype behind their food!
