Dine here often. Food and service is usually great. Tonight was a little off. Service and food was sub par. My pork chop was over cooked and over seasoned (too salty). Server was not attentive. Delicious food! My mother had the flea monon and it was perfectly cooked! I ordered the scallops and they were perfectly cooked! No sand which was amazing since sea food typically grosses me out. My father ordered the salmon Which he said was delicious and perfectly cooked! The service was amazing they seated us almost instantly! We had made reservations the day before and the last minute reservation was on top! The service was absolutely amazing they were checking in on us! We went to the Redmond Brickhouse to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were seated near the door and the setting sun blinded my husband due to the inadequate blinds on their door. The waiter apologized and said they were trying to figure out a way to remedy the problem. All they had to do was place something large enough on the shelf behind the booth to prevent blindness. Great start to our evening! I liked the margarita I ordered, but husband thought it too bitter. My starter, a Caesar Salad had zero presentation and a weird bland flavor. Caesar salad dressing has a strong and distinct flavor and the dressing on this salad tasted like rosemary and nothing else. When our entrees came husband complained EVERYTHING on his plate was cold including his steak - he sent the steak back and it didn't help much to warm it. My salmon arrived hot (and a bit overdone) but the sides on the same plate were cold, like they had been sitting for 20 min while waiting for the salmon. For dessert we had the berry cobbler, and the berries had no flavor - I mean, how is that even possible? The texture was right but the flavor was missing! It wasn't sweet, either. I don't know where all the 5-star reviews are coming from. Way over priced and not even mediocre quality of food. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Online, with the Brick house Logo, as far as you can see a legit website, it talks about happy hour until 5:30 with some appealing specials noted. We got there at 4:30 to be told "we haven't had happy hour since Covid". What? That's YEARS ago. So please, take care of business and update your own website. So if you want a good happy hour, or to go somewhere based on their own home page, pay no attention to this one's website. The excuse was "we can't change the website." (??) The food looked amazing and the atmosphere was top notch. Since moving to Redmond many have told us this is the place to have a top notch experience. And, you know what? I believe them. The Host shook our hands and seated us. He dropped off bread. Plate after plate of delicious food came out with multiple servers serving the 7 or 8 other occupied tables. It was looking promising. Cinnamon, our waitress came over, told us about the specials and took our drink order, and went back behind the bar. 20 minutes went by. Nothing. Not even a look in our direction. Cinnamon just kept filling the real servers' drink orders. And so we walked out. Kind of a sad experience given the expectations. Enjoyed a celebratory meal on a Friday night, reservations are highly recommended! The place was hoppin'. 4 adults and a kiddo and everybody enjoyed their meals. The steaks were a beautiful and well-seasoned medium rare, my mother in laws scallops were delicious and buttery. Their clam chowder is stellar and chunky. Their fried Brussel sprouts are delicious and sweet, with crunchy almonds. The baked potatoes were cooked to fluffy perfection and don't miss out on the decadent desserts! The kids meals is not printed by included fish and chips, chicken strips and steak skewers and fries. I believe there were a couple additional items that I cannot recall. We enjoyed lemon drops and old fashions, the balance was fabulous. Truly fantastic classic cocktails. The place has rather dim lighting which adds to the coziness of leather chairs, brick walls and high ceilings. Definitely an old world vibe. Enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, staff were very inviting when we arrived. The cocktails were good - had the huckleberry Lemon drop and it was very good. Started with the caprese salad, it had very and I mean very little balsamic, we had to ask for more, and overall it was okay. We opted for the specials of Alaskan Salmon and lamb. Both were excellent. The fish was cooked to perfection for me, and my husband said the lamb as up there in the best he has had. We could tell both of the proteins were very fresh. Pricing was high for both dishes but based on menu prices and these being specials we figured it would be more but both were higher than we would have expected. Yet, we were both happy with our meals. Our waiter (Jeff) was fabulous. He gave us time to enjoy your meal and didn't push us to order, so overall our experience was good. So why the 4 stars versus five you might ask, it was the salad and the overall value of the meal that knocked off a star. The upside was we were staying at the Scp hotel one block away and that was great. I would give it a try. If I'm in the area again, I'd likely go again. read more

Those who ordered their steaks medium, received rare, another who ordered their steak medium rare it arrived well done, a fourth person found their steak tasteless and inedible. My halibut was tasty and cooked fine, the crab cakes were also very good, and the seafood pasta was good. So overall, quite the mixed bag from good to mediocre to inedible. The wait was long and slow for our food. Our server seemed overworked, with too many tables and with no one to help her bring out food and serve our group. She was professional and extremely apologetic as we showed her the condition of the various cooks on our steaks. The price seemed high to us for Redmond/Central Oregon restaurants, most of the steaks starting at $40 up to $65, especially when they aren't cooked perfectly and the atmosphere seems very casual not classy. I'd like to say I'd give them a second chance, but with so many other restaurants I'd like to try I just don't want to take another chance and plan to take my $ and business elsewhere. Food, service, ambiance were superb. Our waitress, Debbie, was wonderful. We had NYE reservations, arrived 10 mins early and were seated immediately. Service was amazing, and staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Each staff member appeared to sincerely enjoy their job and everyone we talked to was incredibly pleasant. Our drink orders were in quickly and the drinks were delicious. The huckleberry lemon drop was perfection! We also tried the John Daly and a Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned, both equally impressive. For dinner, I ordered a top sirloin medium and my boyfriend ordered a New York medium well. Both prepared perfectly, appropriately cooked and incredibly mouth watering and tender. The vegetables and potatoes both incredibly prepared as well. Debbie boxed our leftovers for us as well. We chose to get another round of drinks instead of dessert, though the dessert plates I saw going to other tables also looked delicious. Zero complaints about our experience! We were excited to go back to Brickhouse for first time since November 2020. But unfortunately it turned out to be incredibly disappointing. We both ordered steaks and they both were disappointing. The filet mignon was good on bites with bacon but just ok when eaten by itself. However the blackened ribeye was downright bad and would be disappointing at Applebee's. They cooked it as we asked but it just was not good steak. Considering the expectations for this dinner it was incredibly disappointing! We will be going to tumalo feed company next time. :( read more

I've eaten at two Brickhouse locations and have loved everything I've tried. The Fillet Oscar is, by far, a favorite. The fillet was cooked to perfection and soooo tender! The asparagus was delicious with just enough bite to it. The crab wasn't manhandled and had its natural, buttery flavor. The bernaise wasn't overcooked or separated and the fish was not oversauced. Super impressed with this restaurant! Made reservations a week ago for party of 8 for a Monday night. We wanted to go there for my sister in laws 60th birthday celebration. They only had a couple slots left and we took the 5:30 reservation. This establishment was packed on a Monday night. Our server Jeff was super awesome and was super personable and very attentive to us. The food was really great! Another nicer place a friend convinced me to go to with him. I got a salmon salad and the salmon on it was delicious and a nice treat for me. The lettuce though was hilarious. I admit I've had this review saved in my drafts for awhile now, but we still joke about the lettuce. The pieces were massive and made it embarrassing to eat. I was laughing through the whole thing! Is this normal for nicer restaurant salads? I still have no idea. But in all honesty I'm not exaggerating, and it was actually uncomfortable and a chore to try and fit those lettuce pieces in my mouth. Thankfully the delicious salmon saved the meal. This is one of my friend's favorite restaurants in Redmond though, and the service was great (except this weird part where the server took some of our bread dip before we were finished for some reason) so I gotta give it a good rating even if I will continue to give it a hard time about the crazy lettuce. Celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary on Saturday, 9/11/2021 (yes, a very crappy day for a wedding anniversary but it was our day before "the 9/11"). When we arrived for a 5:00 dinner reservation the restaurant was already jumping and at least 3/4 full (including the high tops and bar). This is not a place to go if you are looking for quiet conversation. People are often here to celebrate, the restaurant is a fairly open space, and it will be a bit loud. The service was excellent from start to finish and there was no shortage of employees. The hostess, waitress, busser, and wine steward were all extremely friendly and efficient. For drinks I had a Hendricks & tonic while my wife had an Absolute & soda ($20 for the two drinks). With our meal we each had a glass of Malbec as recommended by the wine steward ($20 for the two glasses). Prior to the main course we split a Caesar salad, which was outstanding. I will order this salad again. The bread we were served was also delicious. For entrees my wife ordered the Filet Oscar with baked potato and I had the ribeye with mashed potato. Unlike most high-end restaurants where the entree is a la carte at Brickhouse the entree is accompanied with potato and vegetables (broccoli and carrots - not my favorites). While the entrees were good they were not as great as they could be because both were undercooked. My medium rare ribeye was served rare and my wife's medium-well filet was served closer to medium rare. I never send meat back for additional cooking because that never works out. The restaurant acknowledged our anniversary by offering to buy us dessert. I'm not a big dessert person and nothing on the dessert menu appealed to me but my wife eagerly chose the chocolate lava cake, which is prepared like a soufflé. Unfortunately, the kitchen dropped it just before we were to be served so they had to start over. Out of the blue our waitress brought us over each another glass of Malbec since we had to wait for the dessert. My wife judged the cake to be excellent. Even with the comped dessert and the comped extra glasses of wine we spent $210 including tip (25%). No, it isn't cheap. But The Brickhouse is very good and I will definitely be back. read more

Both my daughter and I got terrible stomach aches in the middle of the night. We didn't know each other did until the morning. She had a flight out that she could not go. Had to push to today. Lied on couches all day. We shared bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer. Sure that was it. We had a 7 pm reservation. Have a feeling the scallops or the bacon were not taken care of. Let's start with the food. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and decided no better time to splurge on some delicious steak and drinks. My husband and I both ordered a Ribeye ($65 each) mine with scallop potatoes and his with mashed potatoes. I'm addition I ordered a salad and he ordered a cup of clam chowder. The steaks had ZERO salt and were so unbelievably chard that, that is all you could taste. The cut itself was perfect but the cooking of it was awful!! My potatoes tasted like they had sat all day and were microwaved moments before plating. My husbands potatoes were actually pretty good. The salad was decent but the clam chowder tasted like you put flour in your mouth and swished around. Just plain gross! Our children's food was good thank goodness. I got a lemon drop which was terrible, nothing lemon about it!! Our service was great, we have no complaints about it but after spending $220 (without tip) for dinner I'd NEVER recommend coming here for a delicious nice dinner! read more

I was in town over the weeks and had eaten at the Brickhouse before. Great meal and service. In checking their web site and other sources, such as Yelp, i saw Brickhouse was open on Sunday from 4 to 9 PM. So since we were leaving on Monday, we wanted a good meal on Sunday. To our surprise, the business was closed. I was very disapointed. Serveral people came up thinking you were also open. I would suggest you update your hours of operation both on your window and on your website, yelp etc. read more
