If you're vacationing you need to visit. The difference is unreal since they replaced Shipwreck. Open layout, comfortable ambiance, and a beautiful bar. Can't quiet remember the owners name, but very humble and a classic gentlemen. Calm chowder is by far some of the best I've had and pricing is very reasonable compared to other restaurants up Route 6. I recommend this place to all my renters. Fits all crowds. I can say enough about this place and the level of service the staff provided. We stopping in for lunch with our dog. They gladly accommodated is, even offered water for our animal. Get the jerk wings, you won't be sorry. Most places toss the wings in a little sauce and call it a day. Not here, they were removed from the fryer and caramelized in the sauce in a pan before serving. That extra step creates a wonderful sticky sauce on a crunchy wing that's hard to beat, and a welcome surprise after being tired of eating seafood ;) read more

So excited to have stumbled onto this wonderful place. Stopped in for a quick dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had the baked local seafood which was shrimp, lobster and scallops in a newberg sauce. I have to say this was one my most favorite dishes ever! After a long day touring the cape, the wife and I were wiped. We wanted something close to our motel, this place was almost right next door and it looked good so we stopped; I'm glad we did. We split the shrimp appetizer and some clam chowder to start. We also received fresh hot out of the oven bread (i love bread). Would love to review but have yet to see any. Was told 20 min wait for a table even though several just needed to be bussed. Took 40 mins to be seated. Then it took another 30 mins before being approached by a waiter. And that only happened after flagging down the hostess to ask for a server. Had made reservations here for after soccer kids dinner and they promised us a buffet for 40 people and called an hour before and canceled the buffet due to lack of staff and support which is outrageous. We arrived there and it was a cluster mess, servers aimlessly walking around, slow bartender and all around bad clueless service. They finally allowed us to order off a 4 selection menu, allowing us to sit outside in the back which was a make shift patron in a parking lot and it was not even set up. They took our order and brought out food and drinks after a while and it was ok, but food tasted horrible, but we ate it since we were hungry and had no choice. In the end never again would I come to this place since it was a disaster and a mess. Travel 100 feet down the road for better food, better service and better treatment. What gets me about these restaurants, they cry about not having patrons but then cannot live up to expectations due to lack of staffing and scheduling, over promising when they know they cannot perform. read more

My husband and I have come to Eastham one weekend every year for the last several years and tried Brickhouse Restaurant last night for the first time. The fried calamari appetizer was the best I have ever had! I ordered one of their specials, Curry Mussels with linguine and it was absolutely amazing. This is one to skip; poor atmosphere and very overpriced food for the quality. Lobster chowder had decent flavor but not hot enough. Beet salad skimpy for 13.95. My date had the "salmon special" - ok piece of salmon but mediocre sauce on it and a gummy scoop of white rice- not so special for 23.95. WOW. The best fish tacos I've had in ages and I eat a lot of fish tacos. There's a twist here with a griddled taco shell and a citrusy sauce along with the usual crispy fish with a hint of heat. The coconut shrimp were also outstanding with an orange and rum dipping sauce. Not the usual dredged in a greasy film from over frying these were so fresh and superbly crunchy. My family of four went there Saturday afternoon to grab a quick lunch before hitting the road back home. We wanted to check it out because we'd never been. The place was Pretty empty, there were two other tables taken, we were the third, and there were three people at the bar. We ordered and our appetizer came out pretty quickly. Then we waited 40 minutes for lunch. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich, fish sandwich, meatball sandwich, and fish and chips.. again, the place was dead. After 40 minutes our food came... my fried cod sandwich was just a small piece of fried fish on a roll with sauce. No lettuce or tomato.. just fish and bread. The coleslaw is almost straight vinegar.. awful. Pulled pork sandwich was skimpy on the pork, and my daughter didn't get the fish and chips she ordered, she got the same fish sandwich I did. She ended up not eating it because she didn't like the remoulade sauce on it. We were going to send it back for the right meal but we couldn't wait another 40 minutes for it to be fixed. Food is decent, nothing special, very overpriced for what you get (even if it was the correct meal). With so many other great places around to eat at, I wouldn't recommend this one. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Couldn't have been more happy with our choice. You walk in the front door and you smell some of the food cooking and I knew it was going to be really good. I love a good chili especially if it's made with chunks of meat and a few beans. This was the jerk pork chili. Just the right amount of spice and heat , not overly hot. Best I've had in a long time. Main course I had the special Curry Little neck clams over linguine. Tons of chopped up local clams and about a dozen in the shell. There is also haddock but the clams were the star. The sauce was a very light Curry broth . Excellent! Wife had the orange glazed scallop. Lots of scallops with a side of mashed and fresh string beans. A little heat and some sweetness. Delicious. Stuffed but had to order the Jamaican rum cake. Killer dessert. We ended up talking with a couple of other diners over it. They ordered the same cake. Service was very good and prices very reasonable. May go back again tonight. read more

Absolutely horrible. To start, I placed an order for pick up and they said that it would take about 45 minutes, it ended up taking well over an hour. The quality of food is so poor for the price and there was absolutely no flavor. I placed an order of 5 different entrees and they completely messed up 3 of them. The burgers came cold with soggy fries and no coleslaw! I had ordered the Brickhouse burger and they served me a plain burger with a single onion ring on it! What the heck is that? And I got no tarter sauce with my scallops. Overall such a bad experience from this restaurant, will never dine here again or recommend it to anyone. read more

To start, my family and I walked into the restaurant with a reservation and we let the hostess know and she took a solid 8 minutes to do anything, after we were seated we ordered 4 beers and a soda, the soda took about 7 minutes to come out and the beers never came out and we waited 35 minutes for them, our waiter Matt who was only useful for wiping your shoes on kept apologizing every 3 minutes, eventually we got sick of waiting and asked the bartender what was taking so long and she told us she will "get to us when I can."
