This restaurant was highly disappointing!!! It was just Meh! The waitress inattentive, not overly friendly and did only what she had to to ensure she got a tip. Our table ordered the buffalo fried cauliflower which was great! the crab cakes were burnt and when we pointed it out to the waitress her answer was, well it's not burnt on the inside. We made her take them back. We ordered sandwiches and fries and I think the food sat under the warming lights for at least 30 minutes after they were ready the melted cheese look like it had been out in the open air for days. We arrived at the restaurant at 12:25 and we left at 2:30. Too long for what we ordered! My advice keep driving and find another restaurant Hyannis isn't that far to drive! read more

I came in May and service, food and portion sizes were amazing. So good came back the next night. Fast forward to July. Service terrible right from the hostess to the waiter. Wanted this to be a winner but unfortunately, we were hoping for more. That being said, the people around us seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their dining experience and the staff was friendly. However, we ordered the seasoned shrimp appetizer, the salad special and the beet salad with salmon. While the seasoned shrimp was advertised as wrapped in plantains, the plantains were separate. The sauce for this dish was definitely the highlight. Sweet with just a hint of kick. The salads were edible but clearly from a bag. The beet salad was constructed with canned beets, fresh lettuce, and overcooked, bland salmon. The special salad was not so special. It would not have taken much to spruce up the Costco or BJ's wholesale salad fixings but that didn't happen. Perhaps the other menu items were more distinctively prepared. Hope they up their game because, with just a few tweaks, it could be so much better. read more

I would not recommend this restaurant. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks. We had asked for bread but we were told it was being heated and never received any- other tables were greeted with bread by their server. We waited approximately 1 hour for our dinners. The pork loin was microwaved and not warm in the middle. The chicken curry was also microwaved. I would recommend going some place else. read more

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. I never write negative reviews but I feel compelled to this time if only to warn others so they don't waste their time and money. The menu looked great and we made reservations - and even got a 10% discount code because we did. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and there were a few couples in front of us so we waited patiently for the front of house manager to get to us. We informed her we had a reservation and she disappeared for 20 minutes. By this time a sizable crowd was gathering but there was no one to seat anyone - or even take names. When the front end manager returned we were informed that it would be a few minutes because one of their wait staff had just arrived. No worries, we're on vacation and we had some time before our 8pm commitment. We asked if we could wait at the bar and grab a drink while we waited which we did. The bartender, Amelia, was great (the only reason there are two stars). We nursed our drink for about thirty minutes while the crowd in the lobby built up and no sign of the manager. Finally we decided to sit at the bar and order our dinner which we did. My son ordered a lobster bisque but was informed they were all out. This is Cape Cod - how can you be out of lobster bisque! It took well over an hour for our meals to be delivered. Amelia, the bartender, repeatedly apologized for the delay. The food was OK at best. My wife's salmon was like leather, my short rib was cooked well but there was no seasoning and my son's clam strips was a collection of fried breading bits that included three (yes, 3) actual clams. Our experience took well over two hours. If they don't get their act together the Brickhouse restaurant will not last another season. read more

Tried the Brickhouse on Saturday nite Seven adults not in a hurry an all had something different an all were more than satisfied with our choices. Service was slow due to staff leaving for school early but those who were left all chipped in an were very pleasant. Our food came out hot and delicious. This is our favorite restaurant without exception! Whether dining in (well-spaced) or outside, the menu is varied and every dish is loaded with flavor. Even the fried clams were perfect and didn't have that used oil flavor. The jerk chicken and jerk salmon (my husband's favorite) were fabulous. One of my favorite dishes is the baked scallops with Newburg sauce. So many layers of flavor and the mashed potatoes tasted better than my own! Be patient. Service is slower although the staff is always hustling because getting help these days is impossible, but trust me...it's worth the wait. The staff is friendly and hardworking. Our server Julia was very attentive. The food was outstanding. One member of my party got the short ribs which he may as well have licked clean he said it was the best short rib he's ever had! Several others got the sirloin steak which they LOVED. One got the jerk salmon and another got the blackened scallops. No one was disappointed!! All the food was exceptional! We were excited to go to this restaurant, but sadly, the service was far below our expectations. Our waiter took a half and hour to come check on us after bringing our food, and our appetizer took almost an hour to come out--but only half our appetizer actually came! We asked for a sample of a glass of wine as well, and the waiter brought a whole glass instead, completely forgetting that we asked for a sample. We finally put our food order in, and after waiting for a while, we asked our waiter what was going on. The waiter rolled his eyes at us and simply said, "the kitchen's backed up." No apology, no accommodations, simply, "the kitchen's backed up." He was clearly inexperienced, and the place was obviously understaffed, eventually we just asked for our food to go, only to find out on our way back home the our bag was ripped in half and the back of the car was covered in marinara sauce from a dish that wasn't covered correctly! Overall, horrible experience. Don't recommend! The food was good, but the service was horrendous. read more

Having had great meals before, we decided to order dinner for pickup for our family visiting from out of state. We called ahead and we were greeted with a friendly voice who took our order and ensured that the order would be ready at the time we specified for pickup. She asked for my vehicle description and said that someone would bring out my food or if I wanted, I could call when arrived. This is where it went south. I arrived a few minutes before the specified time and decided to call to let someone know I was there to pick up our order. No one picked up and it went to voicemail. I tried 31 times to get someone to pick up but still just to voicemail. After being 15 minutes beyond pick up time, and with no one checking to see if I were there, I decided to go in to the restaurant. The were a number of people mulling around waiting for a host/ hostess, but no one was there. On a table next to the door there was our order. No one came, and as I had already paid, I grabbed our order and left. Needless to say the food was Luke warm at best, and some items were incorrect. This was an extremely disappointing experience, and I feel that they are not well equipped to handle pick up orders. read more
