Our waitress was so sweet and worth 5 stars. The food is more like a 1.5 and we aren't crazy food snobs. We looked this place up and it said "comfort food" but really it's more like buffet food quality. Not much flavor - shockingly expensive considering it's not tasty. We ordered the nachos- don't do it. It says it is topped with chili but it's really pulled pork with beans...which doesn't sound terrible, but just wasn't good. For our main course I ordered the veggie burger with mashed and my niece ordered the steak tips with mashed and green beans. The steak tips were over $20 and normally came with asparagus. To substitute for green beans it was an extra $1.50...really? Asparagus is more expensive than green beans. My veggie burger normally came with fries and it was an extra $1.50 to sub mashed potatoes. The veggie burger was a frozen patty with hard edges...no special sauce or aioli etc- just one sad piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato. Our mashed potatoes looked like purée - again not tasty. Nice atmosphere and nice people - without upgrading the quality of the food this place will have a hard time making it. If it was cheaper I would have just skipped the review as I hate writing negative things...but for what we paid this place is super duper "meh". I hope the business can accept the gold nugget in this review and change things up. read more

Really enjoyed our dinner here tonight! The menu is very extensive, with many Caribbean dishes as well as more typical Cape Cod favorites. Good drink choices as well. We shared an absolutely fresh spinach salad, and then I had a scallop curry which was fabulous - delicious, a generous portion, and just-right moderately spicy. On a Saturday night, we called this restaurant to verify they were open. The person on the phone informed us they were open until 8:30 but stopped seating people at 8pm. We arrived at 7:53, exactly 5 minutes after we called to verify they were open, we were told that they were no longer seating people. We informed them we just called, the hostess seemed surprised and told us they were told to stop seating people. Hostess was nice. But very annoying. Big disappointment. The worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. A good friend of likes this restaurant, and I thought it would be very nice to get a gift card from the Brickhouse for her birthday, so that she and her husband could enjoy dinner there. They won't take orders for gift cards over the phone, so I was instructed to go to their website and order. I placed my order in the early afternoon on June 30 2021. We needed the card by July 12. When we hadn't received the card by July 6 we called and they told us that it too 7 to 10 business days to process a gift card. THIS IN AND OF IT SELF IS REDICULOUS. However, we were told at that time, on the 6th, that they were sending the card out that day. As I write this on July 12 2021, we still have not received my friends gift card. read more

The Brickhouse is our go to when we are on the Cape. My husband and I enjoy dinner at the bar when it's the two of us, dining with the kids and enjoying a night out with a larger group. Nina was our young, yet attentive server last evening. The 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal, noting that some people are going to pass this place by because of its bland exterior. This restaurant had decent food, but it wasn't good enough where I thought it should be on our "must visit again" list. The highlight was the coconut shrimp appetizer with an orange rum marmalade. Most of our family's dinners were average at best. My local seafood plate had a small amount of seafood, with a light drizzle of Newburg sauce (even though it said it was covered)... Also, they tried to combine a baked buttery Ritz topping and newburg which I was curious to try, but it was too much. My sister's seafood scampi special had a surplus of seafood but it was also drowned in olive oil. All of this to say, it wouldn't be bad to stop in for a meal if you can't figure out where to go, but you may not have a strong desire to come back! read more

My husband and I stopped in on a whim during a weekend down the Cape. I am very glad we did! The food was excellent. I had the cheeseburger, and I am a burger snob...it was fantastic. It was perfectly seasoned and I wish I asked for what they used. My husband got the fried clams and said those were also delicious. I was definitely underwhelmed. The hostess Wasnt very knowledgeable nor personable. I asked her if they had a booster seat and she said they did not but then another gentleman said yes we do. Our drinks were messed up. The chowder had great flavor. My husband ordered short rib. Mashed potatoes were cold. Meat was a a bit dry and salty. I ordered seafood fra diablo. The mussels were sandy the pasta was mushy and did not taste like fra diavlo at all. My husband did like his jerk wings. I wanted to like this place but was very underwhelmed. Service was not good. Dirty dishes sat on table for a while. Looked to me that there needed to be an owners presence on floor to see what was going on. read more

Went with 5 other friends and we were all happy with our food. One person quite amazed with size of his salad. I had baked seafood platter to compare with another restaurant in Orleans, and found it better, not watery like competitor. And a lot of flavor. Wife had the Jamaican chili and coconut shrimp and both quality meals. Food has always been great there but wait staff training needs improving. Evident from other reviews where folks please with food, but not the service. My favorite spot in this area of Cape Cod. read more

Monday morning, at home in Framingham, after returning from our trip to the Cape, I noticed my credit card was missing. I called the Brickhouse Restaurant about noon on Monday and they confirmed I had left it behind. They said they would send it to me. The next day, Tuesday, the card was in my Framingham mailbox. Came in for a late lunch. Inside was a large bar area in the middle with lots spaced out seating. It felt clean d crisp inside...chilled vibe.
