Bricks is one of my favorite restaurants in Reno. It's such a classy place and always feels like a special night out. You will find everything to be perfect at this restaurant. The food is beyond excellent, as a picky eater, my food always comes the way I ordered. For example, I don't like any pink in my steak. It's always tender and not over cooked. The salmon was served over spinach with a chopped tomatoes/capers topping. It also came with a side of polenta. Oh my -- I felt like I was at a 5 star restaurant! My husband had linguini with pesto with an added side of roasted chicken. It is rare for him to compliment food but he thought it was really good. Dinners came with homemade soup or salad (I had the soup, my husband upgraded to spinach salad). My neighbor said to make sure to have their Picon Punch, Nevada's state drink, so I did! Coney Island Bar, family owned and operated since 1935, was added to the State Register of Historic Places. Pretty cool! And the walls are adorned with mainly western-themed original art that happened to be painted by a family member years ago. Between the outstanding service, wonderful meal, and old school ambience, we definitely plan on coming back!

At one point a person in our party had to flag down another server so we could get refills on water. Would recommend for food but not for service.

I had the NY Steak and colossal baked potato for my entree. The steak was actually a little dry. The baked potato was huge and delicious. We started with the pork belly and it wasn't good. Way overcooked and dry. 1/3 couldnt even be eaten because it was like jerky and the sauce on top was not good. A strange version of a chimichurri. When the steaks arrived my wife's was way overcooked. Mine was cooked to temp but the outside was so tough and thick I had to saw through it with my steak knife to get to the juicy center. It was odd for sure. At dessert time they were out of the crème brule and at that point we were happy to just pay the bill and call it a night. Sadly we won't be returning to the steak house that is right down the street.
