The nice lady who I assume was Mina/the owner showed me where I could try on the pants and she quickly pinned the pants according to how long I wanted the hem. She also confirmed that she would duplicate the original hem style- this I appreciated so much as other placed I've been to don't put in the effort and will default to a single row hem stitch. Mina was very kind and let me know the pants would be ready in 2 days. She charges $15 for my hemming job which is very reasonable. You pay up front. When returning to pick up my pants, I tried them on and they were spot on. I took a look at the hem and she did a wonderful job - the hem looked identical to the original. Mina was friendly, kind, efficient, and most importantly- a talented tailor. I will be bringing all my alteration needs here. Thank you, Mina's alterations.

Unfortunately when I picked up my sage green suit (which is the suit I am planning on wearing for my wedding) it was stained with this odd light tan mark that appeared to be makeup. Admittedly when I came back to ask them to clean it, they were gracious enough to clean the marks free of charge. It was difficult to communicate with them as well due to language barrier but I would be okay with that if it wasn't for the stained mark on the suits. That is absolutely unacceptable so I will not be recommending them. Although I appreciate their prices and the fact that they cleaned up their mess, it is a mess that should have never happened. I have included a photo of the before and after photo to allow you to make your own decision about the location. I'm sure that they have done adequate work based on previous reviews but unfortunately that was not my experience.

He pointed out several spots of my tux that needed attention. Pinned the alterations, scheduled my pickup, and was out the door in under 20 minutes. After driving home, I decided I wanted to pick up my tux a few days earlier, so I called Ara and asked. He was super accommodating and moved my pickup up a few days, free of charge. My alterations included taking in the jacket, shortening the sleeves, and hemming/tapering the pants. Everything was done cleanly, professionally, for a fair price, and with friendly service! They completely ruined not one, but TWO dresses for my future mother-in-law right before my wedding. One dress was literally cut open with scissors from the front where the mesh is, leaving a huge hole in the fabric because of their carelessness. Instead of properly fixing their mistake, they covered it with beads that look absolutely ridiculous. The dress is ruined. The beads don't go there and ruined the effect of my mother in law's dress. The second disaster? Both dresses were hemmed way too short. We specifically explained that these were gowns for a BLACK-TIE wedding and needed to touch the floor. Somehow they still managed to cut them so short that the shoes show. How do you ruin the most basic alteration request? A hem? We're talking about dresses worth hundreds of dollars that can never be restored to their original condition. One was $800 and the other was around $550. We trusted them with important dresses for a once-in-a-lifetime event, and they destroyed them. What makes it even worse is the attitude. No accountability. No professionalism. No concern whatsoever for the damage they caused. So many excuses and pulling down the dress when clearly that's doing NOTHING. Just rude, dismissive behavior while we stood there looking at dresses they ruined and trying to fix it in a cheap and unprofessional way. Now we're one week away from my wedding, scrambling to figure out what to do because of their incompetence. The stress, frustration, and money they've cost us is unbelievable. If you value your clothing, your money, or your sanity, go somewhere else. There are plenty of alteration shops out there. This is NOT A PROFESSIONAL OR A GOOD ONE. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND SANITY. We want our money back, we paid for professional alterations and instead received damaged, poorly altered dresses that can never be returned to their original condition. You had one job: alter the dresses correctly. Instead, you cut a hole into one gown, covered your mistake with mismatched beading, and hemmed both dresses far too short despite being told they were for a black-tie wedding. The result is hundreds of dollars in damage, unnecessary stress, and a ruined experience for our family right before one of the most important days of our lives. I genuinely wish we had read a review like this before trusting them. We trusted them with dresses worth over $1,000 combined, and you ruined both of them. No customer should have to pay for that. I spoke to the older lady owning the shop once and she seemed busy so there was no small talk just a brief answer and ran back to the shop, which is fine. I came back the week after to drop off something to get tailored and there was a notice on the door of a family emergency and they were closed for the week. I came back two weeks after at 3pm, and they are closed, but no notice this time. Hours posted are until 6pm. It's probably a bad time for them. I'll revise the review if/when I get my garment serviced.

Well, in trying to put this mantra into motion, I saw the pile of…read morenew work pants that have been in my closet waiting for me to get off my lazy butt to finally get them hemmed so I could actually wear them, so I looked up local tailors and found European Tailors. It's been ages since I last had alterations done (pre-pandemic at least!) so I didn't even know what the going rate was to hem women's work pants. After reading the positive reviews about their excellent skills and reasonable prices I took 4 pairs to them. This is a small shop inside an older shopping center in Artesia that also houses the Nilly's Neighborhood Burger joint and a PCB Bank. It's run by a husband and wife (I think the gentleman mentioned they're from Turkey). I tried each pair on so he could pin them to mark how much needed to be hemmed. I asked if they would use the original stitching as some alteration places in the past just used a machine to stitch a straight line across which didn't match the original hem. They said they could. Usually the turnaround time is a few days, but since they were so busy he asked if I could come back in one week. I didn't need the pants back soon so that was fine. I was charged $12 per pair which I felt was extremely fair. As I drove away I realized that I actually did need one of the pants back a day earlier than agreed upon. I called and asked if it was possible to expedite that one pair and the rest could be finished later. The kind tailor said no problem. To my surprise when I stopped by to just pick up the one pair I needed sooner, he had completed all 4 pairs. He did a wonderful job - my pants were beautifully hemmed. Excellent tailoring skills, friendly husband/wife duo, and good pricing. I will definitely be bringing all my alteration business here from now on.
